I have a love of fog and mist. It just adds something to any scene and I don't understand people disliking it 🤔 I love that LSWR pottery! It's always nice to find pre-grouping railway stuff. As you said, the LSWR merged into the southern railway during grouping and it definitely wasn't the dodgy franchise of today 😂 Those little glue pots and ink wells are lovely little gems! It's great you two are uploading again 😁
Thanks Richard, the LSWR was a really intriguing bit of research, I had no idea of the link the Titanic. We have been experiencing the most crazy weather here for the last 2 months , I agree the fog can be really quite special. Take care😀👍

Still bemused at the idea that Roman shards are still to be found 1600-2000 years after they were tossed away. Pots are easily broken but shards remain practically forever. Seems like everything that ever happened to/in England leaves some bits behind (to be found by mudlarks). England is a legend!!

Mud puppy! Well, mostly. That was by far my favorite video. I love the idea of walking into the mist. Plus, y’all found some amazing inks! That little boat ink is my top pick. Love all the history behind the rail cafe mug. I bet that torso mounted on a little pole, maybe some driftwood, would look pretty darn cool.

Is it the rough and tumble life the ink wells have in the salty brine that cause the tops to be broken ... or, did some Victorian era scribe bite the tops off before they tossed them into the drink?
Hello there, I think it's simply the exposed section that gets knocked around more easily. Although a Victorian bottle biting scribe is a much more exciting story 😬x
I found a tiny little apothecary vial that is warped misshapen and bubbly like yours wondering if its a realy early one the top is rolled and amazingly imperfect 😊

The misty fog is so atmospheric, I was waiting for some alien creature to come lurching out of it! Love all the inks , the tiny head on the large body is hilarious and that tiny leg is adorable, "Here, swallow it!" 😆
😂 we've been out when it has been stormy and during a hail storm but that was a first for us, super spooky with just the noises of the birds for company x

Still love you finding Roman. The idea of possibly finding an intact pot or bowl thousands of years old would have me out hunting constantly. On a side note, I loved that you used British newspapers for your packaging from your Etsy store. Spent lots of time reading the articles LOL.
We both love finding Roman pottery! We like to re-use and recycle rather than creating more waste, hence the newspapers and there are so many free papers at the station where Dad commutes to work 😀

Loved the misty mud lark! Do you think the new mud-walker boots are easier to walk in than the previous boards? :-)
Definitely easier to stride in but the same in terms of how high you sit on the muddy surface 🥰👍
Not many big belters, but those tiny ink pots were wonderful, especially the one with the pen holder. That was a cool misty trek, but the Swedish wooden top probably had poor Josie melting from the humidity from the mist as well as the hard walking energy she put forth. Well done by the two of you!

That mist made it seem rather ominous. All too easy to get lost, separated or to have the ocean come in "faster than anticipated." Great Finds Folks! Love the Roman and ceramic pieces this time.

What a mist-ally mudlarking adventure! What did you think of your new murders in that sinking muddy area late in the video? They give you such good sticking on the mud, but I wondered if your wooden walkers would have stayed on top of that deep mud area! Keep squelching; I so enjoy the adventures and finds!

Hello Karen, funnily enough there's little difference between how much of the surface you stay on. Where the mudders excel is on the muddy slopes , Dad in particular has had some spectacular falls in the wooden mud Patten's.😂 You can't beat the wooden mud shoes for value though 😀💪x
