    Definitely, the best site for controls.

    New at this, just moved from Maintenance Mechanic to Instrumentation and Electrical Tech., i struggle to understand how is it that the motor keeps running after the start button was let go. Saw this video and is very simple, Thanks A lot.

    Excellent video Walter! I have been looking for hours for how to setup a remote start for a VFD powering a 3 phase motor on a table saw. Yours by far is the simplest, most straight forward with a clear explanation of how to do it using an Ice Cube Relay and the functionality of that relay. This video provides background support for your other video: "Starting a VFD with 2-wire Start". Thank You!

    Good job 👍 .. Learning in a steel mill.. seems overwhelming.. place is very loud in places and can't communicate while watching trainer.. Hard place to learn.

    Do the 2 wires going to VFD need to be 24 volts, or can they be 120 volts?

    Can you control a VFD with a start stop holding circuit and a field device such as a pressure switch?

  • @BillFye

    Why doesn't the power from 1 and 3 cause a short against the line? Or maybe electricity doesn't work this way

      If you look carefully at the schematic about minute mark 2:40 you will see that 1,2, & 3 all originate from the same source. Therefore they are the same potential.

    • @AccessToPower
      @AccessToPower  5 років тому

      If I understand your question correctly, you should be able to connect a timer circuit in the same way that the float circuit is connected in the video link here. ua-cam.com/video/1J36SgPABFo/v-deo.html

    Can you just run two wires to start

    You're using 10amps for VFD and motor control yet say that 10amp relay not to be used with anything requiring a load? 10amp is the common rating for general residential use, lights and power points, here in Australia.

    • @AccessToPower
      @AccessToPower  10 місяців тому +1

      The 10 amp relay is being used to on the control circuit of the VFD… not the motor circuit. The current on the control for a start signal is measured in milliamps.
