Thank you, Charlie, for this nice reaction. This is a particularly difficult song to sing, especially the later parts where it's a continuous belting. Even Morissette admits this is challenging for her, but knowing her, she always gives it her best and delivers topnotch performances. That's why her rendition of the song (the original singer is another Filipina singer) became so popular and trending, that it has become a challenge for singers and wannabe singers to perform it the way Mori did. No one has done it so far. Also, this Wish Bus video already reached more than 13 million views, and the lyric video for the tv drama series "The Broken Marriage Vow" OST has already more than 23 million views!
The fact that it's hard to sing, and yet Mori nailed it, while sitting...cross-legged.. in a bus studio.. makes it the more amazing and incredible! 🥰
If you added all her other performances, whtr solo or duets, is already more than 50 millions views.
Ronald I don't think Morissette knows how to gear it back. As long as I've been listening to her I've never detected any holding back by her. Whether it is for 10 or 10,000 people she gives the absolute best that she can deliver at that moment.

That's why she never disappoints in every performance, whether it be on a radio station, in big concerts, in a private and intimate event like weddings or corporate anniversaries, or even on her livestreams at home. I believe she sets high standards for herself, and does not settle for average or less. Hence, even when she is not at her 100% according to her, like in this GKNB WB performance, she is still better than most other singers/vocalists at their best. 🥰

Normal rules for vocal artist to ensure great singing doesn't apply to Morissette. She's out of this world.❤️
IMHO this isn't even her best version of this song. In her live band version standing up, she is belting even stronger and hits high notes she doesn't try for in this version. In my 76 years, the only singer I've heard whose ability could compare with her is Dimash. It's my dream to hear them in a duet or a concert together.

Stunning! Morissette is truly a music gem- of the rarest and most precious kind.
Charlie I'm a 72 yr.old man who is 75 % bedbound. I have been listening to Morissette for almost 6 years and I have watched her grow as a singer and a human being. This young lady is a miracle I am sitting here listening and at the same time I am crying because that's what Mori does to me when she sings. I am also laughing out loud at the audacity of Morissette to be able to sing like she does and then to sit in that way to do it. For me there is no better female vocalist on the face of the planet.
P.S. As a clarification, Morissette is the best but she is not my favorite. My favorite is young a Kazakh singer that won my heart in less than three notes one November night when my pain level was too great to sleep. The young lady was Daneliya Tuleshova then a 10 yr.old with a 25 yr.old voice. Today she is a 16 yr.old young woman who recently moved by herself to the U.S. to pursue her education and also to be available for opportunities to sing in the states. I am giving you two links, the first Daneliya's blind audition to The Voice Kids Ukraine 2017. She sang, 'Stone Cold' by Demi Lovato. The second is her recent appearance on AGT The All-Stars. She sang her rendition of 'Arcade' by Duncan Laurence.

To me, Mori is totally different from others talented singer. Reason is simple, Morissette have that kind of attraction magnate to make you to become addicted. I've been following her almost 11 yrs. She's is the most versatile artists with her super techniques singing skill such as, Squeak, Whistle, Growl, low note, high note belting and many..
Beside that's, Mori is improvise of each song to made it to become her own.

I was very hesitant when my brother introduced her since I've seen the great ones here. I like to see something I've never seen before. Then I heard her sing Rise Up. I stopped my conversation to listen to her while we were driving. Then, I heard Never Enough, and other WISH Bus epic performance. I stopped besides the freeway when I heard her Di Mapaliwanag. But its until I heard "Naririnig Mo Ba" ironically that this song really did it for me. Up until that time I never thought a singer is capable of blowing me away like that. There's no way any artist can sing it that way. Only this talent! Its insane!

Love you Charlie your initial reaction to Rise Up is one of my favorites. I am always about the Wishbus stuff with Mori . Those performances are almost exclusively the go to performances for her. With this song , however, the bus performance is not the DEFINITIVE one ! It’s fantastic but if you want your jaw to hit the actual FLOOR pull up Gusto Live Band Version in the same studio as the Bruno Medley you did. It’s SUPERNATURAL! As a Mori fan I was seriously concerned for her voice it’s such an absolutely brutal vocal ! The emotion and ungodly POWER , rasp , squeaks , is sensory overload for guys like us man. Even if you don’t react to it just check it out for your own posterity.
