you give me so many good memories. I had a '73 Tradesman 300. Parts were interchangeable with the '75.I had shag rug, sink, icebox, and A LOT OF FUN in it! Kept it for almost 25 years.. thanks, for the memories.
I bought a maxi-van version of this in 2011, it had tint since it was new in 77,the seats were like new.One ton version with dual front and rear A/C that worked. 4:11 rear end, that beast would pull a 27 ft boat with no problem. Had every option you could get. Spent many a night in that shaggin wagon at the lake.
Love your videos, but the one thing I don’t like about them is, most of the time it’s a sad ending. So many of the vehicles you video could have landed into better hands and would of lived on and been someone’s pride and joy. Keep on keeping on 🤟🏽
Whoa Nelley, it's a van, thank you man. Spurgeon Toyota-Chrysler was located at 1107 West Marshall in Longview, TX and this now Byrider a used car dealer. They have been gone for a while. This van was assembled at the height of the 1970s van craze and looks like it had a lot of home done modifications to it over the years. I'd agree that it seems like the previous owners were into motorcycles in some fashion. We got the VIN, we win: B1 for B Series van, 1/2 ton rated, 1 for compact van/Tradesman, A for 6,000 # or less Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, E for 318 V8 with two barrel, 5 for 1975 model year, X for Missouri Truck Assembly, St Louis, MO (Fenton) and the rest is the production sequence. The Fenton plant complex operated from 1959 to 2009 and vans were also built at Pillette Road in Windsor Ontario, Canada from 1974 to 2003. The Fenton plant for a time was also a minivan plant, but today, Windsor Ontario (a different plant than Pillette Road) is the minivan assembly site. We got the buck (tag/label), we're in luck: exterior paint is code DT8664 or B1 Powder Blue. T.O.N. means "Truck Order Number" and has to do with internal factory scheduling and coordination. Whoa Nelley, 1975 and not to soon be alive. That's it, time to quit. Powder Blue, it's over for you. Going to be flat and that's that. MOPAR not going very far. Dodge should have been kept in the garage. Dodge van ready for the trash can. 3-1-8 used to be great. Made in MO and gotta go. Going to get squished and many here, UTG for sure, the van faithful, possibly Benny and only slightly so for the Google Man are going to be pissed.
The Wagon wheels of the 70's were the 3rd custom wheels after the Cragers SST's and the Slotted Mags. Back before the early-mid 80's there wasn't much of a custom market, You basically had 7 choices, stock hub caps/chrome wheels, stock steelies, Moons, Half Moons, Mags, Crager's and Wagon Wheels. When I was in High School I had a 76 Camaro with Mags on it, My best friend had a 79 Hatch Nova with Wagon Wheels and my GF had a 74 Malibu with Baby Moons.
This is the van I would roll around the country in once I rehabbed it, but unfortunately it is still a bucket list thing to do. The right era, the right color, just not the right place or time🤷♂️
Yep, would be a good Camper Van Conversion, fix the motor, fix the rust and throw a cheap tractor paint paint job and use it as a camping/fishing rig. My step-dad has a 68 Ford van that we built into a camping rig. He bought it from a neighbor, got it running, threw an oliver green tractor paint paint job on it and he and mom pretty much spend every weekend at a camp ground just living off the land.
Those original plastic grilles on these B-series vans are very prone to cracking and shattering. Anytime someone comes across a good one they should grab it!
I think Vans are interesting special since nowadays some people are turning them into tiny houses. I'm really fancy and I'm up I forgot the UA-camrs UA-cam channel but he took an old van like a Dodge Tradesman can you turn that into a really nice little home away from home. Heck with his highest house prices are getting thinking about doing something like that myself if I can find a big enough van. But honestly I'm seeing a future are Vans may become scarce to even find in the yards are they so expensive to buy cuz you can turn them into nice little homes. But awesome video you looking forward to the next one.
You need to get a Dodge Van, Bro. This Dodge is worth saving. It being a (smog exempt) 75........ That's Gold in California. It just needs money. The Body looks good and almost every part on this B Van can be replaced or rebuilt.
Damn, inflation has got this yard good! WTF is $20 a wheel while charging you for a rotted tire! *SAD!* I wish the yard would've tried to sell it. The body is good, but the interior is garbage. Hope you were able to get the grille, it looks to be good money! Man I love the Pennzoil sticker, wish it would peel off!
@@googleusergp I’ve been trying to get healed up after having hand surgery! It’s a little hard to work one handed! Injured it again six months after surgery and now getting better. I can’t wait to do some real work on it though!

Too bad it can't be restored Benny. It could have been a nice van to show off at local and abroad car shows, but with rat and mice droppings it's best not to because of diseases. Word of helpful advice, wear your PPE from now on and just leave this one where it lies.

i was a tween/teen in the 1970s. and these were everywhere back then.
If the van is rocking dont come knocking i love me a van had several of them
I never was a van fan. This one looks like it could be brought back but I agree, it's ruff!
Would make a good camper van conversion.
