I found your fathers video on making necks and hit subscribe so I could learn more only to find this video. Crazy thing about youtube is that its kinda forever. Im still going to go through the vids he posted to learn what I can, he seemed like someone that would've been nice to talk to, im glad I found his channel.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Your dad and I were best friends in high school and lost touch with one another when he joined the military. I wish we could have reconnected. I’m praying for you and your family.
I knew something was wrong when there wasn't any new videos. I didn't know he passed away. I'll miss him, and am truly sad. Thanks for informing us about what happened. God bless all your endeavors young man. Your dad was a hero in many ways.
Eric, I’m so sorry. I lost my Dad 9 years ago to pancreatic cancer. Unlike your Dad, my father went from Diagnosis to death in 6 weeks, though he was older, 85. Your Dad was a great guy, and you seem like a fine young man, your Dad did well raising you. You and your family will be in my prayers
So sorry to hear this news….your dad seemed like an awesome individual. Not only was he passionate about making CBG’s but he was a talented song writer as well. Eric, I’d like to thank you for this video, I think your dad must have extremely proud of you as well.
Moses Moses!! What an awesomely inspirational person. Heaven is definitely rejoicing. I certainly look forward to shaking his hand someday in the great beyond!! Sorry for your loss Eric and thank you for the update! Blessings to you and your family. FYI: It’s never too late to start playing an instrument (hint hint) never know what the future may hold 😃
My deep condolences to you, Eric, and your family. Mr. Burrell's videos have a special heartfelt spark that caught my attention as something unique. I looked forward to each. They helped me on my own musical and life journey. Your father was a good teacher and advocate for the CBG passion. I will remember his kind and sincere instruction. Thank you, Moses.
I've personally been doing woodworking for about 5 years now and always looking for another interesting project. I started watching these cigar box guitar videos last year and noticed that people all over the world are doing these type of builds. Today I found your father's videos and was very impressed with his methods. When I watched this video, it broke my old heart, because I'm also 57 years old and these hobbies are also my retirement passion. Your message really sent the tears and I hope that you will someday find your own interests in a hobby like this. Your father seems like he was an amazing person. Good luck young man and I hope that whatever you decide to be your life's path is successful and rewarding.
Moses would be very proud of your courage, and courageousness in giving us all the sad news of your father's passing. Its strange how someone I never met could be so important in so many lives. His mannmannerisms and grace are surely evident in you Eric. Your Dad spread a lot of love through his video lessons and weekly concerts, and through them he will live on with his subscribers. The good ones always leave us far too quickly, and require our strength to carry on in this crazy world. You ,Eric, will be in my prayers, as well as your family. And your father will have a special place in my memory. I found his channel too late, but loved all his spirit and joy that he exuded. I miss you more than you can imagine Moses...God bless you my friend. Till we meet in that heavenly band, and you can teach me again, I remain your sad but grateful student. Mike from Boston.
Your father had a positive impact on my life...thank you Eric for your words about your father. My prayers are with you and your family. Much love, Pete
Eric, I just saw your father’s neck video, and I very much liked it, and your dad’s persona and delivery. I am so sorry for your family’s loss. Son, I wish you and your family all the best in the future. 🫡✌🏻👍🏻❤️
This saddens me! When I first saw your father's UA-cam page I had to ask if he had family in Columbia SC because I have a friend with the same last name and to my knowledge Burrell is uncommon name. We chatted about your father performing at a future planned cigar box festival I want to promote.
Eric, please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss! I too lost my father to cancer. I have enjoyed my interactions with your father through his UA-cam channel. I shared with him, not only an interest in CBGs, but I also spent a career in the Army. I hope you and your family can still find joy in this holiday season with fond memories of your father. Take care!
I didn't want this news but I knew something was going on. I wish I would have found his channel much sooner but I have watched every video. He was an amazing man and I know that he will be deeply missed. Thank you for the wonderful words about him, I didn't know him personally but I did feel connected to him and as a Army vet myself it is cool to have that connection with him as well. I have looked into the CBG hobby as a way to keep my mind occupied and my hands busy, I learned a lot from your dad and I will keep watching his videos when I need help figuring something out. I wish there was more I could say or do in this situation, I am so sorry for your loss.
Thank you for your concern. Building cigar boxes was his way of keeping busy to avoid boredom and bad thoughts. I hope that whatever hobby you choose to pursue will do the same for you. -Eric
Condolences to you and your family Eric. That would have been difficult to do but it’s much appreciated and you spoke so well. Moses will be greatly missed. 🙏❤️
I just saw this video and I am so saddened by this news. Moses’ videos inspired me to build and play the cigar box guitar. Never had the privilege of meeting him but he responded to a comment (as politely and beautifully as one would expect) one time and it made my day. My deepest sympathies to the Moses’ family and friends.
Eric, So sorry about your dad. I became aware of him and his channel. He will be missed by all of us who watched the videos. My best wishes for you and your family and tell us on here is we can be of service, son.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the pain of your loss at least he is not suffering anymore. He was a great player and builder and will be missed by us all. Maybe one day you could take up the cigar box guitar. You could build them and play them its not difficult and if the bug grabs you like it does most of us you will get great enjoyment out of it. Once again I'm sorry for your loss and have a Happy Thanksgiving
Im so sorry for your family's loss. I always looked forward to his videos and reached out awhile back when there was a gap in his posting and he was nice enough to reply.

R.I.P. Moses...you will be missed...so sorry for your sad loss Eric. Your Dad made fantastic videos and was an amazing builder. Condolences to you and your family.
Eric, what a fine tribute to your father in this video. I discovered this channel recently, and was struck by his craftsmanship, creativity and passion for building and playing the amazing songs he wrote. I will miss him, as will so many he touched, but I am grateful to have saved his videos (for tips, lessons and songs). Perhaps it might be possible to leave this content available for others to see and benefit from? And consider keeping at least one of those guitars- you never know when you might want to pick it up.... It is fitting that you have your own interests and that you discover and follow your passions . I'm sure that your Dad would want nothing less for you. My deepest sympathy, and may you have comfort in happy memories.

I have been out of town and returned to see this and am devastated. Your father was a wonderful and talented man and I truly enjoyed each and every video and song he shared with us here on his channel. The CBG community may have physically lost your father but his spirit lives on in us all whenever we use one of his building or playing tips and listen to the songs he wrote and performed. I wish peace and blessings to your family and know that Heaven sounds a little bit brighter with Moses playing up there now.
Thank you. As I said in the video, I will keep the channel up so his videos can continue to be enjoyed. Thank you for taking the time to write this. -Eric
