There's another version of this song by Peach Hips, who also sing Tuxedo Mirage. You don't any knocking in that version...

I find the concept of the voice actresses of the inner senshi singing their songs and stuff really cool, and they sound amazing

@liyaland You're right, "hoshi" means "star", in this case "aoi hoshi" is blue star. The translation of this is "Earth" because Earth is known as the Blue Planet, like a "blue star" (it's more poetic I guess ;-) ). The actual word for Earth is "chikyuu" (地球).

I've never heard a version by Peach Hips! I do have this song in my Sailor Moon R ~Mirai he Mukatte~ album from back on the day, but it's the Mitsuishi Kotono version like you have here. Always loved that album... this track, Route Venus and Starlight Kisu ni Shite are by far the best on the CD ^^. There are a few minor inaccuracies, but all in all a pretty good translation for someone who's still learning!
They played a short version of this song in the sailor moon R movie at the end of the Make Up! Sailor guardians feturette

"Very interesting! A much more complex history than I remember. I thought it was just a knock-off of Chieko Basho’s song. I know some of the music in Sailor Moon had a Western influence. The theme for “Moon Prism Power” is a dead ringer for the intro of Magnum PI. Apparently “Heart Moving” was inspired by ABBA’s “The Winner Takes it All”.
