yes, we have had very high inflation. however inflation has been global and US fared the best. our highest rate was about half that of the next lowest rate in places like UK and FR. meanwhile the rest of the world suffered double digit inflation with many countries dealing with hyperinflation. the whole world shut down for a year and then was half running the next. this caused a major decreasing shift in supply pared with stable to increased demand creates inflation. econ 101. US did the best in a high global inflation era.
I've never heard a valid argument in favor of capitalism. Proponents of capitalism only ever try to implement gaslighting and/or logical fallacies. Really. Try to have a sane, civil, honest conversation with any proponent of capitalism, and they'll prove my point. But if you like all manner products within the capitalst matrix, if you own a business, and have employees. and you still want a much more sane and harmonious economic system, You're Not A Fucking Hypocrite. Don't let them silence you with that weak argument . It would be just as ridiculous to argue that one is a hypocrite for drinking city tap water, when they had no other options , and therefore one shouldn't be able consider better sources of water. Narcissistic personality disorder is an epedemic. And when they project "well the problem is nobody wants to work. " Ask them what landlords even fucking do . Ask them what the CEO of Starbucks actually does . Etc. No shade at seasons of nondoership. But shade @ projection.
Charlie is actually so abhorrently dismissing the full scale issue of what inflation is. Inflation is not immoral. Once an economy stops inflating it stagnates, declines and collapses. Every time in history an economy stagnated was followed by a massive collapse. Secondly, the government debt is not your personal debt. You are not going to pay for the debt of a government. Thats not how government spending works. Clear case he has no idea what economics is. Third is that people of today's market can own a home with proper smart investing and not fearmongering people with interest rates.
It's baffling that you do not think government debt is not personal debt? Example: The local, small cities spent funds on aesthetics in order to attract new residents. It didn't work. The population has actually decreased in those cities. Guess what? Property taxes plus city owned utilities vastly increased in price in order to cover their local governments' deficits.
no government in any country has any money. The money comes from the government collecting taxes. from tax payers who pay those taxes out of their own earnings. if i gave out 10 dollar loans and charged 11 dollars in total to you to pay back the full loan. Ten people take out the 10 dollars loan and pay back 11 that keeps the inflation rate set. if only 9 people pay back the full loan then I would have to increase or inflate the cost of the other 9 loans so that i did not lose any money or i would then become bankrupt. So when debts become bad and do not get paid the you have to inflate or raise the cost of borrowing or as it is know in England the cost of living. Nearly all companies run a debt it is all a matter of how they can pay back those debts.

The kid is very naive but he is definitely not stupid. It's just where he's learning is the wrong spot to be learning from.
Change my mind is Steven Crowder
Great discussion, not just name calling…more please
It's hilarious that these kids don't realize they will lose all their friends after this goes viral
Charlie Kirk thank you for all your doing. Keep doing it.
I don't think the kid was "destroyed" as the headline addressed , it sounded like good dialog. That's a good thing.
It's funny how the kid has "Kanye for President" on his hoodie.
Nah, man.
More like "Charlie for President".
That Kanye for president shirt tells me that guy is an extremely smart dude.
Charlie has way too much energy😂Maybe he doesn’t have three kids because I wish I had that type of energy and mental stamina..I’m spending my time changing diapers and admonishing my relentless 9 and four year old😂Charlie is a dialectic assassin
I'm always so impressed by his intelligence... Something funny? I have been a leftist my whole life. Just maybe 2yrs ago, i believed this guy was the worst thing in the world. The left has gone off the fckin rails, though. Im politically homeless now...
Not homeless, you are free. Welcome to the independents. You'll love it here. We prioritize policies over parties. Free to think for yourself. Welcome to the club.
@@steves6756
She never mentioned a party.
What do you view as "left" in political terms?
@@redflag4781 Well she did. She said she was left now she is independent.
@@steves6756 "left" isn't a party.
Charlie's right about the people who benefit from inflation... that's my generation. Retired, bought property when it was cheap and sold when the market was high. People my age have had all of the blessings and none of the disadvantages. We should at least be aware of that and own up to our privileged lifestyle. Young people today have it much more difficult.
maybe instead of "teaching" all these feel good programs and sex ed. , they should teach basic economics , which is far more valuable than the crap teachers are putting forth now . he should already know all the questions he asked Charlie if he was getting a real "education . we'll all probley be seeing him on the dr. phil show shortly ,
Inflation is real ! Jan 2024 from 2.8% went up to 3.8% and still going up .. worst yrs of my country from 1987-1991 dropped down but Nov of 2023 we paid half of our dept in the world bank ... i hope more capitalist will invest soon thank you Lord🙏☝️💗
😂 this guy's whole family my clients 😂 users like crazy
This kid has def fell victim to the indoctrination of his economics professor. So much confidence so little common sense..
dude was smart in my opinion, at least he was buttoned up and had some good questions and knowledge. not many libs or lefty at the age are.
