Buttercups.Thy creep everywhere. Sprayed mine off two years ago and then put a new lay in with some clover. lo and behold the buttercupa are back with a vengeance this year.

Lots of things seem to be growing well this year (eg Grass, Buttercups, Weeds!) 8 months of rain to makes a lot of difference. I need to get Topping as grass is getting away but need a couple of dry days - have to wait till June but forecast still iffy. Nice to see Julie out & about more, especially after last year.

Hi Ian, When I was on the w/e rota I'd do a nosey walk round to check for secret projects and stashes of materials to warn me of upcoming jobs. Also half hidden ready to walk out the gate when nobody is watching, site foremen are happy for the heads up.
Brother is getting quite the homesteader with his meat and two veg.

But your wheat is coming along good. We in the Netherlands are gonna replant lots of parts. It washed away what we put in the ground. And stil wet here
Still wet indeed, got nearly 100mm since the 20th of may. Not cut haylage yet and no young horses in the fields eiter.. maaaaybe next week, but the fields are still soft..

Our fields looked like OSR with the amount of buttercups in it but definitely knocked them this year. Sounds like there’s a fair bit of spare silage this year about from last🤷♂
What did you use on your butter cups mate? And did it bash your clover?☘️
@@FarmerP usually use headland polo or pasture master, this year it was thrust. Just depends on and availability. Err we’re lucky to have grass and weeds after horses 😆. Doesn’t seem to knock it too bad but I’m only on 2.5ltr/h so it does catch it but doesn’t usually kill it
Did you remember to set the alarm at the wheat barn? I didn’t hear the usual two tone sound….. 🤔
Haha, no I didn’t that time Victoria, someone else without an alarm fob was going in there later to collect a thing. 🙂👍🏼

All the meadows round here are full of buttercup this year, they do like the wet ground don’t they. With the amount you have will it cause you any problems in the next few years?
We have always had a buttercup issue here Lewis.
what does bagged up mean when you saw the 3 cows in the barn that are going to have there little ones
They will bag up (start filling their udders with colostrum) a day or two before they give birth.
