Although I've been enjoying your videos for a while, I just found this one, and watching it scared the poop out of me! Also, the part where you bleep yourself with a squeeky toy sound made my dog jump out of bed and run over to me. He thought I was playing with his toys!!!
What a morning for you - took me back 30 years when I had a Suzuki 125cc trials bike and ventured out on the snow. Absolute hoot! Looks like your average speed was higher in the second half of the vid. Well done. Very enjoyable to watch. Kind regards, Jon.
+JLO Staff Thanks Jon - it was no coincidence that it was the second half of the ride where I nearly came off on 3 or 4 occasions!! As you say, low speed but good fun....
Great little machine, I want one! Thanks for the "show(snow) and tell". Car drivers don't realize what can be seen over the hedgerows, of course unless in a 4X4 so a great vantage point sat on top of a Bike. I was watching the vehicle in your mirrors, got close then as they could see your back end was out of sorts they backed off, only for a short time though and they were back close by. Anyway great to see you out in the snow, see folks, don't have to play snowballs with the kids and other-half on sundays in winter! I did go out in the snow/ice on mine, tricky on road tyres but if needs must but didn't take a ride up into the hills sadly. Keep her shiny side up!
+Paul Southern Thanks for stopping by Paul, this was quite early on Sunday, what makes you think I wasn't doing my domestic duty for the rest of the day!!! Cheers - TMF
Good footage there! I do love the snow, especially because I was a kid growing up in the mountains back in the 80s, in upstate NY. We'd get 3-4 feet easily, with 5-6 foot drifts. Fun, fun, fun! :D I live south of NY today, in Virginia (U.S.). We only got about 1 1/2 feet of snow a couple of months ago. No motorbike of my own yet. I rode my mountain bike in the snow. Good fun! :) I plan on buying a Honda CRF250L, and also plan on getting D606 tires for a bit more traction off-road! Though that ice is slippery no matter how knobby the tires are, unless you have little metal spikes (studs) on 'em, if that's even legal in your area. In Virginia, they allow studded tires from October 15th to April 15th.
I have just revisited this gem of a video as I’ve just spent an afternoon on my Honda Grom on snow and ice covered country lanes, the most fun and nerve shattering experience yet on my little bike. With road tyres on it made for some interesting moments when the bike was 180 degree spinning around to try going back down the road don’t think I saw second gear or more than 15mph!!
I've watched a few of your videos now, thank you very much for taking the time to put them together, I particularly like your versatile collection of bikes :) I ride a Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport so a fellow Triumph fan
TheMissendenFlyer I've had her for a year this week, I've actually done 8k this year alone that's all pleasure riding, but does include 2k miles around Europe to Austria. It's my first triumph, I was a Honda fan and had a Hotnet 600 for 11 years before Tigs the Tiger.
TheMissendenFlyer oh yes! I've just swapped the Arrow exhaust for an SC project Titanium so I can remove the baffle, the inner child in me needed more noise!
I had forgotten I'd watched this video! Glad to see a fellow rider going out on their bike after October, it can be a lonely place in the winter months if you live away from a city!
hi TMF it's good watching somebody out in the snow enjoying themselves. I don't ride on snow or ice since dislocating a shoulder some years ago doing exactly what you were doing today, great fun. Back in the early 60s I did ride a BSA 250T trail bike, I have ridden modern trail bikes but I find them to high for good handling on snow covered roads. The engines also rev to quickly and easily lose traction.Anyway you seemed to be enjoying it, nice vid take care .
Thanks John, as someone who has a recurring dislocating shoulder (frisby accident in my student days) I can understand why you don't want to repeat the experience! I'm glad my little adventure helped fill a bit of a gap for you :0) thanks for watching and commenting - all the best - TMF
A beautiful ride and I'm so glad you managed to keep the bike upright! We had a dusting this morning here in North Carolina but nothing like what you had. Enjoyed the video very much!
+TheMissendenFlyer Some years we get more snow than others. The Appalachian Mountains run through the western part of the state and they actually see quite a bit of snow. They also afford some great riding! Cheers!
+TheMissendenFlyer I'm in Kingston, Washington. Near Seattle. Thanks in part to your videos, I bought my CRF250L in August to make my commute shorter and more enjoyable and to have some fun exploring the wilderness on the weekends. It's been the best money I've spent for myself in a long time!
