Never understood people who worry about the smallest amount of printing from their ccw but then walk around with a shirt that has a gun on it that says “keep calm and carry”, a palmetto state armory hat and tactical cargo pants
So, what do you suggest? A Hillary or Bernie T-shirt, Birkenstock’s and REI hat? 🙄
@@Joe-rx7ht yea because that's the only other option right?
Don't forget the Freedom Arms 22 long rifle belt buckle!
Making sure people don't see your gun is one of the most important thing to me in this environment. All it takes is someone calling the police and falsely telling them you were brandishing it just because they don't like gun owners.
@@igotthis449 Youre not wrong.
Nice, fair, unbiased overview. Thanks.
Two years later, and with the bugs worked out, my choice is the P365.
Carried the Shield in .40 but recently went to the P365. Its been solid and the best thing is that it carries more rounds in a smaller form factor. But it matters more THAT you carry rather than what you carry.
Four years with my shield and more than 5,000 rounds downrange. The shield has performed flawlessly for me. It's my everyday CCW and I love it!
Nice. My sig also flawless and it is 10+1 or 12+1 with great X-ray sights. It IS my EDC!!!
I put night sights, +2, apex trigger, Tlr6, talon grip, she makes me happy now =)
@@ThePerfeckted nice gun! I like the m&p for being all American. American owned and American made! I have no problem reloading a mag if I need to0. Hell I'd even carry a 7+1 or 8+1 for duty. I'm not saying I'd rather have less rounds in my gun but I don't make much of it. Infact I rotate between my 4" 2.0 compact and my 4" PC sheild. I use the compact for edc and my shield for when I'm my fat day.
@@igotthis449 We are lucky now days to have so many good options for carry. Of the guns reviewed, I have the Shield. Like with knives, I carry the same gun for a month or so, then switch to something different. I love the Shield, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be my Glock 33, converted to 26. I need another gun like need an IRS audit, but I am going to end up with a Sig 365 or Hellcat, maybe both. I really don't need more handguns, but it is like I have no control. By the way, I carried a S&W MDL 28 4 inch 357 Revolver. i figured no way I would ever need over six rounds! Now I am like a lot of people. and round count matters.
The Shield is a great gun.....I might be looking at a single stack here in the future, although I do enjoy carrying my SIG P229 regularly.
I have the rubberized Talon grips on my Shield & it helps a lot, especially living in SW VA. Great review, sir!!
Nice review. The Shield would have been my winner but mine started malfunctioning after four years. S&W did look at it and put in a new barrel. My PPS M2 is my single stack 9mm King at this point. If I need 10 or more rounds I have that covered already too.
It's always good when your shooting to keep your eye protection on top of your hat that way you always look cool.
Not🆒😎 not🆒
Super great review! You provide a lot of quality detail and insight. Good job!
Probably one of the best comparisons I've seen on UA-cam. Great work!
I had my M&P Shield for over a year and shot over a 1000 rounds without a single issue since I first bought it, so Smith & Wesson is a Win for me...
I own M&P Shield Performance .40 and love it but interested in the Sig. Great video....plus on the Shield you can fix the grip issue. Just install a Talon wrap.
That's wild, this video is 3 years old and these are the top 3 pistols I'm considering for my first edc. To me, it seems like the Shield Plus is the nicest to shoot, the 365 is the smallest, and the Glock is the lightest and most reliable. I have a weird feeling I'm gonna start a collection of edc's.
My two cents. The shield Is the most reliable and easiest to shoot. 3000 rounds and not a hiccup yet. It fits my large hands much better then the glock and the glock fits my hands better then the sig.
Honestly. every person will preferred different guns and how comfortable it is in your hand. I suggest going to gun range and rent these guns and shoot them. See which feels the best and shoot the best. They're all reliable as long as you maintain and take care of them
@@siddynmagae6038 I have this really smooth rubber grip sleeve over my shield and it feels even better in my hand now and it's easily the most comfortable to shoot out of the micro handguns. The only thing I'd carry over this is a lcp max when I'm wearing basketball shorts
I don't think of metal sights as "very nice," I think of Glock having the nerve to put plastic sights on a 550 dollar gun as "very not nice." Metal sights should just be a given.
Plastic sights belong on Nerf guns. My first yandgun was a Glock 19. I always packed it around in the factory hard case. I opened it up one day and the front sight had fallen off. Perfection..
Glock did that to save weight, not money.
@@5jjt what did they save a 1/16 of a oz. Glock uses plastic sights to save money and get away with it because glocks have a cult following that promote glock as the greatest thing ever because glocks are good guns and have built the longest running line of polymer guns that were reliable. Glock hasn't done anything innovated in forever all glocks lock the same but they havent had to because the outsold everyone
I carry a Shield 2.0 with hogue rubber over-grip and Apex trigger, and I am very happy with it. The grip is a solid upgrade, and the trigger is well worth the investment. I really wanted a 365, but with all the issues, I decided to go M&P, and I plan to stay the course for now.
