Water is exchanged between the SVRP Aquifer and Spokane River.

The SVRP Aquifer and Spokane River are a dynamic system with water flowing between them. In hot summer months the river is dependent on cold aquifer water for the health of fish and wildlife. This aquifer water also allows for a vibrant recreation economy for fishing, kayaking, rafting, paddle boarding and swimming.
