- Scuba Diving the Redondo Canyon (Vets Park) in California. Macro video captured with Backscatter Macromate Mini or 10+ macro lens on a GoPro Hero 3+ silver with an Orca torch D810v video light (Leisurepro). Lenses mounted on Backscatter flip 3.1, so it's easy to switch between lenses. With a deep canyon close to shore, this is a favorite dive for small critters and you never know what you might see.
Video includes:
Several species of crabs
Target shrimp, Tiger shrimp
Octopus
scorpionfish,
sea hare
sarcastic fringehead
cusk eel
thronback ray
a few species of flatfish
kelpfish
lizardfish
decorator crab
snails doing a Jack Nicholson impersonation - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
That's just great. I love the macro. We are PV regulars at Haggerty's, etc., but the canyon is way underrated.
fantastic video! I really enjoyed watching this!
outstanding shots, thank you for sharing!
It's so crazy how you dive at night! But I like your videos! They're very interesting!

Nice work!
great video thanks !
amazing shots, you deserve more credit than you got.
an endless amount of variety and organisms in that area, appears to be a very healthy and thriving ecosystem, looks also like a mixture of tropical and temperate species of mollusk and fish, what is the temperature of the region? it's absolutely amazing!!
Those shrimp look like great eating
Amazing video!!! Just a question: What about distorsion due to the Macromate lens? Did u crop this videos or not? Thanks a lot for the reply. Alex.
I haven't really noticed distortion from the Macromate Mini. The video is a bunch if individual clips, some are cropped, some are not cropped.
@@MrRJCtube So wow!!! I was thinking to the macromite because my cheap macro lens introduce a lot of distorsion! Thanks for reply! :-)
How do you dive at night? I thought sharks were most active then.
does someone know what is the animal they are trying to eat at 4:07? thanks
Rick what was the creature at 2:54 in your video. I saw one once at Gaviota beach in SB county and it freaked me out.
+Ryan Reilly I think its just a crab coverd in sea plants
+Ryan Reilly Looks like I missed your question previously. What you saw is a decorator crab. Decorator crabs will adorn themselves with material from their surroundings for camouflage.
Rick Coleman, i have seen many things about our underwaterlife, mostly standart things every human gets to know with a bit of education and special things of the deep blue ocean. But your videos made me see so many, for me totally unknown species and im really thankfull to you that you made those recordings! keep diving!
you have my dream. xd
I scared of them
That crab scared me at 2:50
