Great warbird video packed with insightful content! If you are driving to Palm Springs and pass by the March AFB Museum, you will see a B-52 Stratofortress on full static display from the freeway! Dale Brown's techno-thriller "Flight of the Old Dog" (a 1987 bestseller) provides a fictional account of a highly modified B-52 (called the EB-52 Megafortress and nicknamed the Old Dog) on a secret Cold War strike mission.

There is nothing like standing at the end of a runway and have one of these take off over your head. I did thing about 4 times when the Buffs were stationed at March AFB. I don’t think there will ever be another war aircraft that will beat the active duty longevity record of this aircraft.
