Hello Eric. Im 62 years old, country music missed a turn and wasted your gift. Ive never stopped listening to this album. They were wrong-you are great! Yep, play it in my caddy convertible in the summer...
Interesting concept how their passion sets off the sprinkler system. I went out and bought this CD the first time I saw the video on TV. Much happier times.
Went to school with Eric and his sister, Tyner! Lol. Actually saw Eric in concert in our hometown years ago, got him to sign my 85 Yellowjacket yearbook. I think he thought it was pretty cool. 👍
This song is definitely one of my favorites! Nobody does this quite as heavenly as Eric Heatherly does. I'm in love with the sound of this song. It is amazing!! I feel like Eric Heatherly deserves a lot more credit and recognition than he got.
Eric's show was AWESOME!! he did not do this song but I met him in person and got a chance to shake his hand and talk to him!! GREAT GUY! GREAT PERFORMER!!
Only time i ever heard this song was on the jukebox at Huddle House restaraunt where i use to wait tables around 18 yrs ago. I loved it so much i played it over & over on every shift i worked. Customers loved it too. Today is first time i've heard it since then. Still 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 loving it, its such a classic.
Eric heatherly,is awsome. He used to come over and practise music with my husband brother, growing up in school. I knew that he had alot of talent then.So he does need to get back to been big on the charts again.
This is one of those songs that just stuck with me. I remember hearing it when it first came out and loving it....all these years later it pops into my mind. Awesome Song!
never considered his music really country but i'm glad i heard it. the sound of it makes me picture things that are very similar to the video, 50's motels and old cars. aside from softer songs like this, i think of him more as rockabilly, but he plays guitar very well and also writes and sings his own stuff, unlike most artists these days. love this song, always will.
Recommended by a friend; glad I followed her recommendation. Very nice song! (I could do without the Elvis sideburns, though - but keep the Cadillac!!!)
I am going to see Eric tomorrow night...he is going to be in Indianapolis IN for a concert!! can not wait to see him...also a friend is going to introduce me to him and so I will get to meet him
Too bad he was such a flash in the pan on the radio because he's a great artist. Singer, songwriter, guitar player, the total package, but he came into country radio and at a really weird time too. Cryin' shame because most of what came out at the time was garbage. Bought this album right when it came out and literally wore out the CD in my 1st/2nd car. Great times then, right out of high school, my best girl, decent job, great music. What else could a young man ask for. This song takes me back.
Often wondered what happened to Eric...met him years ago & thought for sure he had a huge career ahead of him...a very personable & talented artist...so much BETTER than many of the artists making tons of $$$ out there today...the music industry is so strange & too many times HUGE talent goes overlooked..
I went to school with Eric and still remember him in his blue 55 chevy with his guitar and performing in different shows; im suprised he isnt more popular than he is.
I hear a lot of people praising his guitar work - and I guess that's what he was known for before he did solo work. But I think the vocals are outstanding.
Beautiful song & video....have not seen or heard this song in ages. I love Eric's voice and stylings, plus so handsome! I believe this song was the follow up to his hit cover of "Flowers On The Wall"......then we never heard much, if anything, from Eric since. Kind a shame, as he had it all, and was so talented...not only in his voice, but also a great guitarist and song writer... :)
i remember when Eric came out in 2000, countyr radio played FLOWERS ON THE WALL relentlessly but ignored most of his other songs including this one. Personally, i like this better than FLOWERS ON THE WALL
Chris Isaac would have had a major hit with this. It's too bad Eric's publishing company didn't pitch it to him once the tune was finished at country radio.
Yo, Harry, last time my wife talked to him he still has that '55. Was posed to put it on the cover of our magazine when he was back around Chattanooga but never got together. I don't know who had it in for him but like everybody sez, he shuda been a superstar. This song is one of the best overlooked songs and vids out there. Dude is still cool. Maybe shuda went the AGT route. Life's a hoot sometimes. L8r.
It sucks that his label just didn't feel like promoting him. Heatherly should have been a huge artist, not an also-ran. He deserved so much more... and we surely lost a lot of good music because of it.
He is still playing music in and around Nashville. He just signed with Plowboy Records and will be releasing a single to radio later this year. He has been active touring
Beautiful; Chill; Love it. Plus I want that bathing suit. And that guy. Dear Santa, I believe in kidnapping if it's in their best interest... (the kids on the "Naughty List" get the REALLY good stuff!)
This song is when I knew I was in love so much with my soulmate it's last for 15 years till he ended it this year 2020, don't know if I can ever love again it be hard to trust.
@unforgivn82 He's still around. I think he pissed off some record execs along the way....cost him a few contracts I'm sure. I've seen him playin some casino gigs here in the midwest. Ive met him a time or 2. great guy....and musician. I think he's in LA now. Hopefully we will see him on the charts again someday.
loved it since i heard it in 99-00-ish. instant hit in my eyes, but nashville seems to frown on talent these days. steve holy was also a shining star that only had a moment before the Tim&Faith crapstorm took over. crying shame what's happened to music. upsets me that some of the good ones still show up at the country music awards. they should boycott it because it's a fucking insult to people that actually write/play/perform REAL country music. this watered-down pop sht is a joke.
I'm a musician and appreciate good music...not a huge fan of country at all...this isn't country...this is country fused southern pop with a Hawaiian-Elvis era feel. Pretty chill.

