thank you very much, just got into affinity designer after having used adobe for roughly 4 years, i need to get used to working with certain tools again and finding out where i can find other features. this helped me very much!
Neat. Do you know if there's a way to move an object by its pivot point? i.e. grab its pivot and move it such that the pivot is what snaps to stuff. The goal is to be able to mirror an object across the document.
Twenty years ago I taught IT and English in Thailand. I regret teaching instruction with the Adobe suite of apps (the same way I had learned in university). I had a few friends back in the day who were advocating open source alternatives -- but I was slow to catch on. When Adobe went full Indian on their business practices and started (and lead) the whole subscription model -- you can only imagine that regret coming back at me full fold. Fast forward to today -- guess which apps I'm NOT using?? Awesome to see you teaching your students with the right stuff!

What if creating watch faces by using this method? Is it possible to make a tutorial for this need? Thank you and greetings from Italy!
if you want to recenter the modified transform origin just double click on the pivot dot icon instead of dragging.
Nice little trick, thanks!