+TheMissendenFlyer I've been adding to it as budget allows. Since I ride it to work every day, rain or shine, mostly it's been spent on riding gear to make sure I get to work warm, dry, and in one piece. I just ordered an FMF exhaust yesterday though, and installed a new bash plate last night. It's coming along :)
Ha. Love your English understatement, especially with such good mature riding. And thanks for squeaking out the loose words. My 10 year old was watching with me. Wish more folks would do that on UA-cam so it was safer for the kids to see perfectly cool videos like this!
Thanks Ryan, I pride myself on a family friendly sound track! ;0) ....one of my pet hates is the excessive swearing you see so much of on some motorcycle VLOG channels...
Hi Vince, indeed, I had a couple of interesting moments out there this morning! All part of gaining experience in the bike though, I'm convinced things like this or say a track day help to make you a better overall road rider.....
Bloody hell you're brave I used to ride in the snow and ice all the time with only having a bike license but many mental plates later I'm in a car in winter.. massive respect to you though it looks fun I'm just to soft to ride now in the wet.
Took my VFR out today also.. so much ice around and snow still I filled up and came home so only a 15 mile ride.. far to cold for me now, I used to have to test ride bikes 5 miles after I repaired them also but I'm not working at the moment.. although I need to get back into a dealership as money is tight lol.
Thanks for braving the weather. We certainly live a beautiful country ! when I take my test in the next few moths at the ripe old age of 45, I intend to ride all weather's ( with the right bike of course ) .
+TheMissendenFlyer . I grew up riding motorbikes , the 50cc yamaha DT , then Suzuki GS 125 s (a great bike ) then Suzuki 250cc motocross. then I was time to start a family ! but now they are grown up into fine young men I have more time to myself and I ache to get back riding .
We thankfully miss a lot of snow in this part of England (N/W coast) which I'm glad as I don't think my bike would handle it as well as the CRF! Nice vid, the scenery looks stunning.
Hi Flibblejib - yes, definitely not recommended on your day to day road bike, the thought of attempting today's ride on my Street Triple or Panigale for example wouldn't enter my head! Thanks for watching and commenting - TMG
Great video. I just spent the weekend snowmobiling -30 C lots of snow on Lake Manitoba. Three more months until I can get out riding. John from across the pond.
Hi TMF thanks for video. Changing tyres on my CRF transformed it - Maxxis IT's vs the stock tyres on slippy stuff are just so different - not sure if they would have been any different in the white stuff. Nice save during the video :-)
Hi TMF - Should have dropped in for a cuppa, you were very close to my house today. I was thinking of taking my CRF out in the snow as well but had to many thingstodo etc. Besides think of the SALT!! munching away at those mags etc. I may go out next weekend and wade through the BOAT near Cadsden - Kimble. Cheers MikeTheBIke
+Michael Addison Next time Mikethebike! ...the good thing about riding in snow is that the bike gets a decent rinse down :0) Yes that BOAT is great, but I think I'll wait for the dryer weather to give it another go - cheers - TMF
Very interesting and entertaining ride you had there and great riding skills too in the road conditions ! Looking to get one of these bikes to use around the lanes near our holiday home as seems like great fun .The R1200Rt we have i wouldnt even attempt to use on some of the narrow lanes etc around the area .Very interesting other vids you have posted about the improvements and modifications you have done to your CRF 250L ,so very tempted to get one
I think anything heavier than 300-400lbs is going to get scary on surfaces with poor traction. When I was riding in mud it does wonders for your confidence knowing you can catch the bike if you can get a foot down.
Back in 86,1986 that is had some real heavy snow and i had a motocross yamie 250 no cars could go out so i took the yamie to work full nobblies i was king of the road for a couple of days
In my younger days!! Long ago We used to play on the ice on motox bikes big drifts sideways the lot First rule dont touch the front brake Second rule use deeper snow as a berm Third rule wear good boots as you will end up both feet down trying to save one turn one or get off of a bad one !!!! Bringing back memories now lol Also saw you try riding the centre of the lane usually the highest point which can lead to crossover by that I mean back wheel slides down into rut on your left making front wheel slide into the right rut hence crossover (demonstration at 8.20 in your video !!! Lol ) Forget that centre line Ride in the tracks/ruts left by other vehicles Once you get used to the self steering effect that produces you will feel more confident and progress quicker
Great! That's exactly the reason why the CRF250L got my attention. Affordable, capable and light. I'm just not sure where to put a third bike in my garage. lol.
