Here I was trying to assemble multiple fans into a stack while simultaneously trying to dodge the boss’s attacks. And then the current never even took me that high lmao
i took this idea and put 2 springs on top to get extra height in the gleeok den, and I barely had to go through phase 2 bc bullet time + dragon horn arrows. I took down king gleeok few minutes ago 💪
In a sense, this is him trying to apply the same cheese strategy as what you can do to cheese the skybound King Gleeoks. I'm not kidding; as long as the controls don't screw you over too much by denying you Ascend when you SHOULD be able to Ascend, those Ascend-able ruins in the skybound King Gleooks' will give you all the air time you need to ensure those King Gleeoks never fly up.
Brilliant use of structures. This was the hardest fight I’ve encountered this far. I drilled through 5 faries, 100 arrows. I was literally down to having no faries and two hears. I was out of arrows and killed him by launching the sage off my hover bike. What an outstanding fight
Just saying that I agree with your post. I've gotten to the point where the sky-dwelling King Gleeoks are now relatively pushover since they're kind enough to provide a few Ascend-able ruins that allow cheesing, but that of course means the lack of terrains in Gloom Gleeok's boss room means it cannot be cheesed and absolutely has to be dealt with the hard way.

Great strat! When he’s down on the ground, good time to use those Gibdo bones and a lynel bow (3x) to make this easy. Shoot him in the eyes when he’s stunned.
What I've gathered from experience and other walkthroughs: rocket shields, zonai springs, 3 shot lynel bow, and for the last part of the battle jump onto the icebergs then use recall to take you up closer to the gleeok
I wanted the Twilight Princess set so bad, I beat him with 6 hearts, a bunch of food and a Savage Lynel Bow. Needless to say I used a lot of arrows and a lot of Keese Eyeballs XD. On a sidenote I got stuck with the Ice-head left and the raining icicles was pure torture. I ran out of eyeballs too so I just was just using Aerocuda wings and prayed they took the last little bit of damage down.
Yeah. I got the other 2 pieces but this guy is too hard for me as I have really shit equipment because I struggle to even beat a red or blue Lynel.. so I'm gonna use my amiibo each day until I get it.
@@Kat-mu8wq Really? I beat my first Lynel just the other day and I did alright. As long as you remember how to fight them in botw it should work out. The only new attack I saw was the one where it swings its horns at you when you're too close. Other than that it's not much different from the Lynels in botw.
A lil piece of advice for its final phase: wear the Thunder Helmet so the thunders can't hurt u and then wait 'till the gleeok does the ice attack, then use Recall to get one of them go on top and grab on so u go up as well. Just be careful and do not go un top of the ice, otherwise there's a chance that other piece of ice falls down and hits u (it can also happen with the thunders if you're not wearing the helmet). When you arrive on top of the storm don't go straight to the gleeok, 'cause he'll do the fire attack and that's really hard to avoid if you're right in front of it.
I just used springs, they were just enough cover. Also used a Lynel bow with keese eye arrows, it really helps Oh and fully upgraded fierce deity armor
should have prepared a couple of rocket or springs shields for final phase though it's not nearly high enough, that scaffold is a good idea when combining with the shields
@@Julia.Taunton-Clark99 savage lynel bow and some sort of monster eye. Extremely effective, especially if you knock the gleeok down midair because it takes fall damage. If you have Zant’s helmet, use it. The unfreezable buff could be useful.
Dude, this reminds me of my first encounter with Colgera in the Depths. Y'all know the one I'm talking about, it's RIGHT by the Lightroot and if you look over the cliff he's there. My anxiety was through the damn roof and into outer space.
When i first saw him while i was exploring the depths, i turned tail real quick ( i couldn’t even beat a single elemental gleeok at that time ). After i figured out how to beat one, i came back and beat him on my first try. I use the savage lynel bow and some keese’s eye each time i fight a gleeok
I reverse-rode those icecicles up to him on 2nd phase, worked pretty well! I also forget about the sages all the time cause theyre annoying and i put them away >
I haven't tackled this one yet but did two of the sky king gleeoks using the rock formations as my scaffold Tha ks to your strategy and if you time it right, you can blast through this guy without him taking off for the skies at low health.
