    OMG, I can't believe this. I discovered (and subscribed) to this channel yesterday and immediately started hoping for a video like this and low and behold it gets posted the NEXT DAY! Looking forward to the Fresco vs ProCreate comparison video too as I use ProCreate.

    Oh wow I am sure I will enjoy this a lot. Thanks for sharing your insights! I have been working on procreate but I would like to switch because I love the idea to have all my professional work in the adobe cloud for better sync and further processing.

      It is far superior (IMO) than procreate! I love simple programs, which drew me to procreate. The reality is Fresco, though more capable, is equally as simple to get the hang of. Plus the added benefits of connecting to Adobe CC is unparalleled. I’m looking forward to doing more Fresco videos (that are not an hour long. Haha) 😂

    Well.... This makes me want to take the plunge and investigate Fresco. I watched another video a month back that discussed the differences of Procreate and Fresco and decided NOT to follow the 'shiny new thing' path of Fresco and stick with Procreate. But, your video is so informative and makes me want to to give Fresco a try. I already use Photoshop and Illustrator for tidying up my watercolor paintings, so it will be nice to have an app that has the same tools that I am used to. Thanks for the video!

      I too resisted the urge as I loved the simplicity of procreate, but fresco beats it in every possibly way (in my opinion). I’ll be publishing more videos on Fresco in the coming weeks. There is just so much goodness there, and they are releasing new features constantly!

    Is there a way to make a brush not taper? If I wanted a brush that is a consistent size all the time.

    • @GinnyStLawrence
      @GinnyStLawrence  Місяць тому +1

      You can play with “taper settings” in vector brushes, and you can play with “stylus pressure” and “control” for your pixel brushes to achieve no taper. Both adjustments can be found under the brush settings menu.
      For the hard round pixel brush for example, you can go into “Shape Dynamics” > “Control” (default set to “pen pressure”) and turn that setting to “None”. This will give you the same brush start to finish, regardless of how much pressure you apple to the screen.
      Be sure to save your brush settings once you’ve made adjustments to your liking so you can reuse it in the future. Hope this helps!

    Pls I want to ask am a graphic designer do you think fresco is a good replacement for illustrator

    • @GinnyStLawrence
      @GinnyStLawrence  2 місяці тому

      It depends on your workflow. If you don’t prefer illustrator, start in fresco and do all the heavy work there, then finish in illustrator. Fresco supports vector so bouncing between the two works seamlessly.

    Wait... Fresco is 10.00 a YEAR, but procreate is 10.00 for life! Then Procreate is cheaper.

    The delay only shows in vector brushes...from what I noticed...

    • @GinnyStLawrence
      @GinnyStLawrence  22 дні тому

      Check the smoothing settings on the brushes. If it’s turned all the way up, it appears there’s a delay. If the smoothing is down, it’s immediate. I’ve found its more so a feature, not a bug. Hope this helps!
