    I have 2 kids and am 4 months postpartum from my second. I have a crazy pelvic tilt which causes a lot of pain in my lower back. I added your stretches to my routine today and 4 hours later my lower back still feels much better! Thank you thank you thank you!

    Really helped my hips! They’ve been tight for months and no matter what stretches I did they didn’t feel open and now they feel open! Thank you Michelle!

    Hi, Michelle these are all good stretches. Hip stretch is must because it gets stiff very quickly.

    Can you place weights(11kg plate) on legs to open up the hip flexors faster? For someone with tight hips and just started flexibility routines 8 months ago.
    Or is it too much? I just want faster results to get my straddle pancake ability.

    Do you have a video for correcting anterior pelvic tilt

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  3 роки тому

      @aneg09 anterior pelvic tilt is usually associated with tight hip flexor muscles located at the front of the hips. Yes here is the video for hip flexor stretches, just start slowly and gradually and take your time taking care not to overarch your lower back during the exercises - I hope you enjoy this routine! ua-cam.com/video/UDf_Ey7FfkY/v-deo.html

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  4 роки тому +1

      Yes Thor it sounds as though you may have some hip joint tightness - these exercises may help to improve your movement but do them gently - it may take a while to notice improvements too

    Thank you Michelle for another great informative video. Should I do the stretching bf or after a leg workout? Thank you!

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Teresa the stretches will always be more effective when your body is warmed up, so perhaps a few hip swings prior to work out and the majority of stretches afterwards - all the best!

    Hi. concerning one of your exercises when standing I swing the right leg I have a pain in the hip and the lower back always on the right side. left side nothing. what do you think? thank you

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  4 роки тому

      Perhaps you have an issue with your right hip or lower back - if its not painful during normal movement then try not to worry too much and perhaps see a physiotherapist if concerned

    Are all these stretches safe for ppl with osteoporosis?

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  Рік тому +1

      @clairemullin9679 Hello there, yes to the standing exercises providing they feel comfortable, avoid any exercise that causes discomfort. Leave the lying down mat stretches in this video because they include full range rotation of the spine which should be avoided with high risk of bone fracture. I will be releasing more osteoporosis specific exercise videos in coming months so stay tuned and all the best! 🙏

    How much should I stretch per day

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  3 роки тому +1

      It depends what you're tying to achieve, for hips you can do these hip stretches daily, longer gentle holds are more effective than short holds and be sure to breathe out during your exercises, all the best!

    These movements are great, but isn't it for older people? I'm 35 and suffering from back pain and neck pain for the past 18 years and didn't do anything about it. I can move but I don't have enough patience to do slow movement. Can you please teach something on the go?

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Shahab these exercises are for all ages, unfortunately fast stretches are not necessarily the best way to move with back pain