I grew up with this song. It's still as beautiful as I remember.Eric has such a wonderful tone to his voice.
SOOO Underated, this is one of my favorite all time songs
this song should have been huge. It really stands out on it own!
This song is definitely one of my favorites! Nobody does this quite as heavenly as Eric Heatherly does. I'm in love with the sound of this song. It is amazing!! I feel like Eric Heatherly deserves a lot more credit and recognition than he got.

Romance to a whole new level
I bought this album just for this song back in the day...it's awesome.
I got his album when it came out. All of the songs are great. He should be a big star.
This is one of the most unrated songs every! Good vibes, good times. Thanks Eric!!!
How has this song only got 117k views..... thought I had put almost that many on here myself.
Only time i ever heard this song was on the jukebox at Huddle House restaraunt where i use to wait tables around 18 yrs ago. I loved it so much i played it over & over on every shift i worked. I've never seen this music video with more clarity and in HD before. The last time I saw this video it was on GAC in 2002.

Wish he were back on the radio. Miss that voice!
I love this song and that woman is gorgeous I love blonde hair it's so cute on a woman who is a natural beautiful blonde women
What a lovely song! Never heard of him until now. Reminds me a bit of Chris Isaak.
I went to school with Eric and still remember him in his blue 55 chevy with his guitar and performing in different shows; im suprised he isnt more popular than he is.
I actually just got one of his guitars and its signed
+EricHeatherlyVEVO still smooth after all this time. One of my favorites as a County radio music director. Loved it back then. Great vibe.
I hear a lot of people praising his guitar work - and I guess that's what he was known for before he did solo work. But I think the vocals are outstanding.
I remember hearing flowers on the wall when I was younger! One of my favorites to this day.
My mind is spinning in a daze, feels like i'm swimming in champagne
Beautiful song & video....have not seen or heard this song in ages. I love Eric's voice and stylings, plus so handsome! Never heard of this guy til last night, love his sound, and his style.
this is such an amazing passionate song and i'm the only person i know who was so in love with it!
Met him personally last weekend, he is a great guy. He was jamming with David Lee Murphy. He was awesome.
Love this song reminds me of good times
Still play some his stuff now and again. Great guitar. He opened with a fantastic version of Pipeline when I saw him in a small club.
i remember when Eric came out in 2000, countyr radio played FLOWERS ON THE WALL relentlessly but ignored most of his other songs including this one. Personally, i like this better than FLOWERS ON THE WALL
The Statler Brothers sang the original version of Flowers On the Wall back in 1965 on the CBS record label.
Gorgeous song!
Chris Isaac would have had a major hit with this. It's too bad Eric's publishing company didn't pitch it to him once the tune was finished at country radio.
one of my all time fave songs
I love love love this song. Why doesn't somebody get this guy front and center?
Love this song. Did a Northwest gig with him and he is an excellent vocalist, monster picker/performer.
You have a beautiful voice.
He's playing in Mount Vernon, Washington tonight. Looking forward to this show.