Great video. Might I recommend a Vedder light tuck holster to eliminate the bulky plastic clip. Vedder has a very durable and slim metal clip which, also had optional claw attached. I purchased one from them that is formed to my p365 with streamlight TLR6 light/laser
Excellent review! Thank you for posting/sharing! Just subscribed.
Awesome vid👍 Congrats on the new house.
Great test Hegshot, knowing the current probs with the Sig, I'll stick with my 43 & SHIELD, Congrats on the new crib bruh.
Carried my shield for nearly 5 years now. No malfunctions yet an the trigger has gotten really good over use.
Good Video, and I agree with your thoughts!! So two thumbs up. I have all three of these guns and like them all. At this time, I'm going with the 365, that tiny little powerhouse is waaaaayyy capable for what it is. I'm an instructor for Yakima PD in Washington state, so I shoot more than most. On our rifle range I' can consistently ding the half silhouette at 75 yards, like 9 of 10 shots... I know, it's not for that.... But it's fun, and is darn near as accurate as a duty weapon, so there!! I'll love it unless it breaks, then ill reevaluate.
Good reviews. Congrats on the new home. When we retired from the military we were in Beaufort, SC- it sure was hot. In America we can buy which ever one we want, or all of them. I will stick with my Smith and Wesson Performance Center pistols which don’t require any additional upgrades.
My family member ( Wife's cousins husband ) bought a 365. He worked for Ruger years ago so it surprised me. Had problems with it, sights WAY off, not firing and he did an empty gun drop test and cycled. He took it back where he bought it. I know Smith makes a M&P Compact C holding 12 rounds way before Sig. About the same size of the Shield but wider
I have all 3. I love all 3. However, the G43 edges the other two out for me. Also, you can get a safety on a P365.
Ive had my Shield for 3 years and have shot 10,000+ rounds with its. When the Sig came out I pre ordered it and was so excited to get it. First day at the range my smile turned into a frown. All kinds of issues and after about 200 rounds it got so hot I couldnt hold it anymore. Its not a good range gun if you like to shoot. Went back to my Shield and Im waiting for the Shield 3.0 with a 12+1, lol.
MIRAGEG4 they fixed all the issues on the Sig with the April 2019 version. It’s perfect now.
I have a 1st gen shield with night sights & an after market trigger...fantastic accurate & reliable gun. But...looking at the Sig now. Smaller than both the shield & G43 with more rounds & night sights for $499....not really sure how you can beat that, going to have to pick one up here soon. I hear ya on the shield grip...I took a soldering iron to mine & stippled the grip, no more issues with the gun slipping around in your hands & easy to do.
I have all 3, and agree with your conclusion. The 365 brings more to the table, and it is WAY CAPABLE for being so small. Good Video!
Smithwesson m . P shield is clearly the best 👌
Right on, sig designed this gun around the magazine, you really just holding all clip. Amazing job and love the cuts design and quality. Amazing all around
Now it’s November, the Sig 365 is a little easier to find. The price at Gander Outdoors is about $460 and the 12 round mag is about $47. I think that you are right, it’s definitely on top right now. I think the 9mm that is even better than the glock is the Walther PPS. It just fits in your hand better, it’s even thinner than the glock. For the price I would definitely recommend it.
For anyone interested, i highly recommend the desantis slim tuk holster for the P365 and the Ruger LCP 2. Made the switch from concealment express which is the most common style it seems and SO glad i did! Very small comfortable holster and retains very well.
I carry AIWB btw.
Great review. I have all 3 and my P365 is definitely my favorite and after over 1,000 rounds and Zero malfunctions mines definitely reliable.
Is it significantly more accurate than the other 2?
@@xxk4rilsxx i like the way i can follow up with the shield. 365 is very accurate but if you're used to shield it'll take some shooting to get accustomed. after that it groups wonderfully. no experience with glock
Bob Saggit You still carrying the P365 ?? You still liking it over the Shield and 43?
P365 is the most unreliable out of the 3.To each their own i suppose
They're all 3 reliable. You would be in good hands with either
Every thing in ur video it’s Awesome . Thanks for all these great videos
Just bought the P365, I live in SC. Bought 2 at Bass Pro, one for SC and One for CT. I have a non- resident carry permit for CT and a residence there(part time). Shot both at the range FMJ 80 rnds and JHP total of 100 rnds in each. Not one hiccup. Accurate and easy to shoot. Easy to conceal and ordered 3 -12 rnd mags for backup carry and range time. Loading mags is tough. My thumb hurt for 2 days. Bought a UPLULA loader on Amazon $25. But the mag is so tight on the last rnd the Uplula tip bent a little, on the last rnd or 2. Bent it back but I am sure these mags will cause even this Israeli loader to break eventually. Great firearm. I have G19 and G23. Now only for the range. Will no longer carry those. They are to big for CC.
