- So I’ve been using a menstrual cup for AGES now and it’s honestly changed my life. This video has all the information you might need to switch to a cup cause it can be a bit difficult to get used to in the beginning. Hope this helps!

Also, you're probably the first person whom I listened talking about the feeling of blood gushing out. I HATEEE that feeling my god and for some reason no friend ever talked about???? It feels good to know that this is a legit thing and I'm not overthinking.

This video is so helpful, I was finding it hard to put it in correctly it would leak everytime I put in and and last time it was so painful that I decided not to use it again but I guess this time everything will be alright. Thanks mamagoat :)

Frankly my heavy flow is such that it overflows every two hours on heavy days, so it doesn't help in that use case. But despite that, using a cup has been liberating, as it cuts out the discomfort completely.
Luckily my parents allowed me to use mensural cups because my flow was heavy and pads were not working. They said to use small size for ages below 18 but I didn't think that would work (I am 17) so I got a medium. Good thing I did that because to fit perfectly. So ya the sizing they give isn't really practical.

Nothing prepares you for the pain when the cup decides to randomly open inside you. 😭😭😭😭 this happened to me 3 times when I inserted it in, and it didn't open up properly. From your video, I now understand you need to twist it on insertion.
If needed, one can wash the cup with unscented soap or you can leave your cup in warm water+unscented soaps' mixture for like 5-10 min. It vanishes the period blood smell and also gets sterilized.

@@smitasingh1537 stem is actually to locate the cup and not for removing. For removing the cup one should pinch the bottom of the cup to break the seal and then pull it out. Hope this helps.

I switched to a cup a year ago, and it's a lot better than pads.
I introduced the concept of menstrual cup to my mom very recently, saying that some of my friends as well started to use it, well just in case I use it in the future (coz pads can be incredibly messy and wet). As expected, she freaked out and shrieked that they will all die from horrible diseases and how do their mothers allow, and ordered me never to use it or even think about it 😂😂😂😂😭🤣

I bought a cup a few months ago but I wasn't able to insert it and gave up.. After watching your video a few days later I got my period and I tried I wasn't able to insert it but I tried again... Finally successful and now its so great!!

I my self using cup for 4 years from age of 16 years old in starting it was leaking coz i couldn't fit it perfectly then I got the idea why it was happening ,it happen when when wash your cup and the water get in the hole that is made in the cup for vacuum get closed which doesn't create vacuum inside so before inserting pls wipe the water on the cup and open it holes which get block by tissue or any perticular cloth so it's dry . It will never ever leak again bcoz it will create perfect vacuum inside if it is dry

It's been 2 days since I bought my menstrual cup and it's really difficult for me to insert it. It's half way in and I feel slight pain as if it's the dead end. Yes I kept it in an angle and it went half way through but there's no progress after that. This is my 3rd day of trying it and I just can't insert it in. I'm 17 and I recently ordered a cup but the problem is it's not going in n I've ordered a small size but the real problem is thaty skin feeling irritated at the touch. Should I consult my gynecologist
Use a lube, use water or something to make insertion easier. Also try inserting in a squatting postion, tilt the cup by 45 to 60 degrees instead of inserting it straight upwards. You should check out the channel "put a cup in it" for better tips for insertion.

Hi I switched to menstrual cup realllyyy recently. Just tried it and I can't get it out easily. As if whenever I try to take it out, the blood always falls in the floor which is like really messy. Does that make sense? Can you please suggest something
Take it out while sitting on the toilet. I faced the same and I tried taking it out on the toilet, it helps save the mess.

@@mahak7157 I’ve never dropped it. Just be careful 😜 sitting and taking it out ensures it’s not too messy. You can just use the jet or a mug of water to clean it
Hey mahak, I totally relate. I have been facing the same issue, especially because I have really heavy and clotty periods. I haven't found a way out, but I usually keep a paper napkin handy when I am removing it in unknown locations. Otherwise at home it's always easy to clear the mess.
you said that you pinch the um cup to take it out and remove the vaccum but wont that spill blood inside you if you pinch the cup and its full 😭😭
