The part I’ve yet to understand in stock making is cast doesn’t take into consideration the width of the comb and therefore seems a little useless as a measurement. I have a little British SXS with very little cast off but the stock is so thin it works perfectly. On the other hand, my trap gun has a huge amount but the comb is as fat as a nice cucumber so it also works pretty well. The problem arises if I tried giving my measurements to a stock maker, I wouldn’t have a clue what to tell them other than don’t finish it and leave wood so I can grind away. 🤷🏽♂️ Anyway, enjoyed your videos quite a lot 👍🏼