Bypassing the final phase by keeping him near (but under & no less than 1/3 health: final phase is 1/3-1/4) half health before going IN with 100+ attack weapon with enough attack up boosts is my go to, gerudo and eventide king gleeoks defeated in like 60 seconds every time, only knocking the gleeok to the ground 2 or 3 times. My first gleeok encouter ever was a king that took like 4 tries but I never even saw the final phase until my next next Gleeok encounter lol. (get gerudo weapons, zora weapons and sidons sage ability, or fused bones and bone prof sets for 120/130 attack and up!) Also it seems like from what ive seen flame gleeoks final phase is the easiest to deal with and still win, frost is the hardest not creating updrafts, & lastly make sure to hit the sweet spot on gleeok eyes when they are grounded too, bows and melee, for extra damage.
Maybe this is late, but if you use the scaffolding, fuse ice fruit with your arrow when shooting the fire head, and fire fruit when shooting the ice head, it quickly dispatched the head specially if you have low level bow
My tips for this fight are: - BE PREPARED; Bring as much arrows and bows as possible, bring strong weapons, and attack up potions/armor arent bad either - Fuse wings to arrows, doesnt matter which type of wings, when you fuse wings to an arrow, it goes much further and in a quick, straight line. - Rocket shields/Bomb shields/Spring shields, use them to immediately go into the air, and the SECOND the gleeok gets up, use one of the shields again and start shooting (wait until after it roars), do NOT give it a chance to attack you. For the second phase, just be extremely careful and save Tulin's skill so he can blow you away from dangerous spots. That's all, I hope this could help you.
Make sure you have food, gear up before you enter, save your game. Used Lynel bow 32x3 (broke two of them) and 3x75 weapons (2 broke). Put puffshrooms around me, when it gets closer to the ground, use water on the fire head, fire on the freezing head, dazzle on electric. Wore my full electric armor, so I wouldn’t lose my weapons if shock hit me, whacked them when on the ground 😃. Once it rises high in the sky, wait for a small icle to drop, climb on it, use reverse motion and travel up. Once in the sky, glide and shoot use puff shrooms on each head, it drops to the ground. Beat it up till it dies. 😅 I reloaded this game about 6 times, before I got the hang of it.
Died a few times myself. Finally beat it. Went through 4 zonai springs, idk how many arrows but maybe around 150 14 keese eyeballs 4 bows also used around 10 dinraal scales
Oh trust me, the amount of arrows I've wasted because I forget abt throwing items totally😂. The command to throw items only appears when you prepare to throw a weapon which I rarely ever do so I forgot
Over how many hours im not sure but I literally beat this game and nearly 100% it, and I’ve never encountered this gleeok in the depths, had to look it up after seeing a youtube comment
His lightning attack in the final stages is a 1 hitter for me and its soo annoying no matter how many electric elixers I use. I will not give up on this damn boss
The secret is to NOT panic during the final phase. The lightning and ice strikes have warning trails that follow you right before they hit the ground. Maneuver around these trails without dashing, wait till the attacks stop, hop onto the nearest icicle, use recall on it, and kill the Gleeok from there.
When he was high in the air the ice head shot ice spikes down. I used recall on them to reach him and felt like I bad ass, seeing the spikes whizz past on the way up
Why does it never occur to people to use Time Reverse to ride the icicles up? It's so much easier than trying to ride the air columns, especially since you don't have to worry about another icicle falling on your head while you're doing it!
Hmmmm... What about using arrows with eyes attached? Thats my strategy. And for the fibal phase i climb on an ice block and reverse the time on it to reach his heads again.
Creative idea but a waste of energy, materials and arrows. Just make some rocket shields and grab some lynel 3shot to 5shot bows. Makes this fight 10x easier.
Way easier to use 3-4 rocket shields, fuse flower bombs with each arrow shot. I’ve never had a gleeok even make it to the third phase. When he’s on the ground hit him with master sword fused with Lionel horn, before he gets up rocket up for more shots
In the depths under Thyphlo ruins, Its a little spot above the lost woods. (If you go to the chasm nearest to it you can get there faster by having your surface map equipped when you reach the depths
I got about halfway through this and ran out of arrows. lol. Managed to get to phase 2 with help from the sages but then was like, this is literally impossible without arrows at this stage.
I beat this thing on my third try after realizing I can attach rockets to ALL of my shields so I ate some atk food put on my fierce diety armor and a 67 atk claymore to finally beat it also used a Lynel Bow with giblo bones to one shot their heads
This gleeok was close to killing me on when it was low on health those thunder and ice it throws was a real pain I kept getting damage from them and used a keese wing to defeat them