+TheMissendenFlyer You are so right! Lawnmower is replaced by CRF250L. :) The CRF is great fun in deep snow. The area behind the house is already thoroughly plowed through.
Good for you, my man. I absolutely love my dual sport, I truly think it's made me a better street rider, but I've still not taken her out in Snow. I will definitely do some this season though.
TheMissendenFlyer i Just found a Yamaha DT80mx thats 450€ and Not to far away, i can Ride it with my A1 license. it has some mechanical issues and needs some parts so i could get it Road legal. Also there are No papers for it... What do you think?
I think all that riding experience makes you a better road rider too. Awesome ride. You will be power sliding that Ducati next. I spent many years motocrossing - hang loose and let the bike do the work.
Great ride 😁. Nice to have a bike with nobbies and have some extra fun . I hope you kept yourself and the bike vertical off- camera also. Keep us posted 👍
I nipped out on a 10 mile round trip on Saturday morning and wished I'd had heated grips. I really should invest in some, especially as I live in the middle of the mountains in Snowdonia! Edit: What's with taking photos in portrait mode? Tsk! ;-)
Well it must be down to your excellent riding skills, it certainly made for an impressive video. PS: I'm a little late for my response but have only just seen this posting when it popped up after watching your latest posting (Ducati 1st year review).
Good to see you enjoying the weather! If you are going to do much more of that this winter, given your assessment of the oem rubber, a tyre upgrade might be a useful early purchase. Mind you, like oil, views as to the "right" tyres seem to differ. Any thoughts as to that yet?
Thanks for the memories....I grew up on martinsend lane and have fond memories of Prestwood, Missenden etc. and now live in the USA, Where where you riding? I have not been back for several years...was it the Lee or Little Missenden area?
+dyno4mance It was what I call "The Pednor Loop" near the Lee area (back end of Chesham)....where in the US did you settle and should I move there??? ....I love the UK but I don't love the weather!!!!
No, I'll check it out - something tells me it is going to be a bit more challenging than my ride near Chesham this morning! .....at least we have a Honda in common!
Just beautiful. Where was this? I assume you're a Brit by the accent. I'm in Ipswich, Suffolk, and we haven't had that much snow here in quite a few years.
Looks bloody beautiful mate! We never get that strange white stuff here in Australia. Now, you've mentioned you like to keep your bikes nice and clean... what sort of stuff do you do when you get home from a muddy ride or a ride like this to prevent rust/corrosion?
+WeNeedASaga ...in this case (as it's so cold) it's just a rinse with fresh clean water and put back into my nice warm garage - the bike is protected with ACF50 to keep corrosion at bay and so far so good, all the fasteners are still nice and shiny :0) When it warms up a bit later this week I will give her a proper wash down and dry just to make sure and then a top up of the ACF 50. It was great fun riding in this stuff but give me your weather any day!! Thanks for watching and stopping by, great to have people watching from all the way down there ...all the best - TMF
+BobC777 Thanks Bob - Had I had a mic down my pants you would have heard a similar noise!!! ....that was my profanity eliminator in action... Cheers - TMF
What do you think of adding studs? Where I live winter lasts from October until late April/mid May and I make it until November before moping around about the weather!
I have ridden in snow on a duel before. it is crazy fun! I found out if u make ur own path you will have better traction. did you find this to be true as well? you have a very nice place to ride. be safe out there!!
+allen Henry Hi Allen, not sure I understand what you mean by "make your own path"?? ...it was flippin' tricky to ride on the snow I know that much!! Thanks for stopping by - TMF
My first winter with motorcycle comming up, I want to keep riding on some gravel roads near me, just like 2 miles of slow asphalt to get there there and back home together. What about rust, did you have any problems with it? Wouldnt like my brand new CRF to be all rusty in its first year.
Mine is still as good as new with no signs of rust at all - all thanks (I reckon) to ACF50 - checkout my video here >> ua-cam.com/video/6viSTMBnL_M/v-deo.html if you've not come across it....
Thanks for the great videos! just bought a 2017 CRF250L about 6 months ago and i'm saving up to do the essential upgrades. Just curious as to what camera and microphone you use in your videos. There's very minimal outside noise and the vocal clarity is impressive.
