This is perfect. I'm doing this walk soon, made all the more easy with your knowledge. Putting on screen the maps and where to park is also really helpful. Thank you.
This is great Chris, we go hiking every 2 weeks and now starting to hike waterfalls. Got an RC boat for Xmas to take with as well!!! Defo will follow your video this week, we heading star gazing at Malvern Hill, stopping over so you've given me the destination for the next day to do. Thanks pal.
Absolute hero, thank you so much for this video, it was so helpful and made the hike way less stressful. Confirmed those are bastard steps, we can now see why! Thanks again 🙂
Great and interesting video. I must admit I usually park at Porth yr Orgof, so if I've got anyone there with me who've never been there before, we can check out the cave, walk passed the Blue Pool and if it's early enough or later in the day, have a quick (skinny) dip. Also, above Sgwd yr Eira (yes mate your Welsh needs a little work lol) is great for wild swimming.
Loved your video and amazing edits Chris! Wales is on my to do list of activities/adventures to do and your video hike guide of the four waterfalls is very very useful before going!
It is a fantastic and very informative video Chris. Great job. I am thinking to go there. Probably there are more water on waterfalls - more rain recently and more slippery I suppose. But I would love to go there at the autumn time.
shwmae! I just found your channel and love your camera work! awesome footage! drone through the falls? epic! awesome that you seemed to have the falls to yourself, it's always been manic when we've gone. 😅😅
Wow this looks amaaaaazing and has just gotten me so so excited for my adventure here next weekend. Can I ask you how long in total it took you please?
Yes, that final one 'Clun' is impressive because (as you noted in your video) it hadn't been particularly wet recently. That is the single biggest factor which most people forget - the time to visit any waterfall is when it's been very wet, and unfortunately that's when people tend to stay at home. I once saw Hardrath Force after a period of turbulent weather. It was the closest I've ever seen in this country to Niagara Falls (and I've been everywhere). Almost frightening - one slip in the viewpoint scramble and I would have been a 'gonner'. So, do go to South Wales, but if you're going in the heat of summer, go to its beautiful sand beaches instead. And after it's been raining, and preferably hard, go again to these waterfalls.
I've done this walk many times after a heavy rain, you get soaked just walking up to Scyd Y Eiira from the spray, let alone walking behind it, it's breathtaking when it's in full flow, the sound is deafening.
Hi thanku for the epic video! Quick question… dont think ul answer me on time but hey-ho! Im going to visit Sgwd yr Eira (waterfall no.2) only. So im trying to figure out which carpark is best (shortest/easiest) to take me direct to only that waterfall and back to carpark again! Checking google maps, it says Cwm Porth car park is the shortest direct walk to Sgwd yr Eira (37 mins-probbly 50 mins for me!), and the one you are recommending on ur blog it shows on google maps 1hr 25mins walk…. Anyway..we shall decide tomorrow…
Great walk through of this epic walk Chris but with all due respect at 0:35 you said the walk was suitable for all ages and suitabilities.... - seeing you panting hard after coming back up from yr Eira I would re evaluate that to be honest. I have done the walk many times and there wasn't steps there when I 1st did it but I have never found it an easy walk - the ground in lots of places is uneven and and in times of rain can be lethal under foot. Great filming of this place though. atb Alan
Hello Chris, great video. Was wondering how long this trek took you to do for both going and coming altogether? I'm planning a trip to this waterfall walk on Friday this week.
Excellent blog how long would you say it would take to get round all four waterfalls as we are coming on holiday and Jim / would we be able to do it in one day and
Great video Chris! My wife and I followed your route, and even tried climbing a steep route from Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn as we heard it was a short cut onto the main route. But we backed out from the steep ascend a few seconds. Do you have a clip of the walk from the bottom of Sgwd Isaf Clun-gwyn back onto the red route?
These videos are really helpful! I'm planning a trip over in mid-May and intending to do at least most of this walk. I've seen elsewhere a recommendation for a path from the village of Penderyn (bonus: visit the distillery!) Have you done the approach from that end?
It's a wonderful place. Please wear good shoes, like hiking shoes. And if the weather was wet or is wet, the path to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th waterfalls can be slippery. Mind your steps and don't risk! By the way, there are no toilets near the waterfalls. There is one with the Cafe near the 1st waterfall, Sgwd Clun-Gwyn. You will be charged 2.5GBP for using the mobile toilet or you buy a drink and get free use of the toilet.
We love your videos! It’s short, informative and doesn’t involve all the youtube crap most people have! Lol What is the post code for this car park please?
Thank you so much for the vlog, I'm intending on staying in this area in November. Is it all right to take your dog on this walk? Again thank you for the vlog, for someone who hasn't been before, I found your instructions clear and as a lone traveller feel more assured from watching it. It's a thumbs up from me.
I tried to go there about ten years ago but I got lost and had to go back to the town where I was staying, because it was getting late and I never made It to the park. It was my birthday.
Great walk including a great waterfall... but 100% NOT suitable for all abilities. Some steepness in places and steps down to Sgwd Yr Eira could be problematic for some. Allow time for plenty of stops and patience if you think you could struggle.
I proposed behind Sgwd Yr Eira! Lovely to see it again. Great guiding video, well done
Congratulations, what a spot that is. I hope they said yes.
Wouuuu thank you so much for this beautiful views you shared with us ❤❤❤
AWESOME MATE THATS ONE AMAZING VIDEO, VERY CONCISE AND PRECISE, YOU HAVE GOOD EYE FOR VIDEOGRAPHY, CHEERS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Epic Footage from the drone. Excellent video
A great video of my local falls, and yes number 4 is the best👌
This is perfect. I'm doing this walk soon, made all the more easy with your knowledge. Putting on screen the maps and where to park is also really helpful. Thank you.
A stunning walk, with some epic drone shots. I now know what Sgwd means in English.Unforgettable.

