These episodes are pure brilliance.Normal looking people, not all full of plastic and botox like these days.Loving it all and many thanks for showing.👍👍
I’m in heaven. Memories from my earliest childhood, watching our black and white telly in a house that looked exactly like those on Corrie. The people seemed so much more real than in today’s soaps.
The legend Eileen Derbyshire looks extremely attractive here as a yong woman, looks and figure she suiccessfully managed to carry for decades. Apparently only retiring from C.S. in 2016! And making a cameo appearance in 2019. She is the longest serving female cast member.
Bit insulting of Albert to lump Frank in the same generation as him, isn’t it? I mean I know Frank isn’t a ‘young-un’ like Ken, but he isn’t Albert’s generation either!
There wasn't that much difference between their generations. It was the ones who grew up after the Second World War who pulled away from what had been the norm for their parents and grandparents.
How many only get parts here and there struggling etc no shame in getting a regular well paid job good on them I say, it's part of the reason people keep watching
These were recorded "as live". The scene changes were done by cutting from one set of cameras to another. Editing was a difficult and expensive process in those days. So if anything went wrong, the recording would have to start again from the start of the first scene. Fluffed lines were not a good enough reason to do that.

Thank you for giving me my childhood back. This was the real Coronation Street.

Leonard Swindley getting into Captain Mainwaring style, telling Emily about ‘going into the field’ 😂😂
Love coronation street in the sixty brilliant actors and actresses xx
That scene with Minnie’s purchase! Classic.
Three of my favourite classic characters. Shame Martha didn’t last longer...
Ena looked mortified lol 😆
Annie Walkers dresses are fantastic.
Thank you for sharing I have enjoyed watching these old episodes of Corrie.
Ty so much for uploading these episodes great fan from NZ here ❤
It’s wonderful to hear Ken northern accent. Thanks for these early uploads! N
I wouldn’t have dared to speak to my father the way Ken speaks to his 😬
Do NOT leave that fire on when you go to bed, Frank!
Better acting because they had learned their trade
How on earth does Minnie get her wires crossed lol, ❤️ her nite dress Ena looked mortified tho haha 😆❤️❤️
Ken should've got on that train and kept going.
Love seeing the real fires burning - are they real or good gas imitation?
Wonder why Emily was never interested in Percy? There’s certainly a similarity ( in looks and manner) between him and Mr Swindley!
She never got over Ernest suppose
Classic corrie
That is one noisy clock 😂.
My grandma had a nightie like that 😂😂😂

20:43 I wonder what she'd think now!
23:39 How loud is that clock....
Why ( according to Len) does Nellie call him ‘Sam’?
Frank barlow really disliked his son.
A 12 year old never left a lone. What happened by the 70s..😮
Never understand why actors play same part for years, thought the idea was to play different people,,,
Well, you thought wrong, then.
You know what thought did.
@@wanderer299a"Aye, followed a muckcart thinking it were a wedding"....
what a dimwitted question! Were you high?

whoops - 15:25 Christine gets her Esther's and her Elsie's confuddled - - clearly no time/money/energy for a re-take!!

I prefer little mistakes like that being left in, it's much more like real life. We don't all speak perfectly without any mistakes do we? 🤷🏻♀️