+Vermont Dualsport Thanks - It looks hideously slow but it was hard work out there!! The heated grips are the R&G ones, I had some put on a previous bike and they were very reliable....I'm told they're straightforward to fit (I have to admit I had a professional do it!!)....Good to hear from you again...it's been a while!
I don't know about the CRF, but they are all aluminum cases. I know they make them for other bikes, like the 1200GS. I can't remember what other bikes you have.
Well we don't really have a "snowy season" as such, we just get the odd sporadic dump through winter that may last a couple of days max, so it's not really worth the hassle....thanks for watching - TMF
+TheMissendenFlyer Lol, one should take care of his words. No seriously - Wales gave me my first lesson in playing whist, it caught me in action when I said "sheeps", it aquaintet me with lovely Fay S. and besides has georgeous oak trees. Did I mention the "sheeps"?
+SharpeFOCUS Photography Only if you leave them switched on when the bike isn't running - make sure you wire them into a switched live that only supplied power when the ignition is on and there's absolutely no issue.....(in fact you can even get "intelligent" grips from people like Oxford nowadays that turn themselves off if the ignition isn't on)....
+TheMissendenFlyer , I 've had the heated grips from Oxford on my V-strom 650 and they worked great. They shut off als the electronics detect the alternator isn't charging the battery. Realy completely safe to use. Good value for the money, they work fine.
+Pete Franks Exciting weekend ahead then - hope the weather plays ball for you (and I'll make a note of those Michelin AC10's and commence my research...). Cheers - TMF
The CRF looks a bobbydazzler in the snow! Looked a hoot-I should have done the same this morning!
+The Crumble You missed a trick there mate - you do have to get up early on a Sunday though and it does mean you have to miss church ;0P
+The Crumble Still waiting for new vids from The Crumble! Where's your bobbydazzler at ;)
Absolutely stunning . Geez I miss the UK. Grew up in Flackwell Heath. Great vid thanks 👍
+Peter King Glad you liked it Peter - all the best - TMF
Welcome to the club Richard!
Green-laning in deep snow, and mountain tracks can be great fun. I used to keep the tyres at about 10 psi. Never let the weather keep you in! :)
+ACE 999 Agreed 100%! Thanks for watching and for stopping by once again - TMF
I've watched a few of your videos now, thank you very much for taking the time to put them together, I particularly like your versatile collection of bikes :) I ride a Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport so a fellow Triumph fan
Good man - I miss my old Tiger 1050, a great sounding machine and a brilliant tourer....
Well I hope you're a convert now?
TheMissendenFlyer oh yes! I've just swapped the Arrow exhaust for an SC project Titanium so I can remove the baffle, the inner child in me needed more noise!
I had forgotten I'd watched this video! Glad to see a fellow rider going out on their bike after October, it can be a lonely place in the winter months if you live away from a city!
I insist on riding all year round!
Ditto!
Some great tips on this vid. I think it's my first time watching someone ride in the snow. The snow looks awesome!
+CLUTCH1ST Thanks!
+TheMissendenFlyer lol you're welcome.
hi TMF it's good watching somebody out in the snow enjoying themselves. I don't ride on snow or ice since dislocating a shoulder some years ago doing exactly what you were doing today, great fun. perfect bike for that stuff, might want to try dropping tire pressure some pounds for more traction
Yes good idea, thanks for the reminder Jim....
even a 125 would likely be enough for snow.
A beautiful ride and I'm so glad you managed to keep the bike upright! We had a dusting this morning here in North Carolina but nothing like what you had. Enjoyed the video very much!
+Greg got away Thanks Greg, I didn't realise you did snow in the Carolinas!?
+TheMissendenFlyer Some years we get more snow than others. The Appalachian Mountains run through the western part of the state and they actually see quite a bit of snow. They also afford some great riding! Cheers!
+Greg got away maybe one day I'll get to ride there, I did some flying in South Carolina many years ago, had a fabulous time there.....
Love the scenery! Looks like you were having some good fun! As a newer rider, I always learn so much from your videos. Thank you!
Very kind of you to say so - glad to be of service :0) where are you watching from?

I'am lucky today no snow Essex / Suffolk boarders, you to see you having some fun, I see you nearly became another type of Flyer though!