Absolute hero, thank you so much for this video, it was so helpful and made the hike way less stressful. Confirmed those are bastard steps, we can now see why! Thanks again 🙂

Amazing video
Got a family holiday booked in Rhandirmwyn this coming Friday.
Hopefully there’s a bit more rain in the next few days so the waterfalls are more impressive!
It is a fantastic and very informative video Chris. Great job. I am thinking to go there. Probably there are more water on waterfalls - more rain recently and more slippery I suppose. But I would love to go there at the autumn time.
Fabulous thank you 😀
THANKS FOR THE INFO THOUGH, BIG HELP.

Thanks, Luckily i went during the local lockdowns when it was very quiet. Its quite the cycle from Swansea!
Could you tell us What we should enter into google maps to find the car park please.
chris reply mate
Zoomed in on the image he showed… Small Car Park - Comin Y Rhos
Update: He got lost on one of his walks.
Just Google: “English Border”.

must c great information thanx
Excellent blog how long would you say it would take to get round all four waterfalls as we are coming on holiday and Jim / would we be able to do it in one day and
Lovely video Chris, did you use a drone to capture the shots near the waterfalls?
Great video Chris! My wife and I followed your route, and even tried climbing a steep route from Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn as we heard it was a short cut onto the main route. But we backed out from the steep ascend a few seconds. Do you have a clip of the walk from the bottom of Sgwd Isaf Clun-gwyn back onto the red route?
Great video how long would you say it takes to do the whole walk without stopping to film😁👍
The set of bastard steps 😂 very true! Made for giants too!
How far from car park to the second Waterfall approx please.?
Hi mate is the 4 waterfall walk any good for wildswimming or would you suggest the elidir trail? Cheers

I've been there
We love your videos! It’s short, informative and doesn’t involve all the youtube crap most people have! Lol
What is the post code for this car park please?
Did anyone manage to find the postcode or 3 words location of the small car park by any chance ?
Thank you so much for the vlog, I'm intending on staying in this area in November. Is it all right to take your dog on this walk? Again thank you for the vlog, for someone who hasn't been before, I found your instructions clear and as a lone traveller feel more assured from watching it. It's a thumbs up from me.
Thanks for the kind words, I hope you and your dog had a good walk?
That would be a 'dogvlog' then.
I tried to go there about ten years ago but I got lost and had to go back to the town where I was staying, because it was getting late and I never made It to the park. It was my birthday.
New sub 😀
Can you please send location of the carpark
anybody know the postcode of the carpark? :)
What three words ///reclaimed.glosses.buffoon
Is there anywhere to camp on this route?
There are spots you could camp but considering it’s a very busy trail, you won’t exactly be inconspicuous.
I missed the higher view of the 4th one, really annoying
Good job Dude..🙌..Really well explained,I'v got to take my Mini 2 there..😍 Sub'D😉
I going tomorrow is my birthday then friends and family
7️⃣🔄5️⃣?
My God , sooo dangerous
Who’s filming you
Little misleading as to how steep and precarious the climb down to Sgŵd isaf Clun Gwyn is.
Great walk including a great waterfall... but 100% NOT suitable for all abilities. Some steepness in places and steps down to Sgwd Yr Eira could be problematic for some. Allow time for plenty of stops and patience if you think you could struggle.
It's Waterfall Country and not 'County'.
Thanks John
THE LONG SOCKS ARE NOT A GOOD LOOK, SORRY BUT IT'S PLAINLY OBVIOUS.
Beautiful waterfall wow