Anti-Capitalist as they enjoy the benefits of the same. These kids are in college? Seriously? I was smarter I kindergarten.
WHERE IS THE LINK TO THE ORIGINAL VIDEO!!!
I read his shirt and that's literally all I need to know about him.
Arrr yes, the joy of being young and thick, I remember it well.
I was lucky enough to buy my home. Only thing I owe is a improvement loan on the house.
The Philippino ken doll sounds so silly. He's just saying "hmm" and "hmm" not listening and getting ready to say something else. Throwing his hair around. We're doomed! 😅😅😅😅😅 and what a huge nose!
You hear this discussion and realise that all of this would go over Kamala Harris's head. She has absolutely no idea how an economy works. That will become more obvious as she gets pinned down in discussions and debates.
Turns out brics was a paper tiger. Also your description of the kid would also apply to charlie.
That kid keeps interrupting, and it's driving me crazy
I'm 75-years-old. When I opened escrow on my home in 1980, the interest rate was 9%. Three months later, when escrow closed, my interest rate was 11%. In the purusing years, I not only paid off my mortgage, I also paid off all of my student loans.
Instead of blaming us, perhaps the younger generations should take a page out of the Boomer Playbook.
are you comparing 1980 money to 2024 money?
@@iec7587 I'm stating what happened to me in 1980, and the pursuing years.
Compare the US economy under Jimmy Carter to the US economy under Biden. Not just the economies, but other issues as well. Are there any similarities?
@@anikaparker1077 you cant compare the money from 1980 to now with regards to housing.
@@iec7587 It's obvious, you did read what I wrote. I never mentioned money, and I made no comparisons of any kind.
@@iec7587 And yes you can compare 1980 dollars to 2024 dollars. One may or may not have more spending power. But most certainly, you can compare and contrast.
This student needs to shut up and let Charlie speak.
I like Charlie but I like this kid too. Future in politics for sure!
the smirk on his face is annoying as hell
A young mind that has never achieved anything in life and wants to continue living at someone else's expense?
Teach punctuality good work ethics and self motivation.
What exactly does Kirk mean by cheap money?
Printer go brrrrrr
Oh, to be young, and think you know everything. For example, the shirt. Nice choice.
"Why do you love politicians? Why be emotionally attached"
ask the woke lefties 😂
The Kanye for president shirt says alot
How can you take this boy seriously? He is wearing a Kanye for president hoodie. That didn’t age well at all.
I hate people like this kid who think they know everything
And he doesn't know 💩
Fell like that’s the problem with most these kids that come up to the mic in these videos they are not there to hear the answer he is giving just to try and ask leading questions to get Charlie to side with them which will never work
Always good.
Charlie euphemizing modern day usuary is disgusting
He was arrogant. Thats literally all he was.
Stop titling your posts with lies. He didn't try and cancel Charlie and Charlie didn't destroy him. They had a nice discussion and both of them were very civil. Do better when coming up with titles instead of this clickbait. It's Charlie Kirk... people are going to click, regardless. Other than that, your channel is great. You allow us to listen and then you give us your view. Well done.
This kid voted for Biden 100%
Jim Jordan is his best bet for VP.
Can do without the SubSaharan interjecting with literally nothing to add...which eye do I look at?
Trump isn't A politician. Trump 2024
Inflation is incredibly simple to understand when you stop calling it that. Debasement is what it is actually called.
My god listening to the commie is difficult
yes, we have had very high inflation. however inflation has been global and US fared the best. our highest rate was about half that of the next lowest rate in places like UK and FR. meanwhile the rest of the world suffered double digit inflation with many countries dealing with hyperinflation. the whole world shut down for a year and then was half running the next. this caused a major decreasing shift in supply pared with stable to increased demand creates inflation. econ 101. US did the best in a high global inflation era.
This kid is arrogant and condescending. Talking over Charlie trying so hard to get a ‘Gotcha moment’
Such a liberal brat
What can we expect from someone who supports Kanye? Just look at his tshirt, he lost the debate before it even began
Basically an arrogant kid with no life experience acting like he knows things. Super cringe
We libe Trump because he ISN'T a Politician.
The smugness of this kid is pathetic
Why have you even got a UA-cam channel? 😂😂😂
I can't afford food.
no government in any country has any money.
BRICKS countries are papet tiger theyll never come together....ever heard of OPEC?
He looks like a Marxist
“You’re not going to convince me on negative Trump stuff”
“I’m open minded, I’m just not going to change my mind on that” 🤔🤔🤔
It’s these intellectual barriers that prevent Charlie Kirk from ever rising to the level of great conservative thinkers like Matt Walsh or Jordan Peterson
Why repost others work.
You love God and you love Trump!!!
Wow lol so annoying