I still think your a brave man taking the trusty Honda out on a day like that, beautiful scenery as it was I could see there was the odd OMG moment,
+Black Hawk...there sure was!
She s a cheeky lil girl, perfect for a snowy ride around!
agreed
Very interesting and entertaining ride you had there and great riding skills too in the road conditions ! Good for you, my man. I absolutely love my dual sport, I truly think it's made me a better street rider, but I've still not taken her out in Snow. I will definitely do some this season though.
+Sullybiker Be careful! It's slippery on that stuff!!!
Man, that is a pretty day, fun stuff right there, thanks for sharing with us.
+Heartland Dual Sport You're very welcome, I'm glad you found it of interest...all the best - TMF
You did well to keep it upright and I didn't realise sooty and sweep were riding pillion lol.
Thanks for that - you wouldn't believe the language the corbett pair were using.... ;0)
Looks like you had fun. Glad you stayed rubber side down
Me too - only just!
Great to have a bike like that but snow n ice are so unpredictable. Particularly if the temperatures are very low or heating up fast. Brave! ❄️☃🌨😃
Yes, very tricky in these conditions - hence why I never exceeded 30mph! Great fun little bike for stuff like this though....
You make me want a dirtbike. Great Videos
Go for it!
TheMissendenFlyer i Just found a Yamaha DT80mx thats 450€ and Not to far away, i can Ride it with my A1 license. it has some mechanical issues and needs some parts so i could get it Road legal. Also there are No papers for it... What do you think?
that looks really pretty, and good fun. shame that in London it was only a bit sprinkled on the card
+simone pozzoni Yeah it didn't last long here - it's all gone now!
I was up and out early to see the snow as well, great video
Thanks George, Gotta be done eh?
I think all that riding experience makes you a better road rider too. Awesome ride. You will be power sliding that Ducati next. I spent many years motocrossing - hang loose and let the bike do the work.
Good advice GS Mad, I'll know I've cracked it when I dare take my GS out in the snow (ain't gonna happen!!)
Cool. Going for a ride. Thank You.
Great ride 😁. Nice to have a bike with nobbies and have some extra fun .
I hope you kept yourself and the bike vertical off- camera also. Keep us posted 👍
Hi Rob, yep sure did, had I come off I can guarantee I would have posted it, that sort of thing is You Tube gold! :0)
+TheMissendenFlyer I sure didn't want you to crash there. I Enjoy your vids
+Rob thanks Rob - appreciate the kind words, I was trying quite hard to stay upright!
donuts in the snow are extra fun...both feet staying on the pegs.
:0)
Hmmmm Ice Skating with an engine...spectacular :)
Seems like perfect weather for a Ural.
+jkuster Yes - can always do with an extra wheel in weather like this! :0)
Great footage, its not something us southerners would be used to down in sunny Bournemouth !!!
So are you implying I therefore am a northerner? (That would be a first!) :0)
+TheMissendenFlyer maybe it was especially down in Bournemouth !!! However anything past Salisbury is generally up north !!
+Darren J Williams ...in that case, I am a northerner!
I nipped out on a 10 mile round trip on Saturday morning and wished I'd had heated grips. I really should invest in some, especially as I live in the middle of the mountains in Snowdonia!
Edit: What's with taking photos in portrait mode? Tsk! ;-)
+gizzmo84 You'll never go back once you've had them....if only I could bring myself to have them fitted on my Ducati.....
Nice scenery. Thanks for sharing
You're very welcome Joe....
beautiful scenery!! Well done mate!
+Dutch One Thanks! Although I can't be held responsible/take credit for the scenery ;0)
TheMissendenFlyer Good point. I just like the fact that you were able to enjoy a ride in the snow!
great to see! I love riding in snow, just stay well away from cars! get out & do it ! Thanks for vid. Cheers
+Drew Macmillan Agreed! Don't get much opportunity to do it here so it had to be done!
Looks like a nice ride pal. But I think your missing one of my stickers on that nice bike of yours!
+2wheelAdv Will it make me better at off road riding?
TheMissendenFlyer I have heard rumors it does! 😉
Whoa, I'm not sure who was the most tensed up - you on the bike, or me watching and thinking, he's going to come off any time now !!!
Trust me, I was tense! Got away with it though on that occasion!
Well it must be down to your excellent riding skills, it certainly made for an impressive video.
