Love your work guys...I hang out for the new video for days...learnt so much.
In the 3D model or design model you have the shower to the rightside and the bathtub in the left side. You build the shower vice versa? Or it’s just me seing something wrong?
I have noticed John O missing in the videos. Hopping all is ok.
God bless you all.
@@butarsebastian2765 They mirrored some things. For instance in the original plan the garage is on the other side of the lot.
That window in the shower would ensure my mother in law would NEVER use our bathroom. Sounds like a win to me!
Hahaha
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jamie’s expressive “Context” of a subject is like a builder’s blueprint for his explanations-it's the foundation and layers of detailed information, facts, and steps needed to build a solid, well-structured answer, just like laminating and layering materials for strength. He’s always building a well researched solution and teaching his knowledge to us…… or I’m I just going on now.
I always thought Jamie’s spin off channel would be called Let Jamie Talk. But Total Sheep Show is way better ❤😂
RAY...You can thank me later... funniest line ever😂😂😂
By far the best building UA-cam channel.
ROTFLOL - all you boys and your Sheep Show comments and demonstrations.
Ray-ray- you were on a roll today. Thanks for all the extra laughs.
Y’all are the best!
Ahh - thanks for the love PBB! Great seeing you both yesterday. Thanks for coming out to do the interview with @EnvisionOutdoorLivingProducts while they were shooting photos of my amazing deck. So appreciate you and Envision for my beautiful deck!
I don't know what's more complicated, what you are doing or rocket science. Great show. Thanks. Friday's off. Very cool.
Yes... I'd love those windows in the bathroom... but I know that sort of thing doesn't appeal to everyone, so I'd get those windows... those special windows that become opaque at the press of a button. I've seen them on RVs... and upscale houses... and THIS is definitely an upscale house. So... for whatever that is worth.
Thank you Ray!
Always the Pragmatist; Ray is the real heart of the operation.
Incorporating the disruptions is brilliant.
Ikr it had me laughing out loud 😂
This builders creates awesome homes. I like watching all of them. Those walls are one of a kind I have ever seen. I live in lower Alabama, close to Gulf Shore Alabama. My late husband was a home builder.
I’ve got addicted to your build! I was only thinking I hadn’t seen a show for almost a day!!!! Doing a great job. Loads of thinking in this one! 😊
i mean, i really appreciate the amazing work you guys put into the build + into the editing. Its quite amazing! hats down.
Totally agree!
But I think it’s, hands down
…or hats off
😉
imo you have 2 options for putting those windows in:
1, scissor lift with leveling jacks, something like the JLG RT3394
2, a telehandler with a work platform, preferably with work platform controls and if you don't have straight on access pivoting forks.
the first will probably be much easier to locate and cheaper to rent. the platform railing system is easy to remove sections for extra large windows.
Apparently the stare at the judge is to prove that you have complete control over the animal with minimal attention (hope that this makes sense). Love this build!🇺🇸🙏
Eric glad to see your hooked on the Marie Sharp Hot Sauce ! Glad I sent those bottles your way. Tim
I have a feeling the architect owed money to Brock and compensated with: hey, I'll draw you the plans for your house, and we are even. And that's what you get.
This project is residential even in NC which does not require an Architect.
The plan set of drawings is from an online website, probably submitted by a “residential designer”, definitely not an architect.
Your videos are so much fun! Not just the antics, but the hoops you are going through tho build this amazing house.
Tip of the day!!!! When laying out door opes, cut the underside of the plate halfways
Going across the grain with the plane IS a real technique! Old hand tool woodworkers, to plane a board down to thickness, would use a scrub plane (usually with a cambered blade) across the grain to get close, and then run a longer plane with a flat blade with the grain to smooth it out.
I love that Jason is complaining about his "broken" finger and Jamie just holds up his hand!
Time for an inspection by Arlo!
Jamie! Do a sketchup tutorial please!!! Ideas for videos "Quick draw for faster real world layouts", "complete house draw", "truss layout" and so on!
I haven't watched all your builds, but I'm guessing this is the most complex one. So many unique angles and such.
love you guys!
Thank you Ray
Thursday is my favorite work day! I love spending lunch hour following what you guys are doing!
Glad Jason finally has a heartbeat
😂
Lovin' this mega project.
