Don't forget to leave a comment, I'm in the comment section all weekend answering everyone. Have a great weekend!
This video reminded me of two things: 1) the red rock of Utah is unmatched and clearly the best riding experience for this motorcyclist, and; 2) I always only stayed at lodging places where I could park my bike right outside my door. Great video. Thanks.
Well said!
Man, Please, My Bucket list just keeps getting Bigger every time you post a video! I'm not going to live long enough. Thank You for taking me along...sort of. I promise when I get my Bike out of the shop....And I have Enough Vacation time built up....And I have all my Bills caught up...And...And... Seriously, Just Thanks, From All of us that want to do what you do, but have made other commitments. Thanks!
You should totally check out Utah if you get the chance. Thanks for watching and coming along for the ride!
Great movie. I love that when I watched, I could say " hey, I've ridden there". It shows why Utah is such a great place to ride a motorcycle.
Glad you enjoyed it too!
So cool watching this video. That’s the exact route we took off 12 heading back to Texas. Some good riding memories. Beautiful rock formations. Can’t wait to get back, maybe ride it the opposite way. Thanks for all you do brother. Safe riding.
Glad you enjoyed it! That is a great route.
I appreciate how you check the panniers and top case before getting back on the road (at 11:19 for example). I have to constantly remind myself to check jacket zippers and cargo! Nice to see that you avoided the wet weather on this round.
I do that with my pockets and zippers too. Thanks, I'm glad I avoided the rain too!
One of the best states to ride, scenery never stops.
I agree!
I just went out to Moab earlier this year for a climbing trip. It was my first time in Utah. It was soooo beautiful! Everyday I wish I had my bike out there. Definitely need to plan a road trip to go back! Great video 🤙
So cool! You should totally get the bike to Utah, it's great riding there.
We’ve had over 80 days of above 101* this summer, one stretch of over thirty five days , and no rain. This past Monday it was cooler when I got up, and raining! I got on my bike and rode in the rain (no rain gear) just so I could get wet and feel the cool air.
I get that, its pretty bad in Phoenix too. Glad you got some good riding weather!
Hey Tim, I felt the same way driving through utah the first time.
After a few dozen trips its still awe inspiring! timing is everything.
Well said!
Utah is a beautiful state. I recently rode through MOAB and visited Arches National Park, I could have easily stayed there for 2 weeks exploring the various parks and roads. Cheers 🏍️
Totally agree!
Beautiful scenery…. Looks like you are enjoying the bike ….
Thanks! I am enjoying it, review coming soon
epic is a good word for it. the COLORS !!! [sighs] god was having his best day when he made red rock country. be safe my friend. ur wariness of flash floods is well earned. awww u look worn out; i hope u rest well.
Thank you! I was a little tired when I filmed this but I'm all rested up now.
Great to see you’re doing well.
Utah used to be a favorite of ours for camping vacations. Very different terrain indeed.
Thank you! Me too
I have been taking the Itchy Boots Vloging training, It is pretty interesting how she prepares her videos. I can say most of the time I mute the FTA adventure videos, the training talks about music in videos.
Sounds good!
Your videos are motivating. I ride solo also.
Glad to hear it
Great work staying clear of the weather while capturing exceptional scenery!
How has the new bike been working for you?
Is it a keeper?
Thanks for all your hard work to take us with you! Your videos are motivational and inspiring! THANK YOU. Safe travels
Thank you! Yes I’m loving the tiger, I have a long term review coming soon
Looking forward to it!
Did the ride to Capital Reef, Canyonlands and Arches this past mid May. Lucked out with no rain but very windy at times on some stretches. Pretty amazing scenery for sure. Did the other NP’s before but these were a treat.
That’s awesome! Glad you had a good trip!
All that space... and those HUGE skies. Just amazing. Anyone from the UK on a first visit would be confused by your petrol / gas pumps though. Over here green is petrol / gas and black is diesel.
The skies really are so big! That's good to know for when I come over there, I did not know that.
Truely epic scenery! Thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great footage, great editing, great music, amazing location. Thanks so much for taking us along. Really enjoying the new vibe of your videos! Go Tim!
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying my recent videos!
Absolutely stunning beautiful country. Great camera work, and music in video. Chin up wheels down.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great scenery! thank you for filming your rides. The opportunity to ride in that part of the country will probably never present itself to me, so I live vicariously through you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the scenery in this one
Beautiful Ride Tim, Utah is Amazing country for sure, just came back from Montana to AZ. on a Vstrom rode the 24 hwy. through Capital Reef NP in Utah and it was incredible. Thanks for showing this ride. Just amazing.
Thank you! Glad you got to ride 24 it’s awesome!
@@FTAAdventures It is, I wanted to turn off on to Highway 12 from the 24 but missed it.
Never even heard of Capital Reef NP but it was awesome. Went through Monument Valley and into Phoenix. Epic ride. All by accident 🤣
Every time I drive thru southern Utah, I want to move there.
Me too!
Awesome scenery, what a great share.
Glad you enjoyed it
So glad to see you riding again. I’ve been away for a few months. Super happy for you and that Tiger seems to be getting along well with you. I’ve been to Utah a few times and in certain places I like to pretend I’m riding on Mars as the landscape doesn’t look like anywhere on Earth that I’ve ever seen. Happy riding and maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to meet you in person again!
Thank you! The Tiger is great, I am really loving it. I agree, Utah is like another planet. Thanks you too, happy riding!
