Good to see you back mate thought you had disappeared after changing companies
Stay safe out there, 2 weeks ago my mate drove me and a few people back from atik at 3am (he doesn't drink before you ask😂). When we got to Joydens wood he got ambushed by a random driver and this turned into a 15 min car chase. The driver called more people in, more cars came and kept creating roadblocks. By this time I jumped out home when he reached my house but this meant he didn't know where he was going so he got blocked in a dead end and the drivers came at him high asf with a hammer wanting a fight. Luckily he drove up the pavement and got away, but even now we don't know what this was about.
It’s more other road users that wind me up rather than the passengers to be honest ,the one big wind up from passengers is ringing the bell after you’ve gone past the stop then scream that they pressed the bell and swear blind they rang before the stop
I just write a report and send it into TFL to deal with I have a zero tolerance policy to verbal or physical abuse TFL is the same
I find this interesting to compare London to were I live which is Chesterfield, Derbyshire. If you drove here you would be in for a shock or two but in a nice way. Yes we get idiots but most of the time it's fairly safe. You would find that manners are used when we get off the bus we say thank you to the driver and when people board the bus they often ask how they are doing ? My village is served by a small bus company ' Hulleys of Baslow ' one driver used to help an lady who struggled a lot with walking he used to help her off . One of pet hates in Derbyshire is people pushing in they soon find that it does not work and they are sent to the back. I have been to London and was left with mixed feelings about the place every one seems to in a mad rush.
That happened to me months ago with an adult.
Today a woman opened the back doors on a roundabout but the driver managed to close them.
Nice too see that drivers from the other side of the ocean have the same problems as us XD
great words Taylor
I just pray nobody does it on the Scanias, I can barely work the door reset button😂😂
Oh wow remember your early channel. You was doing 96s looks like you with GAL
What about those bell pushers that press the bell but don’t get up out their seat until the bus has stopped and the doors are open… and I’m not talking about elderly folks !!
Am i the only one who thinks you look like Declan Rice
True i hate when there wait until the last minute to fine there pass. Or there scam or lie. Because they get on the bus and Start laughing yeahb it work. Somewhere i sawvon tick tok. By have a fake pass. It work
All sounds familiar at the moment smelly passengers is a gripe of mine 😢
I hate those who use the phones as that holds the bus up
Hey I’m a new driver, like the videos.
How do you do curtailments on the mdt/ibus system
I have made a video on the MDT please feel free to check it out hope it helps!
Hi Taylor, loving the videos.
How many different routes do bus drivers do?
I am on a rota where I only do one route. At my garage there is only one rota where you do 2 routes in a day.
What routes do you do at the garage ?
In seven days I'm switching from a truck to a bus :D, I think it's a real job for a professional :D, greetings from Slovenia.
Don't do it mad
@ozicryptoGIt's phenomenal for me, that I knew a long time ago to transfer from the truck to the bus, one weekend I work only Saturday or Sunday and the other weekend I'm free, I work from 5 to 8 hours a day. Sorry my English is not the best
@ozicryptoGYes, don't worry, I also had a short training session, only here in Slovenia you have minibuses, so you start driving first the small ones and then the big ones, don't worry in a few days you'll get into a stunt, good luck.
@ozicryptoGYou will see nothing terrible, good luck and let me know how the first couple of days went
Can I say something mate can you do 129 or is that different garage as that will go Gallions Reach
129 is at mg depot
@@Fobar90 nx
129 comes out of a different garage to mine.
Is it worth it having a job in bus driving the reviews are soooo mixed. It may depend on company but even then each company has mixed reviews.
It really depends what you want from bus driving if you love driving and can deal with the constant abuse from passengers then this is the job for you the pay is starting to get better thanks to our union but it has taken a long time to get there and a lot of fighting against management you really have to take a look at yourself and decide what you really want from the job
No... if you're a teenager or in your early 20s go and get a life and go back to uni or get a real career. Bus driver is a dead end job like a warehouse job. U don't even need gcse to be a bus driver
Do you still drive in the bexleyheath area
Yes I do.
@@TaylorStraub would be good to see you as I travel to that area sometimes
Going to London for the 1st time, are the buses contactless only or can cash be used?
Contactless payments only we stopped taking cash back in 2014
For paying directly onboard the bus, contactless only. However if you travel by train you can get a Zone 1-6 Travelcard which is valid on any mode of public transport in London (bus, underground, overground etc.) which you can pay in cash at your station's ticket office or ticket machine. Alternatively, oyster cards at London Underground ticket machines can also be topped up in cash
I've always felt bad when I see people abusing drivers & other public transport staff
Hi Taylor. Just a quick question but is it possible to be a bus driver without maths or English gcse
As far as I am aware no you need maths and English
Hi I don’t think you need GCSE level. They have and entrance exam of math and English but you don’t need GCSE level
Hi I don’t think you need GCSE level. They have and entrance exam of math and English but you don’t need GCSE level
Those who don’t pay I couldn’t careless about doesn’t bother me at all ignore them end of I don’t care it’s not my money
