- It's been 15 years since a little movie called "Napoleon Dynamite" came out of nowhere to become the sleeper hit of 2004. It won three MTV Movie Awards, and has some of the most quotable movie lines of all time. Three of the show's stars John Heder (Napolen), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) are in Waukegan Thursday night for a conversation and screening of their classic film.
Kip is not in the future with them because he forgot to put in the crystals.
Kip was doomed as soon as LaFonda joined Black Lives Matter....rip Kip.

That's so true. So many people that I know said that they watched the movie and said that they hated it. I told them to watch it again and they got back to me and said that they love the movie now. PS: I wasn't that impressed with the movie the first time that I watched it. But I watched it again and now I watch it whenever it comes on.

I'm proud to say that I named my dog Napoleon A. Dynamite 13 years ago and hes still kicking just like this film.
I didn’t realize until recently that the writer and director for Napoleon Dynamite also wrote and directed Nacho Libre. Then thinking back I realized how similar the styles of those movies are. So many quotable lines in both movies.

It’s a crime how underrated Nacho Libre is, my family love it. When I was a teenager, we showed it to my Grandad. Thought he was gonna die he was laughing so hard. Will cherish that moment forever.

Somewhere between Jared Hess' script and the cast members' delivery, EVERY SINGLE LINE of the movie is quotable.
That’s hilarious that the dance sequence was totally unchoreographed. It’s one of the best and most famous dance sequences in movie history.

The acting was incredibly good in that movie. Right down to facial expression and body language. The subtle awkwardness between characters made it seem so real and believable.

I'll never forget leaving the theater confused as to what I just watched. I wasn't sure, but my hunch was, that I just witnessed something special. As the hours and days went on, I found myself slowly catching up to how amazing the film was. I went back over and over again. Greatness should take a while set in! If it had been instant, it would simply have been slap-stick. This was SO much more! Thank you everyone involved!

My late husband came across the movie a few years ago. I heard him laughing so hard that I went to check it out. I ended up sitting down next to him and we couldn't stop watching or laughing. We recorded it, plus everytime it was on t.v., we'd stop whatever we were doing and watch it. Our favorite line was, 'are you gonna eat those tots'? Then he smashes them with his fist! LOL. We entertained the idea of getting a tee shirt with that saying. Not everyone 'gets' the show. They think it's silly or just don't have the sense of humor that we do. I wish Kip and LaFawnduh could have been there too. She was perfect for the character. Every character was just spot-on funny as hell. I think it's a cult movie now and well-deserved. We never could figure out the time frame for the movie. I guess it was the 80's. When I need to laugh, I watch it!

I also love this movie! Sometimes, and I am sure you might be aware of this, but some movies do a thing where it is just supposed to be timeless. I have seen a few movies like that where there are wall phones, but let's say a modern car and the next scene they are watching something on an older model television 📺. I think it's just a creative choice the film maker does to stand out from the rest. Like they are saying; I have the freedom to do this for the sake of art. I love movies like that.

This makes me so happy to see the actors in real life out of character. I love the movie, honestly one of the rarest and most unique ever made. It had a budget of 400k but made 50 million, and it was first time film makers. It’s sheer brilliance.

I met Mr.Heder at Carl’s Jr. in North Hollywood, Ca. He was there with his little daughter and three friends. I swear he was a super nice guy, he signed autographs in my sketchbook for my son. I was really impressed on how humble he is and this was maybe a month or two after blades of glory had come out......after him and his friend finished their meals he took off in to his Honda mini van.
Got to love the valley. Seen him in Northridge once and Mission hills
Easily one of my all-time favorite movies. Proof you don't need explosives, nudity, or foul language to really entertain.
