Just got our Traeger Flatrock, seasoned it at least six times, but haven't taken it for a spin yet. It looks extremely well made and I'm looking forward to some smashed burgers. The only annoying thing we found when putting it together was the the hanger for the propane tank. The curved part of the hanger that supports the back of the tank pushed it forward enough that it made the other end of the support pop out of the flange that was supposed to hold it in place, which made the tank hang at an angle. Other than that we're impressed.

That's great to hear Mary. If you contact Traeger customer support, they now have a fix for the propane tank hanger and will ship that out to you.

That front grease drain is worrisome for me. I seen another review where they said it gets quite hot above that as there is nowhere for the heat to escape but that drain. Would hope they modify that in the future.

I’m looking to get my first griddle. Some videos praise a front drip pan…and others don’t like it. It does seem easier for someone like me that doesn’t know any better to have it in the front. What are your positives for have it in the rear. I really do appreciate the feedback. I’m on the fence on a griddle to start with. The Traeger seems overpriced but was wondering about your experience. Thanks

@@spencerdockter336hen you make a contract with Walmart you must be able to keep up with demand and not slack off, I doubt Trager could keep up with the demand Walmart requires and probably don't want to share profits with Walmart and sell it themselves? Getting a deal with Walmart is striking it rich. That's big big money. Imagine how many stores Walmart has and how many customers they have? exposure to Millions of Customers online and Store. That mean Super Exposure to your product and possible Hundreds of millions of dollars in sales.

Two things I don't like about it:
    1. it has to be plugged in, I don't understand why it can't just use a battery for the ignitors and propane sensor.
    2. Has no Natural Gas option, this just seems like a obvious feature people looking to buy a premium flat top are going to want.
