Eks. Modular router sending in Blaze cakes. .......
You can sneak with a bucket to place lava directly into the heat generator block space ("lavalogging") in addition to doing the same with universal cables. This lets you effectively have every heat generator heated by 7 lava blocks for max heat (and thus max power). :)
You forget that the heat generator work whit laba to, puting lava on top of the sides of it or bottom it will generate powere to,thr best is all sied,easy way use one bucket whit lava place it on top and make 3 holes the the front and the sides(left,right) they have to be in the ground,and your done infinity power,not thr best but the cheapest way.
Quick note about hydrogen in a gas-burning generator: Mekanism is explicitly balanced so the energy production of 1 mB hydrogen is exactly the same as the energy cost to produce it. You cannot gain energy by producing hydrogen to directly burn, you can only use it to offset the energy cost of running an electrolytic separator purely for oxygen. The hydrogen can be stored for quick bursts of high energy output, a chemical battery of sorts, if you want. The only way to get net energy production from a gas-burning generator is by combining bio fuel, hydrogen, and water to produce ethylene. This stuff is crazy OP if modpacks don't nerf it. A gas-burning generator at maximum output is 72.19 kFE/t, at least last time I had one running at maximum capacity in 1.16.5, and that's just insanely high power output. Of course, you do need a LOT of bio fuel to keep up, so I suggest automating "silk touch" type melon block autofarming if your other mods make that possible.

An in-depth guide for the Configurator, different configs for machines, and the Logistical Sorter would be nice. It always feels to be in these tutorials, nobody ever covers things important to creating your own factories, not copying designs. Everyone can understand simple transport, where this mod gets complex is when you are building multi-faceted setups. I feel there are no good tutorials about sorting and advanced transport.
For some reason I can't seem to use the energy cube to power any machines but I can still store energy in them. am I doing something wrong with the energy cubes?
If you are are placing the cube beside the machine then check the side config of both the cube and the machine. If you are putting the cube in the machine in the energy slot then I don't believe the side config should matter.
Pairing it with create for my first mod pack. Also found Irons spells and spell books. So I named my pack Creating Mekanized Mysticism. But once I get an actual not HP laptop then I can add bigger fun mods like Ars neuvou and it’s create add on.

i was playing a pack with mekanism in it with my sibling, and i was already familiar with it but they were not, and i wanted to get them up to speed, and this guide is a great resource for that. mekanism is probably my favorite tech mod honestly. just the ability to have your machines running up to 9 processes in parallel at 10x speed is very nice for someone as impatient as me lol.
Didnt realize there was an auto eject button! I was wondering why my smelted stuff wasnt moving at all (upgrading from hoppers and chests to advanced machines and tubes) Thank you!
nice video, looking forward to the mekanism generators one :D. also you can combine the mekanism jetpack with elytra which makes it better/more fun(well you can combine them if you have a mod installed that lets you put elytra in the curios slot)
Playing on Vault Hunters 3, and I can't for the life of me get the pipes to connect to chests and factories. Works perfectly fine with tanks and lava, just refuses to connect to other things even if I change the pipe to push or pull and mess with the side config of the block.
It's going backwards?! 4 plain solar generators are better than the advanced one or the wind generator. I'm gonna just make the little ones from now on.
It depends on your modpack balancing, but the floorprint is lower for the advanced solar generator than 4 solar panels so per square it's more efficient

Really nice guide! Reminds me of when I first started VH and unlocked mekanism and was searching through guides, but none of them is as concise as yours. Mekanism is a pretty complex mod and you explained the basics really well. A part 2 would be great because there is simply too much stuff to cover such as multiblock machines (reactor, turbine, boiler, antimatter, induction matrix, etc) and ore pentupling. Also any plans for more episodes of Mastermined?

The heat generator is called "resistive heater" but looks the same in your video, it requires steel ingots and infused alloy which you can only get by infusing redstone with iron which needs energy which i dont have
So a few things: - Make sure you're using universal cables - make sure the "config" is correct on the machine you're trying to connect (config panel in the machine) - Some generators only allow power out of them on one side. Look for a green output
How do I get the power from the heat generator to my metallurgic infuser? I can't create the cable because I need steel, I've tried putting the heat generator next to it, and I've tried using redstone. Can someone please help me
I need cables to power the infuser so I can create some steel to make infusers. How do I create it if I can't link my generator with infuser? I got 0 steel when starting on this and infuser seems to be the only way to create it
So it's very modpack dependant, however, you should be able to configure the infuser to accept power by putting it right next to a power source without needing cables 😊 check the config side is set to "energy" and the power source has it outputting correctly. From memory, the back and the bottom of the infuser can accept energy by default
@@Hellfirem4ge thanks I’m new to creating things in Minecraft so all of this is really overwhelming. I tested with positioning under and behind, nothing worked until I found the one and only position that works. And the energy mapping is separate window which is confusing, because I can set tile to energy in both of the windows, but that does nothing… I had to set tile as Input in energy window and then it worked. Kinda weird if you ask me. It’s unclear for new players at first :| Again, thanks for the reply! P.S I’m on valhelsia modpack

Or on that note a refind storage guide seeing as everyone will be skipping SS for it like can create be used to power RS without power in the middle sorry for the long comment bit board was hoping to play today but bro is sick so no gaming for me
Ah. Havent used this mod since voltz. One thing that i remember about the heat gen is that you can use water and lava to surround the gen itself and it will passively generate power. Think it was 5 lava to 1 water. If memory is serving me right.

You should use trains from create if you have them

Oh that's really strange, I've never come across a pack that removes the energy cables. Any cable the transfers energy should work though
Old versions of mekanism could get laggy which I believe is why SF4 removed the cables. Use the cyclic cables instead. (If I remember correctly)

Check the config of the block you're trying to connect to. Chances are it's not set to input on that side

@MarcelifiedAlt oh the resistive heater is a completely different machine, that's used to increase the temperature of thermal evaporation chambers

I would say mechanism is the easiest to learn. Thermal is the least useful but still good and botania is super strong but better mid game

I use powah as an energy source for Mekanism. Works great with my nitro generator :)
Powah is the best power mod by far. I honestly think people sleep on it way too much but it is expensive to get into (especially in vault hunters)

You would need the cable honestly but the port at the back is where the energy comes out. It might work if the infuser is behind the heat generator