Looks awesome man! Thanks for taking us along.
You bet, thanks for watching!
Hey! Welcome to the desert SW!!
Thanks!
Watch for deer in that area!
looks fantastic
Ok 👏🎉👍
Thanks for another pretty episode. I think the best night of my cross-country trip was spent in Torrey, UT, so thanks for the memories.
Thanks for watching! Torrey is a great area.
Thank goodness no rain....I did see them off to the right, luckily they stayed there.
That's what I was thinking!
If you are going or went from Hankesville to Blanding that is a great ride. On that highway, about 15-20 miles before you get to Blanding there is an old light aircraft (maybe old Forest Service) landing strip. I’ve dispersed camped there.
Thank you, good to know!
I’ve been on the Blanding to Hankesville Scenic Byway when only had 1-2 cars pass me from behind and 2-3 coming at me.
I've ridden from Loa, UT to Hanksville, UT before. Amazing country!
It really is!
Enjoyed the video Tim. The store on the left at the stop sign at the end of the 100 miles to Blanding from Hanksville, stopped there 2 or 3 times. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
Thank you!
Awesome awesome awesome ! Would luv to ride wit you someday !
Thank you! Would be great to ride with you one day!
Nice...just purchased a new TransAlp and planning a trip to this area in June. Should be awesome 😎
Have fun!
I was there at Canyon de Chelly several weeks ago. Went out to Spider Rock overlook and back.
I’ll have to check out spider rock overlook next time I’m up that way.
I love Utah. The scenery is absolutely unreal. Thanks for another beautiful video, Tim.
Question on the Mosko Moto panniers - are you using a lock strap when you are off the bike walking around? I have the same panniers and love them, especially for off road. But I find I tend to use the metal locking panniers instead for long trips where I might have to leave the bike with my stuff. And then I regret it when I want to go explore some random unmaintained road and don't want to risk my legs.
Me too, Utah is awesome!
I'm not using anything to lock the panniers. I haven't had any issues yet but it does make me a little nervous leaving the bike for too long. My friend Cody uses locks and it seems fine as long as you don't need anything from inside the panniers during the day.
Hey bro, I'm in Bullhead City for the winter, get a hold of me and let's ride.
Sounds good, I am heading out of town again soon but maybe when I get back we can meet up!
@@FTAAdventures I'm here from Michigan till April, I'm down for whatever/wherever. Just let me know. Ride safe.
Nice video. We’ve never spent much time in Utah either on bikes or our pickup camper, maybe we should plan a visit sometime.
When you get home would you consider doing your long term report on the triumph? Maintenance, fuel use, reliability etc.
Thank you! You should definitely check out utah if you get the chance
Great video as always! Are you done with dirt Tim? There are some really nice easy dirt sections kinda where you were last time. The Burr trail is a great one,. I'll have vids up on that soon from my 21 day motocamping adventure from June.
Thank you! No not done with dirt, just didn't happen to ride any this trip. I'll check out that Burr trail next time I am up there.
How the durability of your bike so far...seen to be a good ride. The game of dodging rain drops, always fun if you win.
Bike has been great so far, I have a long term review coming soon. I agree it is fun if you win!
You grow a beard FAST ! LOL !
😂
@4:26 are you doing 52 in a 40 sir? "But officer I'm making a YT video..." LOL. Watch out for tar snakes!
Lol oops! 😬
Hi There Tim, Just curious, why didn’t you want to go to Monument Valley national park and check out the mittens ? They have camping there too.
Just didn’t think of it. It’s a beautiful area though!
Thanks Tim, another great video as usual. Quick (and maybe silly) question: I'm looking to replace my sunglasses and yours looks pretty cool. Can you recommend a reasonably priced and comfortable brand for me to check out? Thanks again and safe travels!
Thank you! Not a silly question at all. I actually just buy cheap sunglasses from Walmart. They tend to get covered in bugs and get scratched up so they don't last long enough to justify spending more than 10/20$ or so.
😆nothing like a pair of good ole Wal-ban sunglasses! Thanks for the tip!
Thx for sharing Tim! I lived in AZ for 6yrs but never visited UTAH NP's on my motorcycle:( It's on my bucket list now though...How much time would recommend to hit them all? I'm thinking of 2 weeks since I should visit COLO too since I've never been there.
2 weeks should be perfect. Mesa Verde in Colorado is worth a visit too and it's not too far from the Utah parks.
Great video, do you wish you went with the900? I’m on the fence of going from my 07 Vstrom to an 850 like yours.
No I don't, I'm happy with the 850. Budget was a major consideration but I think the 850 is really great. I have a long term review coming soon.
Having been on the Tiger for awhile now, how does it compare/contrast from the BMW? And, does your BMW maintenance experience cross over well for the Tiger?
I'm loving the Tiger, really getting along with it. I have a long term review coming soon.
Give me a shout if you ever come to Maui lots of fun off road on the volcano Haleakala
Hey Tim.. What happen to Layla , the beautiful GS??
I traded her in at 150,000 miles. The driveshaft went and it was time to replace.
Tim, was this ride in August?
Yes it was late august
Did you see Jacob’s Chair?
No I missed that one. I’ll have to look for it next time.
See lots of tar “snakes” ,,,do they get slick?…..
They get real slippery when it's super hot. I felt a little movement this time around
Lovely views, terrible guitar music
Your title
Thats says something
Ie from a well traveled guy
The parts of Utah I have seen make me wonder if that’s what Mars is like 😜
