This sounds like the type of song that would play in the bg in the beginning of a film about highschool while the depressed kid says something like, “Hi I’m Callum and I’m completely giving up soon. You see, my dad and my mom had a divorce, my pet dog died and not only that but my older brother is moving out to go to college meaning I have basically no one in my life to help me anymore. The reason I’m giving up on my life is because there’s no point in trying to even make a connection with someone if they’re eventually going to leave you or betray you. Take my friend Zack, for example: he was always there for me but the second he got the chance to be popular, he left me. So I’m going to school today and I’m not coming back home.” but then something happens during the day that’s changes his mind and he Movie takes the route of “Well I might try...I guess” And he ends up improving as a person and by the end of the movie he’s doing a speech for school or college or something and is like “So if there’s anything you should take away from my speech it’s that a life full of set backs is a life full of challenges and a life full of challenges is a life worth living.” or something idk I’m not a screenwriter lmao 😂

I need this to be in a high school movie, where the school expects everyone to be happy, and if you’re not, you go the “correction room.” And there is a group of kids that have been together since they were really little. And they all have a “mental illness” like Tourette’s, schizophrenia, Bad anxiety, dissociative identity disorder, etc. So the school tries to make them “stop” but they don’t understand that the type of illness’ they have can’t be “stopped.” Idk what else.
