Thoroughly enjoyed that one Russel. Although you cut it short you managed to get some fabulous shots and infuse yourself with them awesome Fan vibes. In severe winters people have ice climbed the North Face of Pen Y Fan for decades. There are some videos on youtube. Any way, this was a thrill. All the best. Mark
Ahh haha thanks fella. Means a lot! Trust me mate, we’re still very restricted here. They cap the max altitude on drones in so many places. Quite lucky with this one. The general public are also quite wary of drones. I just try to stick to the rules as best I can. 👍 hope you’re good. Nice new videos coming from your channel lately dude.
Great video! Nice to see quality footage of a route that I love, as a local (Merthyr). You summited Corn Du, then Pen y Fan, then Cribyn and you missed out Fan y Big due to time restrictions. The path that you mentioned that runs along the base of Fan y Big is the roman road (a path actually built by the romans) Just thought I'd add some other bits of knowledge just in case you or anyone didn't know. Love the vids, keep it up!
Thanks so much! Really it’s good to get info and insights from viewers, especially locals. Thanks for being patient with my Welsh Pronunciations too haha. Thanks for watching. 👍👍
Looking at this video today 27 Feb 2020 you had it easy )). Today was blowing up to 40 MPH gusts and 4 foot of snow in places leading up to Corn Du and Pen Y Fan and beyond. I was testing out new boots and backpack.....and it was fantastic up there today!
Depends on where you start and your fitness level. From Pont ar Daf car park it takes me about 40 minutes to the summit of Corn Du and then an easy 5-10 minute walk over to Pen y Fan.
This is a great vlog. My favourite mountain in Wales to hike.
An amazing video.. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
I have a fear of heights. That's what this mountain taught me. Still I done it on my own somehow 🤣
Great video!!
Very cinematic footage mate epic!! The effort out in filming this hike definitely made it with it thanks for sharing this hike!! Cheers
Ahahhh cheers fella. Really nice comment there. More like that to come!
Fantastic.. thanks for this..👍
Great footage - huge fan of the Beacons (up there yesterday blooming freezing and a lot of wind and snow). Thanks for the video.
Great editing mate! Beautiful footage! 👌
Thanks very much fella!

Thanks mate! It got too dark to film after that point sadly. I was spoiled by the amazing conditions at the summit. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@thetrailhunter4469 I could see you were amid great conditions - great stuff!
congrats on 1,000 subs russ, your content is great : )
Ahh thanks so much Morgan. Really means a lot and thanks for watching!
That was class. A lot of work went into that but results were spectacular. Thanks for sharing.
pilgrim3 thank you very much, really means a lot. I love making these videos for people to enjoy. Many more like that to come. Thanks for watching!
Dude that opening shot! FIRE! it sucks around here they make it so hard to be able to fly drones anywhere!

@@thetrailhunter4469 Whenever i can make my way over there i think i would really love to check out this trail!
Yeah dude, you’ll like the Brecon Beacons. It’s a famous part of the country. I’d like to walk the entire Beacons Way. Notoriously wet and windy haha.

Do you need any special equipment to hike in winter? How cold was it?
You deserve more subs
How long does it take mate
I usually do it in between 4 and 5 hours mate. 👍
Interested to hear what jacket/shell you use for your training?
Currently using a cheap Trespass Down Puffy. £40 in a sale. For a shell using Frogg Toggs. £18 a set 👍 thanks for watching.
Just got a Patagonia MicroPuff. Very impressed with it. Not quite as warm as down but it’s so thin and light.
How long it took to climb it?

@thetrailhunter4469 wow that is nothing compared to Snowdon. Thanks for answering and great video btw!
