A new painting, with my favorite subject of tangerines ! I started this one with an acrylic 'imprimatura' in the backgroud, so the warm color would be visible through the over painting here and there.

I'm a great admirer of your work. How do you get such accuracy in the initial drawing? I struggle with that step in my own paintings.

hi Alan, hmm its not as accurate as you think maybe?.. To get the symmetry in the bowls etc, I do use a grid sometimes, to check left vs right...

Hi Dan, thnx I'm glad you like it. Hmm interesting questions. I think I started pretty late, at 25 or so. And to save money.. :) .. only buy paint and potatoes ... repair the holes in your clothes with contact glue... no holidays... dont drink (and no drugs)... eat and paint only... :)

Are you using an older DSLR/camera to film? Or maybe rendering at a very low bitrate? It's a shame the video is so blurry, especially for being 1080p! All the detail is lost in the extreme video compression.

Hi! Blurry? Yes I do use a webcam. If you know a dslr or similar better cam that has motion detection for filming, let me know !