Ray was a lot of fun in this one 😄
I enjoy your attention to detail is amazing. More builders could learn from your group!
Jay! If you can feel your pulse throbbing in a bandaged finger (or foot, or your head, whatev), it means the bandage is too tight! And if it wasn’t too tight for several hours, but now just keeps getting tighter and tighter, then you’ve got active swelling, and you’ll need to deal with that before whatever it is will start healing. And don’t pour peroxide on wounds! It just screws up your skin, any cleaning it might do isn’t worth the damage your skin will have to repair. And it doesn’t do anything at all for a bee sting, either.
Jason could moisten some tobacco and place it over his bee sting while holding it in place. I learned that from my childhood neighbors when I was a kid and it it worked on a wasp sting a few years ago.
That’s because tobacco is a vasoconstrictor, which means all the capillaries, blood vessels, all the tissue in there will shrink. So the swelling will go down. However, you have to be careful with that kind of thing, because sometimes wounds *need* to be able to bleed, or let venom out, etc. I would definitely not recommend it for anyone allergic to stinging/biting insects, because the last thing they’d need is more venom trapped in their bloodstream. Vasoconstrictors can also delay healing, as the body isn’t able to get healing factors to a wound quick enough, though for most people the worst effects of a sting only last a few hours anyway, so that’s trivial. So, upshot, yes it’ll work, but it’s not for everybody, and if Jay’s at all allergic, he’s one of those people.
(But I know you’re just trying to be helpful, I’m not having a go at you, I just want to give you more info so you can be even more helpful in the future ❤)
I absolutely love this channel ! Learning and laughter, my 2 favorite things
Love the new editing with music at the 4 minutes mark.
Same!
I'm putting a window in a shower by necessity (only place to put shower is on an exterior wall) but I don't like large windows. I live in an area that gets hurricanes and gets a ton of sunlight. I don't like all that heat coming in and don't like having to worry about windows breaking. Don't care about privacy because no one would see in-- just the cats, dogs, and cows.
Jason's finger needs to get some disinfectant and antibiotics on it before it gets worse. I had a finger that got infected under the nail once. It was swollen and throbbing. There was green stuff building up under the nail. I eventually had to pop it with a needle to get the pus out. At least he was mindful to not want to offend Jaime by complaining about his finger hurting.
Jaime trying to talk but saw sounds taking too long and then a phone rang. LOL!
Hey guys, truss & floor designer over in Europe here, love seeing how you guys do things over the pond. Am super curious why you build walls on site and don't have them manufactured off site? Seems to be wayyyy slower than how we do things over here, all those panels would be delivered and craned into place in a couple of days.
Thanks and keep up the awesome work :)
If you guys keep getting bigger projects like this, I feel like you guys could benefit from a small mobile crane👌
Outstanding.
Fire wall also slows down smoke
Ray. “Thank me later”. That was funny
Jaime's silent flight attendant gestures are cracking me up
Love the humor of the vids...
As someone who DOES actually have a huge window in all the showers -- its absolutely horrible. No matter how secluded you think you are, eventually you'll realize there's some popular look-out spot across the valley, hikers using binoculars, or just the random lost tourist driving up the mountain and ending up in your back yard.
Huge mistake.
At least get the windows frosted.
Sooooo good. Simple, that's it, that's all.
This project is wild, and you guys are straight killing it! Keeps me coming back for more 💪
Math by Jason..."so many square footage"✅️
Jamie has concepts of a plan!
thats all you need! He is the BEST!
nice to have a bit more Ray again, after his mysterious "silent" period
That is one mother of a house guys, another great video with ya all doing a great job especially with Jay with a broken leg 😂
The sheep....lololol!! Ray is hysterical...
Let Jones talk, he was hilarious today
She’s coming together boys. Math is hard!
Are they doing this based on plans, where it says what type of boards to use? I would love to understand how construction plans, actual building it work together and when modifications are done in the field.
Jamie showing his hand in the background while Jason is explaining his one finger minor issue is hilarious.
Nice for the video!
Would have no problem with the window and the large shower-game on loved it
Section 718.3 of the IBC baby. Had to do this when designing commercial wood structures, Construction Type VB.
