    Hey Cam,
    I saw you today on the Clyde in Glasgow and I wasn’t sure if that’s you (I need to wear my glasses more haha) but I just yelled Yamsquad and you answered so I was sure that’s you! I was so surprised to see you!
    Unfortunately before the second division you just left Yam somewhere and I was about to ask you if you are busy so we can take a pic, but maybe next time!
    It was just priceless seeing my idol on the same river where I row, it definitely made my day! Thank you for being an inspiration and keep going, continue to be amazing 🥰🥰

    I’ve joked about hitting a stroke rate of 1 Hz and you went out there and did it.

    I think the highest I ever hit was 57. We did a junior combine thing and since my boat came in last in total points, we also were the last to choose our boat. We ended up having to race Georgia (Flat bottom, novice boat). On top of that, we had to have one of our coaches cox, so we were carrying an extra 165 pounds. And even with a head start in every piece, and really putting the petal to the metal on stroke rate, we still came in last every time.

    Very neatly held. This is the kind of rate you see unfit numpties in a regular gym trying to do (with hands over bent knees) - a bit like the broadcaster Andrew Marr was attempting when he gave himself a stroke.

    The higher the rate, the more u stop the boot as background intormation. But a cool video. An idea for worldrecords: The fastes time while wearing a rolex . The fast time while wearing headphones from company x. The fastest time while askimg chat gpt to prepare the charts for the next meeting. With product placement. Und can have an amazing world record for each item u wear while breaking the record.

    Hey, i’m on my first season of rowing and I was in a scull today for the second time, I tend to pull too hard with my right oar causing me to turn my boat without doing it on purpose. Any tips on how to even out the pressure? My friends said they went through the same thing but I’m hoping to grow out of it eventually.

    • @CameronBuchan
      @CameronBuchan  11 місяців тому +1

      I can’t really tell without seeing what’s going on but it could also be that one blade is getting in the water and connected before the other. Trying to make each hand as consistent as possible unfortunately not really any shortcuts!
