I’m Mr. Taster and I’m currently in Italy, filled with anticipation as I prepare to visit two of the best restaurants in Rome alongside Mark and Jeffrey and also check out an amazing market.
First we went to Alfredo alla Scrofa, which was established in 1914, is the birthplace of Fettuccine Alfredo in Rome. Mr. Alfredo created the famous dish a century ago - Fettuccini with butter and Parmesan, a delight. The kitchen is highly acclaimed, offering Carbonara beautifully prepared. The golden spoon and fork, a gift from Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford, add a touch of history. The restaurant's ambiance showcases photos of famous personalities, and the menu includes excellent dishes like fried and boiled artichokes. The authentic Fettuccine Alfredo with a grated truffle topping is truly extraordinary.
Next we explored the vibrant Nuovo Mercato Esquilino in Rome for a charming market experience. Similar to a farmers market, it boasts dedicated stalls offering fresh produce, fish, meat, exotic spices, grains, and more at affordable prices. The market is a burst of colors, providing a wonderfully local experience with unique fruits and vegetables from China, India, South America, not commonly found in supermarkets. Additionally, within the same compound, discover stalls with oriental fabrics, luggage, garments, and shops with Asian tailors for alterations-a true delight for the senses.
Next off, we went to Ineo restaurant in Anantara Hotel, Rome, led by renowned chef Herus De Agostinis. Here we witnessed the creation of the Amatriciana pasta, where Guanciale, Italian cured pork cheek meat, which is meticulously sliced and sautéed to a perfect golden brown, creating a masterpiece with a crispy texture. The process involves a delightful mix of wine, sauce, and grated cheese, resulting in a delectable blend. Another highlight is the Fagottelli Al sugo di coda alla vaccinara, a magnificent dish resembling a unique cupcake, making the dining experience truly extraordinary.
We also tried the Maritozzi which are gorgeous Italian cream buns. A soft and light brioche style bun filled with sweetened whipped cream. This sweet is found almost exclusively in Rome. It’s origin can be traced all the way back to ancient Rome but became popular in the Middle Ages, when the church allowed it to be eaten during the fasting days of Lent. It’s name derives from the word marito, which means husband and during the 19th century men would propose by hiding a ring in a maritozzo
Last but not least we indulged in the culinary delights at Ineo restaurant, nestled in the Anantara Hotel in Rome, where Chef Herus De Agostinis showcases extraordinary dishes. Prepare to be mesmerized by the meticulous creation of Amatriciana pasta, featuring Italian cured pork cheek meat, Guanciale, and chilis. The process involves skillful slicing, sautéing to golden perfection, and a harmonious blend of flavors, resulting in a masterpiece. The culinary journey continues with Fagottelli Al sugo di coda alla vaccinara, a magnificent dish resembling a unique cupcake, truly extraordinary in every aspect. Each slice reveals the artistry behind this peculiar culinary creation.
A heartfelt thank you to all our followers for joining me on this culinary exploration in Italy. Your support and enthusiasm amplify the joy of sharing these experiences. Be sure to write your thoughts in the comment section below and stay tuned for more exciting content

@@alessandroalessandro4656 no forse all'ospedale 😂😂
You're awesome Mark! Thanks for sharing another great video!

The artichoke is native to Italy, perhaps you mean the style of preparation in this video?