PS: I'm a little late for my response but have only just seen this posting when it popped up after watching your latest posting (Ducati 1st year review).
You're excused Gordon.... ;0)
Good to see you enjoying the weather! If you are going to do much more of that this winter, given your assessment of the oem rubber, a tyre upgrade might be a useful early purchase. Mind you, like oil, views as to the "right" tyres seem to differ. Any thoughts as to that yet?
Hi Len, yes I agree that tyres should be top of my purchase list, can't stop venting money on my new Italian baby though.....!!
+TheMissendenFlyer Hah. One way or another you are going to be flying again.
+Len Scapoff ...oh yes, I'll never stop the flying, I love bikes but aeroplanes are my first love....
Thanks for the memories....I grew up on martinsend lane and have fond memories of Prestwood, Missenden etc. and now live in the USA,
Where where you riding? I have not been back for several years...was it the Lee or Little Missenden area?
+dyno4mance It was what I call "The Pednor Loop" near the Lee area (back end of Chesham)....where in the US did you settle and should I move there??? ....I love the UK but I don't love the weather!!!!
Have you seen, Riding a Honda C90 motorcycle through the Arctic Circle in Winter by Ed March on You Tube
No, I'll check it out - something tells me it is going to be a bit more challenging than my ride near Chesham this morning! .....at least we have a Honda in common!
Agreed well worth a watch.
C90 adventures - he's very funny, him and his girlfriend.
Great video, Thanks for shaiing it.
Just beautiful. Where was this? I assume you're a Brit by the accent. I'm in Ipswich, Suffolk, and we haven't had that much snow here in quite a few years.
+Conway79 It's in the Chiltern hills near Chesham in South Buckinghamshire.....
+TheMissendenFlyer Thanks for the detailed response mate - noted! Love your work and looking forward to seeing what else you're riding in future.
+WeNeedASaga Thanks!
another great video, looks fun
+Stephen Mitchell Thanks Stephen - it was!
TMF, Good job keeping it upright in the snow/ice. I got a little nervous there a couple of times. Was that you squeaking at 6:00 or the horn? ;-)
I think it's a great idea if you have a lot of snow/ice - it's a relative rarity where I live so definitely a no no....
Love Your Little CRF250L
+bowlerwildcat2016 Thanks...
No prob i will be going through all vids on all the channels im subscribed to and your one of them
Great time, would love to take my WR250 on snow someday
+Florida Outdoor Adventures ...I'm guessing you don't get too much snow down your way....
lol zero
+Florida Outdoor Adventures ....lucky you!
I used to keep a DT 175 just for the snow. :-)
Good man :0)
Looks good fun riding the CRF250 in the snow as for the misses ide like to leave her out in it lol
Lovely scenery
Yes, it's a nice part of the country (given its so close to London)...
Beautiful scenery, is that the Chilterns?
Indeed it is - between Great Missenden and Chesham....
+TheMissendenFlyer Nice, walked up Coombe hill just the other day
+Surrey Rider I visit there a lot, my CRF may even have been there in the Summer too ;0)
I have ridden in snow on a duel before. it is crazy fun!
Thanks for stopping by - TMF
wow. I love getting crazy on my XR250L when it snows here. I slide everywhere...purposely.
Be rude not to!
Check out the deets in the description!
Is there more grip to be had on the fresh snow, rather than the car tracks ?
+crotchrocket ...not that I noticed, it was flippin' hairy wherever I rode!....good fun though and thanks for stopping by again - all the best - TMF
It is good for the soul!
100% agreed
Great video man ;)
Merci!
Great skills, man. That's not easy cruising. What brand heated grips did you go with? Easy to install?
+Vermont Dualsport Thanks - It looks hideously slow but it was hard work out there!! The heated grips are the R&G ones, I had some put on a previous bike and they were very reliable....I'm told they're straightforward to fit (I have to admit I had a professional do it!!)....Good to hear from you again...it's been a while!
Wow you've had a fair amount of snow, nothing at all in Bristol.... Which suits me as getting to work on two wheels is never much fun in the snow :-(
+DervMan ...pretty much all gone now!
enough power from the stator for full heat on the grips? Are you running any other powered electronics as well? Thanks.
Sure seems to be, I've had no problems with them (and no, I'm not running anything else bar the standard lights)....
Looks great!