Bosses, get a few boxes of SPLINTER-OUT. They work great and beats a trip to the ER. Safe and sanitary. As for the sheep thing, the magic phrase is Duh ram ewe
It Is Thursday & PBB time for another video!! Thanks guys!! KUTGW
good day guys! watching from the philippines!
With all the twisted lumber forced straight in this house, I'm imagining it flying into pieces one day like an uncoiled spring. 😂
Measure and cut all your lumber for the tall walls before you tip them up, put in place so you know it fits. don't nail the lumber you want to leave out for weight. This would be faster than standing on a ladder trying to get a measurement.
Milwaukee has an awesome blower, I think they should send you one
I have that same hot sauce!! I love it!
So many!
Every day I wake up and thank god for the Perkins brothers
Where is your safety rail around the stairwell opening
Tell Jason to get some Prid for his splinter!!
"Maximum destruction".
Is there any other option?? :D
Loving this!
//Sweden!
I thought you guys were going to change the way you marked your measurements on the boards. I saw Ray using the same method.
I am starting to suspect that whoever "architected" this house didn't do much engineering😂 I am struggling to see how this sail of a roof isn't going to either rip off or pancake these 20' walls...
"RIP AND CHIP for maximum destruction"...Sounds like a new tee shirt design.
at 19;19 its louder to you than us. we can hear just fine
After watching you guys tweak and adjust and redo the blueprint for this house I’m beginning to wonder if they are worth the paper they’re written on.
Hey guys love your videos! But each one is getting shorter and shorter. My wife and I watch your videos and love them. The longer the video the better we both think.
This is gonna be a amazing 🏡. You guys are my number one channel to watch.and Jay's channel.where is Jono.haven't seen him in your last couple of videos.hope he's ok.
Maybe you should keep a thickness planer on site.
Curious, where's John O been?
In one of the previous episodes they mentioned he went on vacation
Jaime is intelligence, Ray is wisdom
good work guys . Jamie always has he work cut out with designers over the plans . I know that feeling
Windows get dirty and need constant cleaning. Hope we have it in the budget for window cleaning.
Back in my bachelor days I bent a bumper too, the next evening while lightly intoxicated I purposely backed into a tree next to my driveway and VIOLA all back just like it was new. Just a helpful hint 6 tequila shots required beforehand.
i would love it, full floor to ceiling windows all around the shower
Not if it gets cold where you live. Or if they face south or west cuz all the heat buildup will be nasty. Plus depending on your water, it will get all streaked and/ or etched. Been there done that.
@@1packatak true... OK, no windows, just open and infrared heat
Great work, could you please at some time explain what LBL stands for?
In the picture of the bathroom the shower was to the right of the tub but you framed floor recess to accommodate the shower to the left of the tub...
You can tell Jason to try soaking finger in warm water & epsom salt for 10 minutes it might help.
U guys do awesome work for sure. My dad was a framer in Greensboro NC when I was a little boy and I went to spend the summer with him one year cause I lived in KY and I remember him and the crew building a giant house to me cause I was a boy and they were walking up on the joists of the second floor with there tool belts and cut off Levi's but I thought they were the coolest doing that stuff and idk why I didn't get into carpentry cause both my granddaughters were carpenters too and my great grandfather used to build houses here in BG KY and all of them are still standing today but I got into cars and the automotive industry when I got out of high school but carpentry still is fascinating to me especially with all the modern technology it's far different than when I was a boy 40 years ago I'm sure but still fascinating to me
With door plate cuttout I precut 1/2” on plate easier to finish cut with sawsall
A string don't lie on something being straight no hump or someone with a extra good eye ! My self I pull a string lol
Look up Karis from Dadson Farms to see some incredible sheep showing form.
No window in my tub or in my shower!😂
Would you please put a temporary rail around that stair well?
That 4-0 bedroom door will suck. I've seen it on a couple homes I built, The architect tries to shove a french door in even though theirs not enough room. minimum should be 5-0. 90% of the time folks only use one side, and the other side stays fixed. so now they will be using a 2-0 door for their master bedroom. And pro tip if the door has an astragal the RO is 51"
Hey guys
Ray, if you want to be a baller, you’ll have to be okay opening a 48” door you your bedroom 😂
Ray’s from Arkansas. He should be intimately familiar with sheep and goats.
A Frank Lloyd Wright Wright design 👌🏿.
