Great video Jonathan! I was surprised that you didn't also cover the effect of the hips and proper weight shift to lead foot to initiate the downswing. My coach got me to work on this and hey presto it shallowed the club without me thinking about it. Of course this only works if you don't have the other three faults you mentioned.
@@jchowngolf had to of 😆. I literally had some of the best ball striking I’ve had all year after watching this. I shot 78 today after shooting a 101 at then very same course on Monday.
After looking a my golf swing, I realized that I am guilty of number 3. I can count on you to find the one thing that is overlooked by many. Thank you.
I lose tilt on my downswing. 😥 your video instructions resonate with me. I'm trying to incorporate changes mentioned in all your videos. Its going to be a long process. Hard to lose bad habits. I'll keep watching/rewatching videos till I get it down.
Keep up the practice! I’ve got a video coming out next week all about how to maximise your improvement out of your practice, to speed up the process 👍🏼
Too stiff. I thought of this. May not work for everyone but a loose backswing a loose start to the downswing and squeeze through the follow through. Not like trying to really squeeze hard but some pressure when you get waste high it’s helped me
Guilty of number 3, if I remember to rotate around my spine angle and keep a little more weight on my left side, everything is good. Just chipping , pitching, bunkers and putting to sort out!😂
Your videos are not the most polished out there, but the content is brilliant! How can I send you some $$ for a better turf mat? I cringe whenever you hit a ball off that one.
I don't understand how cupping lead wrist steepens shaft angle. in my opinion all it does is open the face. If you are steepening there is another motion you are doing

Excellent tip on how to move the right elbow in order to maintain the swallowing of the club. I love it and it really helps
Best video I've seen on shallowing the club, go raibh maith agat ♣️
Thanks for the kind words Michael 👍🏼
Was just looking for this very video! Perfect timing!
I must’ve read your mind haha! Glad you enjoyed it 🤙🏻

Your going to have a very successful channel. Your teaching has improved my game tremendously. Thank you!
Excellent drills for the new generation golf swing. Well done again Sir!
Really loving this channel. Short and to the point, refreshing and much easier to take information in than other youtube channels 👍🏻
Great drills I'm beginning to see the Light!!!! :-)
Thanks Kenneth! Haha great to hear!

Your video is the best, thank you very much!
Thanks bud!

Brilliant video, thanks!
Thanks John! 🤙🏻
Great videos and tips. I have a problem w/the right elbow, coming over the top. This video and swings reminds me of Jon Rahms swing.
great video JChown.
Thanks bud!
I have a strong grip will that also be hindrance in shallowing the club or to have a bow wrist?
Nice tips. I would also add number 4 (which helps me) Hands too far back in the setup.
Cheers Phil 🤙🏻
For me, the right hip is a major shallow deterrent. Keeping the R hip back in transition to the L hip up and out. So hard to sync this all up!

Great content, a coach who treats the illness not the symptom.. lessons?
Absolutely, the root cause has to be fixed first. All my lessons are done online via an app called Skillest 👍🏼

Thanks Robert! Haha a new mat will be purchased soon! It’s taken a beating from the winter, which still has not ended!