Love this video! I never could get a copy on tape or disc when it used to play on CMT.
Great Song☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
A song to remember.
This dude was the John Mayer of country music. Should’ve been way more popular
really like this song :)

Hey dude I have your guitar and it's so cool to own something you used, love that music dude
Super talented guy with Elvis Presley looks.
The best!
so soothing!
It sucks that his label just didn't feel like promoting him. Heatherly should have been a huge artist, not an also-ran. He deserved so much more... and we surely lost a lot of good music because of it.
So true...he should have been a huge star. Eric had the great, dark looks, talent and voice! I wonder where he is and what he is doing now?
He is still playing music in and around Nashville. He just signed with Plowboy Records and will be releasing a single to radio later this year. He has been active touring
Yep I ALWAYS adored his voice...
@@willyboy6126 If it was late 1950's-60's Eric would have also been a movie idol.
@@tarnsand440 For sure!
This is a decent album. I wish there were some videos for "She's so hot" and "Wrong 5 O'Clock". Love those songs.
Beautiful; Chill; Love it.
Plus I want that bathing suit.
And that guy.
Dear Santa, I believe in kidnapping if it's in their best interest...
(the kids on the "Naughty List" get the REALLY good stuff!)
Its a shame that Eric Heatherly left the spotlight soon after this song what a great talent
I love it a lot so good work
Such a great song, too bad not many people have seen it
This song is when I knew I was in love so much with my soulmate it's last for 15 years till he ended it this year 2020, don't know if I can ever love again it be hard to trust.
The blond woman is glam.
I was wanting to buy the cassette when he first came out but the price was outrageous
I remembner when this released it went to the top of thte charts then dropped off the face of the planet. Does he still produce m usic?
@Oplexicon VERY, very well put brother. You are definitely a musician...
dude use google ad block for chrome it works great no ads ever !
@hypr0040 Thanks man. Are you a musician?
He reminds me Duane Eddy in this song
@unforgivn82 He's still around. I think he pissed off some record execs along the way....cost him a few contracts I'm sure. I've seen him playin some casino gigs here in the midwest. Only 26,237 views after nearly 3 years...WTF??!!!
Very interesting rhythm to this song. I'm no expert in time signatures, but it sounds to me like it's in 8/8. Anyone know?
It was for a time...
where is the when a heart begins to drift.can someone upload it please?
@abominable36 because this was his best song ever...nothing he has done has compared it
@Shaniaforeverfan He has a FaceBook page, look him up!
The hot blonde in this video is his ex-wife, Heather Heatherly, she used to tend bar at Tootsie's in Nashville.
@unforgivn82 Yeah he does, Some of his new stuff is really good! Look up his song Painkillers :)
i hope so
true maybe thats who he was going for
Who’s here in 2021??
@tigerman4 third best song flowers on the wall and wouldnt mean a thing are better in my opinion
loved it since i heard it in 99-00-ish. instant hit in my eyes, but nashville seems to frown on talent these days. steve holy was also a shining star that only had a moment before the Tim&Faith crapstorm took over. crying shame what's happened to music. upsets me that some of the good ones still show up at the country music awards. they should boycott it because it's a fucking insult to people that actually write/play/perform REAL country music. this watered-down pop sht is a joke.

@doallthegoodyoucan i dust tried that its is better some how
Can't believe no one told him to lose the bo-hunk sideburns. He's a decent enough singer but the falsetto parts made my balls shrivel up.
I love this song, but let's face it. If Eric were to try out for American Idol, Simon would totally dog him. Eric is awesome tho, so SCREW Simon!! lol
kinda ripping off that chris issac sound in his music, not his singing, but also his style
Very Good Voice, Emotionfull!
