Joe Lando's stunt double for "When a Child is Born" on ET [2.23]

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT takes a look at the stunt performed by Mike Smith for the DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN episode "When a Child is Born." Includes comments from Joe Lando, Mike Smith, and Jeff Ramsey. (Transcript below.)
TRANSCRIPT:
[Mary] ...to the real rough stuff, he's no fool. Meet the guy who really falls for him.
[Joe] I like doing the fights, but there's a line you have to draw. I'm not Jackie Chan.
[Mary] On DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN, Joe Lando's no wimp -- he does much of his own stunt work -- but on Saturday night's episode there's one sequence he thought he'd better leave to his stunt double, Mike Smith; a 20-foot fall down a bone-crushing granite cliff, into a stream just 16 inches deep.
[Joe] This is crazy. I'm going to be curious as to how he makes it through it.
[Mary] Mike, for one, was glad to see that Joe wouldn't be trying this one.
[Mike] Why? He's making a ton of money doing what he does, why does he need to roll down a cliff?
[Joe] He's going to take the punch, turn, hits this ledge, hit the second ledge...
[Mike] Hopefully
[Joe] ...and then flip over and land into the water, right?
[Mary] While a 20-foot drop may not sound too dangerous, stunt coordinator, Jeff Ramsey, says every inch is precarious.
[Jeff] This is an unforgiving stunt. One false move, he could break an elbow, pop his shoulder...
[Crew] A-camera, mark.
[Mary] Three cameras rolled.
[Crew] B-camera, mark.
[Mary] Then, Mike took the plunge.
[Mary] A perfect 10. Here's what the finished scene looks like.
[Mary] A little battered, a little soggy, but otherwise OK, Mike took his little tumble in stride.
[Mike] That was good.
[Mary] Ah, do it again! You can see that stunt when DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN airs Saturday on CBS. That episode is also the prelude to the pregnant Dr. Quinn's delivery date.

Oooh yes Sully is sooo cute with that long hair. Oh I just love him and the show!!!! Please don't ever stop showing the videos!!! It was my favorite show in the 90's. And still my favorite show on reruns. Thank you so much for showing Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. I love Jane and Joe both. They just don't make good shows like that anymore.