+judas2610 Cheers :0)
Loving this! 👍
+Jetskicentral Thanks!
That looked fun😆
Yeah it was, and rarely did I exceed 20mph!
Is this a 2 lane road? I never understood why their roads were so narrow. Its obvious they have room to make them wider lol.
Sure is! The road size is historical from when this was just a farm track I suspect....
TheMissendenFlyer Great job on all your videos. I like the variety of content you have its very refreshing!👍🏽
MissendenFlyer, got any thoughts on the Givi Outback cases?
Err nope, I'm not familiar with them - do they make them for the CRF then?
I don't know about the CRF, but they are all aluminum cases. I know they make them for other bikes, like the 1200GS. I can't remember what other bikes you have.
+Boodieman72 I'm a GS man and have the BMW side cases, so I'm afraid I don't know anything about the Givi ones :0( Sorry about that....
TheMissendenFlyer No problem. I don't think BMW makes a case for my Honda NC700X though.
couldn't you just get studded dirt bike tires for the snowy season? i imagine it would be much easier to handle....
Well we don't really have a "snowy season" as such, we just get the odd sporadic dump through winter that may last a couple of days max, so it's not really worth the hassle....thanks for watching - TMF
where are you riding?
You an Ozzi?
what kind of video are you using ? Sounds good
England, no and a GoPro - thanks for watching....
@@TheMissendenFlyer
I have a go pro, are you using some kind of mic of muffler?
thanks
Yep ebay lavalier mic
@@TheMissendenFlyer
ok thanks I'll chk that out bloke:)
also is your go pro mounted on the side of your helmet?
what gloves do you have for winter riding?
I use Spidi H2Out gloves - the first set of motorcycle gloves I ever bought and still going strong many years later!
Pardon your French? I thought your French was adorable! 😅😂
More crf250l vids pls ;D
Coming - stay tuned!
It`s the land of hedges, nice!
+Simon Nomis Nothing wrong with a decent hedge Simon.....
+Simon Nomis ...so are you implying the Wales bit wasn't ;0)
+TheMissendenFlyer Lol, one should take care of his words. No seriously - Wales gave me my first lesson in playing whist, it caught me in action when I said "sheeps", it aquaintet me with lovely Fay S. and besides has georgeous oak trees. Did I mention the "sheeps"?
+Simon Nomis ..don't tell me Fay is a sheeps???
Are you feeling alright?
I freely admit I don't have the guts to go out in that weather :(
top man TMF ..
......or you mean you have the brains to stay at home? ;0)
Thanks for sharing.
+Joel Borden You're welcome Joel - glad you approve!
dont heated grips drain the battery? :) cause i may get some for my YBR 125
+Rob yeah, they're the ones I'm thinking of....
TheMissendenFlyer ah brilliant ! a worthy investment i think so :D
+SharpeFOCUS Photography go for it.....
nice and risky, what you do if car is coming? :)
+Enduro Riders ...not be going so fast that you can't stop! ......and keep that hand off the front brake ;0)
miss my old xl250r
Yes these little dirt bikes are great fun aren't they.....
Hiya TMF you still running the standard IRC tyres mate ?
+Pete Franks I am indeed - but I really should change 'em out for something better - any recommendations?
+TheMissendenFlyer Been reading good reviews on Maxis IT and michelin AC10s.. hopefully pic my bike up Saturday :)
+Pete Franks Exciting weekend ahead then - hope the weather plays ball for you (and I'll make a note of those Michelin AC10's and commence my research...). Cheers - TMF
Tried the same thing on my honda scooter. Ended up on my back. Broke my blinker off too. :( lol
+Byoexile Yeah, not easy is it!
Are you of to the Excel 0n the 12th
+Toby Duke As I did the NEC show in November I wasn't planning too....you??
watch out for the black ice, unlike white snow black ice rob you off your balance
+Cornelius Maximillianus Tell me about it!
Looks like fun ;)
Great fun !
+Phill Winstanley ..and I never went over 30mph!
You need studded tires
You're right there! ...alas not so good on the tarmac though....
Nec Ozzi zzz triumph Daytona 500
how do you still have the stock tires? lol
oh old video, nevermind. lmao
You got it!
If it looks like that 3 or 4 times a year it's beautiful, if it looks like that 3 or 4 months a year it's dreadful.
100% agree - luckily the former.....
Caz Gerald haha yup
