Depends on one's definition of "social media." I see your video ("media") on YT, which can be defined as "social" since it reaches society. Some might say this video is a form of self-promotion, which would negate your points.

As an artist, the iPad Mini might just be the perfect sketchbook that fits in your pocket! With the new features and portability, it’s like carrying a mini studio wherever you go. But... will it finally cure my never-ending search for the 'perfect' tablet?

For me I had a time when things were selling pretty well, I was on a roll and painting every day, and it was beautiful. Then the sales dried up, and I had to figure out how to keep painting even without sales. Because I forgot for a while that selling isn't the success point. Making art is.

I love the iPad mini too! I’m an artist, and chose the 11” iPad Pro over the 13” iPad Pro to replace my laptop. Mostly because The 13” iPad Pro is just too large to hold comfortably. I feel true tablets are meant to be held, and as my main device, the 11” iPad Pro is perfect. However, for when I really want to travel light, I always take my iPad mini as my digital sketchbook on the go. It’s so small it fits into my cargo pants pocket!

I will buy the best showroom on Manhattan. Should work.

Great advice. We have such short attention spans on social media. I can remember paintings I saw in cafes and bars 20 years ago. The lived experience stays with you. I can't remember what I was looking at on instagram last week.

I know this video is 2 years old, but wanted to throw my two cents worth in: Yeah, social media has become a complete waste of time for artists who don't have a huge following that they built many years ago to have that continued exposure ... and I will NEVER support places like Etsy that made a fortune off the backs of real artists and then began allowing imported, mass-produced crap on their website plus charging ridiculous fees ... so that leaves ideas like what you have suggested but the problem is, booth spaces are far more expensive now AND there are actually fewer places because many have gone out of business over the past few years. Selling in small shops was my first choice over any other options for selling - but unfortunately, most shops now typically charge 40% or more in consignment fees which is crazy and imo, no self-respecting artist will literally give a shop owner 40% of THEIR original design, uniqueness, time, work, heart and soul ... it's just a big no for me ... I know some people will say that 60% of something is better than 0% of nothing and that might be true for people who make tons of "crafty" stuff that can be done in 5 minutes for pennies on the dollar, but for real artists who create unique, offer one-of-a-kind art that can take a lot of time and comes from their heart & soul, NO.

Never even considered this until a few days ago when I got a mini into my hands by accident. What an absolutely lovely size. The first thing I did was try out the pencil with procreate, and I don't even consider myself an artist. It just felt right. Was looking for other opinions, and found this video. Thank you. Have been using a 12.9 for a few years now, and now need to sort my confusing urges for a mini 😅
