It's the stock Dana 30. Now the axle housind has been reinfoced with stronger brackets and a truss. And I swapped to RCV axle shafts. You can see it in the western alps video. I will add a front locker too.

Hey man, I have a 97 grand Cherokee limited v8, I just moved to southern Spain from America. What do you do for fuel while on the trail? Do you have fuel canisters with you? Also what are some important things to plan for before a trip like this? Thanks
Usually we have two 20 liter canisters per vehicle. If you pay attention and fuel up regularly you'll not any aditional fuel canisters. Wikiloc is probably the best source for trails in Europe. I always have a lot of tools and spare parts with me.
All the trails were very easy to drive with our Jeeps. All of them you can do with stock 4x4's (exept the last part in the video). I'm not sure about the tires. I've never driven off road without proper tires but I guess that should okay for the most cases.

Yes, I did it by myself. It's a Ford 8.8 axle. I swapped the rear axle and installed the locker all at once.
