Custom relic Tom Delonge Stratocaster in shell pink

- Assembly of a partscaster Tom Delonge Stratocaster but with a real Tom Delonge neck attached to a shell pink relic body and fitted with a Bare Knuckle Warpig pickup.

Obviously I know the pickguard, screws, bridge etc. etc. look all shiny and new, I'm not "relic-ing" them just yet in case I decided that I don't want to keep this as a guitar or want to change the parts out for something else.
The pickup is maybe a bit on the sharp end for Blink 182 but I don't care, I love how it sounds and I love how this guitar plays. I rarely play Blink songs anymore even on the Delonge anyway...
Also I know I suck at recording sound demos... Good thing this channel isn't about my playing! I haven't done it since I was 17/18 so give me some time to get better at that for future videos, maybe I'll just keep using my 2 year old.

Stunning result, congrats! Didn't expect to like the Bare Knuckle but it fits the style perfectly. One thing I can highly recommend is to put in shorter grub screws in the bridge saddles or cut the existing ones down so you can't feel them any more. It bugged me for years that there was always something coarse scratching at my hand when palm muting. I did this tiny mod to my Squier Tom Delonge and it plays a hundred times smoother now!

She came out great, right choice on the pick guard. While I prefer the color of Sea Foam over Shell Pink, I love the look of the relic finish.

The pearl pickguard looks great, flat black would be good with a brighter pink without relicing

It's a good question and one I can't answer as it wasn't my guitar, I just bought the neck from him! I do know he still plays it only now it's got a maple neck - he's on Insta @ illbillwillkill

Was the body expensive?
I'd have to find the old invoices but from memory the raw body was £200 and then another £200 or so for the paint job so it depends on your idea of expensive. At the time it was affordable for me, right now I would just do it myself. But that's not to take away from his work on it, he did a good job in my opinion! Hope that helps!
