Anneke may not be the perfect house guest, but she is predictably perfect at being a cat, doing what cats do when cats do it - so perfect that you may have a challenge convincing her to do her business elsewhere. Good luck with that. Meanwhile, we just love you, Illia! Your younger self and your experienced self both, we just love you!
Don't forget, in Anneke's mind, she is the mistress of the house, and they are her beloved guests. She lived there first after all - not sure if she will approve of them commandeering her bathroom to be their kitchen!
(but once they have the new flooring in, that "scent" will be gone, and she will go somewhere else where she can dig...)
Ilia's dry delivery of the words "cat shit" made me audibly laugh. Been watching for a couple years and I am so impressed with you both. I love that you see a challenge and meet it head on. Much respect. Keep up the amazing work.
I'm "amazed" that Illia was able to put together that "maze" of pipes.😊
I noticed every time he talks about the cat, it shows up. 😊
Anneke is the Catspecter, and takes her job as site supervisor very seriously. 🐈⬛
I love how Marina cleaned up Illia word from "shit" to "droppings" in her editing...lol...I always look forward to your videos.
You’re still young Ilia & doing a fine job. Even Anneke thinks so. 👏👏😃
Anneke approves of her human's efforts to make her bathroom nice and clean for her.
Illia and Maria, Love watching your progress. The one thing I notice is that your children are not involved, at least not on camera. Some of my fondest memories are me working with my father. He taught me many skills and allowed me to make mistakes to learn. When I was grown and had my own house, I remodeled it. He visited and asked how I knew what to do. I simply said, from you. He then said, I did not think you were listening.😃 He is gone, but I always think, What would he do.
Their daughter was very prominent in helping with the roof built of their small apartment.
Their children are their #1 priority - their education, their development into healthy, well adjusted adults, their appreciation for all the good things life can offer, sharing family time doing fun things, making wonderful memories...
...Making them internet stars, exposed to every troll and seriously disturbed stalker type that lurk in the dark corners of yt - (just read comments on the channels you follow and you will understand) is the furthest thing from their thoughts - (no way would I want my children exposed to internet fame - would you?).
They seek as normal a life as possible for their children - who after all, have friends and family living in a war zone...
Interesting watching you go from one project to another so smoothly. You may have challenges at making the ideas you have work, but you get it done none the less.. Great job.
There is nothing so delicious that speaks of summer riches like a really well done pear cider. The best I ever tasted comes from the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia.
🇨🇦 🍻
Thanks for sharing even the not-so-pretty things, like Anneke's litter box. (You might want to prepare that she may carefully pee in every space, when the house is finished, to mark her territory.) Your cider-making equipment is very beautiful, and I am sure the cider is lovely. A good, old-fashioned way to preserve fruit in a good, old-fashioned property!
Cover floor in aluminium foil cats hate it... naughty boy, with all that land available... make up a box outside and put his feces in, and he will go there... great job doing and checking plumbing Illia, keep backsweetening the cider 😊
Good idea, as long as her "outdoor facilities" has a roof - our queen of the farm is accustomed to a warm, dry bathroom ...
(Anneke is a female)
In awe of your determination, work ethic and abilities/skills when challenges arise. Bravo and Brava, Illia and Marina. Also, take heed of residual kitty odors. We have had six cats ( one or two at a time ) over the past 29 years. Gooooood luck. My heart and thoughts are with you.❤❤❤❤
Just finished mowing the lawn and boy I could use some of that pear cider. 😂
It's so satisfying to see the plumbing going in. Makes it seem like you'll be able to move in soon!
Nice job Illia. Plumbing is a challenge but you got it done. Yes cat sh*t adds up. ha ha
Pear wine looks yummy. Enjoy. See you next week.
Best way to cut pipe … with a saw … Surprise! 😂🤣😂
Pear cider! Yummy! Cool project.
I love pear cider! Very well worth the trials to get it right! Nice work Drain Master! Progress!
Oh this would be a perfect time to get canning, drying, and preserving foods for the winter! Not sure if this is a thing in the school system or local community, but there's sometimes what we call a Bake Sale where people bring in baked goods to sell to locals so they can raise money for a school or organization. A pear tarte would be delightful! I hope the future batches of pear will be sweeter than the last!
Ouch! I have experienced digging dirt mixed with stones The bounce back from the shovel hitting the stones jars the body and quickly saps energy plus it’s incredibly slow progress. I admire that you persevered and got what you wanted dug.
I also admire your ability to catch on to speaking English as it is known to be difficult to learn.
I wonder what Anneke was thinking as she watched you dispose a whole handcart full of her droppings? 😂My mother had a problem with her flower bed in front of the house because the neighbour's cat was using it as a toilet and she simply scattered a good portion of pepper there. At night she heard the cat sneeze and the bed stayed clean, maybe that would be an option for the kitchen? 😂
Worth a try untill they have the new floor installed!
Another part of the puzzle done on the house lot's more to do
I would love to taste your pear cider! Sounds delicious!
Can’t wait for the next video
Nice progress as usual.
Very beautiful hanging construction . An alternative would be a piece of angle steel from the wall behind the pipes and and fixing them on top.
Your farmhouse looks quite large, but the proposed kitchen seems quite small. The trend in UK is for kitchens to be the heart of the home and usually incorporates a dining area for family and friends to socialise
Because its not the kitchen, its the laundry room.
Thank you 👍
You might consider removing a foot of the sand in the kitchen. The urine from the cat could leave a smell for years.
No doubt they will be installing a well sealed cement floor with a tile or wood top layer.
Well done, Ilya. Do you plan to install a trap primer on your area drain? If not properly maintained, floor drains indoors emit noxious odors and sewer gasses can negatively affect the health of the inhabitants.
