My favourite tip of yours (from a previous video) is that you can run your light covers through a cycle in the dishwasher. I had put off dusting/cleaning them for years before that video came along. Maybe you could do another video on all the things you can clean in the dishwasher that are a little unconventional. So far, I have washed my plastic dish drainer rack, dish brush, and toothbrush holder that way.
I pre wash before I load the dishwasher to extend the life of the machine. It runs daily for 17 years. Thanks for all the helpful tips for keeping the dishwasher runs top notch.
At our community soup kitchen the health department requires that utensils be placed down in the dishwasher for the reason you mentioned. You don’t want to grab that utensil by the part you’re going to eat from later.
My husband loads the dishwasher with cutlery facing up in the down compartment. But when it done, I find that taking that basket out and dump the cutlery on a kitchen towel works better for me to put it away

I clean my dishwasher with the generic crl ... the awesome version from Dollar tree.... I buy the great value dishwasher gel and I add a small scoop of OxiClean... My dishes come out perfect every time and it's cheaper than buying name brand... You don't have to pre rinse your dishes as long as you scoop off all the loose particles... Most newer dishwashers have a filter at the bottom that catches all loose food... So make sure you clean it at least once a month...

Because of you, I now put a cup of vinegar in the microwave for 2 minutes to clean it then put the heated cup of vinegar in the dishwasher.

If you put spoons together they will nest and then the items will not get clean.
