Hi JC For me it is not so much a pinning of my entire left arm against my chest for downswing; but, more specifically I first swing with my UPPER TRAIL ARM throughout my backswing and then on my downswing I swing with my UPPER LEAD ARM across my chest which brings my entire body around to my classic finish This is the simplicity of a great golf swing and all I am thinking about throughout my entire swing. The rest of my body is passive and yet highly reactive especially my forearms; wrist and hands. As long as I am in my golf posture the ball simply gets in the way of my square club head. Hope you and everyone tries this. It is 100 percent guaranteed to work as long as any golfer allows it to and removes at least 500 negative tips from the PGA out of their head. My idea is original and at 73 I am a Human Iron Byron Machine . The entire golf swing is one percent active and 99 percent reactive. And ´ Thé Fraser’s Swing’ proves it. Cheers
With the banded exercise, where do you like to feel most of the tension in midsection? I feel it more in my right side as I twist and I’m a right handed golfer
@@jchowngolf I mean it, you have highlighted the three major flaws in my swing, because I have a sore back sometimes. Early extension is simply to get back in balance I see that now.

Thanks Max! I am fully qualified as a coach yes, but the knowledge didn’t come from the qualification, as the knowledge passed down via PGA or any other popular coaching qualification is very surface level. My knowledge on the swing has been mostly through self study 👍🏼
@@jchowngolf that's interesting to hear, as someone who doesn't know much about it, I just assumed the qualification would be in depth but it's good to hear that self study can get you to a very knowledgeable level. Obviously you are a very skilled golfer to be able to complete the qualifications, what was the hardest part for you coming down the handicap system and how did you break through it? I ask because I find myself plateauing around the 6-8 hcp mark and want to get to the next level to compete in scratch tournaments at my club etc
Absolutely, any qualification just gives you the basics fundamentals to operate as an instructor, all the great coaches like Foley, Gankas, Blackburn ect.. have gained their knowledge from their own study 👍🏼 Getting into the low single figures and to scratch and below is all about damage limitation. It’s much more about keeping bogeys or worse off the scorecard rather than making more birdies. Fixing destructive shots from tee to green will be the first step via making adjustments to technical areas of the swing 👍🏼

JC a feel of keeping my left knee my lead leg bent would that help with my compression ?
I wouldn’t recommend on keeping the lead knee bent through impact as you’ll lose speed