Oh dearie me @@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm my dad used to make home made ginger beer and many an experience was had with bottles exploding from the gas build up in them. I think you may have overfilled your bottles as not enough room has been left for the gas build up. All I can advise at this point is to make sure you store the bottles in a cool spot inside an old building at least 30cm apart from each other so if one explodes it will not trigger the others. Not sure how long ago you bottled before uploading this video but if only a day or two it would be advantageous to remove liquid till at least 1/2 way down the neck of the bottle. good luck and fingers crossed. That naughty puddie turning that area into a giant cat litter tray, I hate to think of the urine stench that was left behind.
Don't forget to install floor drains and back flow preventers. They will protect you from drain back-ups. ☝😉👍
You might provide anneke with a big sandbox for kids/cats outside on a dry place. Our cat never got used to a litter box but he always called if he wanted to go to HIS sandbox. He was a former barncat similar to anneke
None of us can claim not to be stupid. Just planning lessons.
The same happened with my last batch of mead. 1st fermentation was too long, and it was way too dry😢.
Ahaw ahaw ahaw ahaw… ZZTop LaGrange. 🍀
Is there anything you can't do, Ilija? 🙂
The dark side of Anneka 😂😂
As queen of the farm, she felt entitled to a nice bathroom, sheltered from the weather, where she could go about her business in privacy and comfort. 😉🐈⬛🐱
Mrs De Hoeve, do you think you could get Illia to stop thinking about you and get on with the job. Every second word out of his mouth is 'perfect.' Okay, we get it, you're a lucky bloke, but there is still work to be done!
?!? What an unbelievably rude and thoughtless comment, what is wrong with you today?
Is it safe to put sugar in those bottles of Perry! I hope they don't explode! It could make it carry on fermenting!
I don't can the work is too hard. But my Gmail made the best apple butter and jam. Could u do that with pears. Makes my mouth water thinking about home grown foods😊
Did spell check just turn your grandmother into Gmail?!? gotta love it...
Wonderful memories to have, I love apple butter to this day, for the same reason - warm memories of happy times.
Hi guys, I hate to criticize but I think your kitchen and some of your rooms will be too small for you. May I suggest to take out one of the side walls partially. opening the kitchen to the Lounge room, maybe like a breakfast counter. So the person in the kitchen is still with the family. Plus those small kitchens need fresh air and 2 entrances in case of a fire. Just think about it please.
I really can't understand that a such big house is getting so small kitchen!!! I know that it's not my business, but anyway if I would doing this renovation I would take advantage of enlarging it.
Its not the kitchen
It will be the utility room
Hearing dryer and washingmaschine... so its not the kitchen, its the utility and laundry room. Waschküche in german
Mmmmmmmm? I have never seen plumbing done like this. What is the drop toward the sewer or septic tank. Where I live the code for drain pipe drop in one inch for every four feet.
Illia, Have you checked with the local code, to see if there is a distance requirement when crossing a wastewater pipe over drinking water lines? This prvents contamination if pipe breaks. Otherise, work is progressing well!
The drain lines seem to be very large for a utility room and kitchen. I would expect to use 60mm or 80mm diameter pipe.
Well... anneke lived here before you. She might even be willing to use a litterbox or do it outside. But only if all the sand inside is gone and you provide a litterbox in the would be kitchen. She is basicalky a stray cat who lived in that house, even if her "owner" is your neighbor. She accepts you but she is no petcat.
Do not forget the air vent pipe required for the drainage pipes or your drains will not work. Have not seen where you have installed the air vent....
Илья, привет! Надо было оставить кирпичи под трубами, зачем тебе сложности с подвесами?!!
❤😊
I don't know your further plannings for the kitchen, but it seems for me you don't want to make any insulation there because the pipe is so long, it seems to be under the wall afterwards.
If your pears are too dry add watermelon 🥴🍻
Making progress slowly but surely! Dumb question : Aren't you supposed to glue the pipe ends and fittings together?
I pay for an experienced plumber and electrician every time. The possible insurance ramifications alone are worth it.
🤗
9:21, looking like the mobster boss who expected more money...
😎
👍
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏
Is that big pijp ontbloot big for the kitchen, i have 50 mm for my snik and dishwasher going to the 110 mm
😺😀
Невже ота стеля з керамічних блоків така міціна, що можна на неї щось підвісити?😳
I did not see where you glued the plumbing joints together. Maybe I just missed it?
I think that a new way of doing this is with gaskets, hence the need for a lubricant to get the sections together. Perhaps I'm wrong. I see this being done in other DIY efforts.
I rewatched a bit of the video. If you look at the female ends of the pipes, you will see a black ring just on the inside of the lip of the opening. I think that that is the gaskets that are part of the pipe, so likely no need for a chemical bonding or glue.
В Европе не клеют сантехнические трубы,их вставляют друг в друга, там специальные резиновые прокладки!
First!
Your drainage concerns me. Drains need to be laid at propper falls so they are self cleaning. You need access to allow blockages to be cleared with manholes of clearing eyes. You will also need vent pipes to to stop traps on the fittings pulling . Its all f technical stuf which I think you need to research
😂
Idk if I missed it, but did you glue all the pipe joints?
Are you going to put in vent pipes for the system?
The drain pipes should also drop one inch every four feet in a run. Shit will stand still in a level pipe and will never flow uphill!
First time i heard profanity on tbis channel
Not profanity, a perfectly good anglo-saxon word referring to a natural product of the digestive tract. 😉😉😉
Hindsight is such a wonderful thing. Not.
Cat shit smells the worst!
What language do you speak with your children? It just hit me that you have choices.
1 Corinthians 15:22-24
King James Version
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. Gods blessings over you .
How does the saying go?: Measure once, shame on me, measure twice, shame on the measuring tape. Perhaps that is two sayings.