Awesome review! I own the shield, love it. I haven't shot the other two, but I know they're great too. Would be cool if you could compare one more gun with these. Either the FN 503 or FNS 9C. Thanks again, great video.
Had the original shield for 7 years now. Never had an issue. Really satisfied. One of my favorite for conceal carry.
Same here but for 3 years and i can honestly say that the P365 is noticeably smaller and more comfortable for me. Definitely consider the switch an upgrade
Thanks for the video comparison of the 3 guns. I purchased the P365 just this weekend before i watched your video. Glad to know i made the best decision. Shot the 3 guns listed above at the range trying to decide which to buy. I liked the P365 best, for handling, trigger and sights, then the Glock and the M&P 2.0 last. Just my 2 cents!!!
Just ordered the Sight P365 from Sportsman's Guide. Been wanting that one for a bit. Couldn't use Hegshot87 because I bought a Ruger AR5.56 and used the discount for that. I did have a $10 coupon for renewing my membership. Keep the videos coming!
I noticed with the sig the slide failed to lock back on last round once. Does the the thumbs forward grip ride the slide lock or was it mag issue ext. Thanks for video.
I noticed that as well. I wish he would have replied to your question. Probly alot of viewers noticed.
I'm having trouble finding a holster for my 2.0c 3.6". Every site I visit has the 4" 2.0 and the 3.5" 1.0 holsters, only.
Really cool video. I have the Shield and I'm looking to get a second pistol. This helps because I'm looking at the Glock 43 or the Sig P365. Thanks man!!!
Congrats hegshot87 to you and the family
Any problems with firing pin dragging on primers, I understand this is/was an issue.
Congrats on the home. Keep cranking out great vids bro. 👍🏾
Just got a Shield. Love it. Really accurate and a blast to shoot.
When doing a comparison on shooting different guns, you should post which gun you are shooting. It can be hard to know what gun you are shooting.
A bit aged ( 4 years ) but this is one of the best reviews I have ever watched. Thanks.
I own the M&P Shield plus Strictly for carrying. Fun to shoot with only modest recoil.
Theses days it comes with a 13round & 10 round mags. I must mention that the 13 round magazine is the best grip with much better results.
Excellent informative video explaining each gun
I carry the Sig P290RS 9mm now, in place of my Sheild. The P290 is so much smaller and still has the same round count. I am very interested in the 365 with the manual safety. I'm also in SC!
Me to man they have aftermarket mags that hold 10 that I've ran a good amount of rounds through for my reloads in case something goes down but I also love my xds in 9mm and my shield 45 as far as single stacks go
I just got that new sig sauer P365 thumb safety and it’s really great
All great guns, and have these three, but capacity is just not in the same ballpark with 365. 43, been in the safe for a while, and then went SW once the 365 come along. Just more comfortable and concealable for me. Now juggling between hellcat and 365. Thanks for the video. Keep your package small brother. Lol. 👍
How many rounds have you put through the P365?
I don’t know if this is a newer thing but I bought my sig about a year ago and it does have a safety switch.
Had a shield, the higher bore axis kept me from being consistent. The 43 took me some rounds but now i can run it almost as accurate and fast as my 19. The P365 sounds too good to be true, and so far it is. When/ if it gets its bugs worked out its going to potentially be the king. Congratulations on the new home btw.
Awesome video, thank you! Curious about your thoughts on the Glock 26 compared to these?
I am a glock guy. Carried one for years. I traded my 27 for shield 40. I am not sorry about that discussion. It’s so much easier to wear.
ALWAYS A GREAT REVIEW.. THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO!
Have the p365..sig makes awesome guns they had a lot of issues with the early p365’s but they seemed to have fixed the issues ..I get phenomenal groups.. and with 12 rounds out of a gun that small is just great and let me tell you it’s a game changer for sure..super easy to conceal.. I shot 200 rounds a day last weeks and I have had no problems with my Sig..absolutely love my p365..it is my go to for EDC
What camera and mic are you using? If you are not using a mic I would suggest the Rode Video Micro. You can hook it to a camera like the Canon M50 (which is what I use) or even an iPhone.
Awesome! A new house of your VERY own! Thanks 4 the video!
Have you had any issues with the p365 mag catch rusting?
congrats on the new house, Mr and Mrs Hegshot!
Adding a Hogue Grip Sleeve gives the SHIELD a better feel and prevents any slipping with wet hands without adding any bulk .
Hogue Grip Sleeve is hard to install but can be done without cutting a slit as some may suggest doing.
The newer SHIELD 2.0 fixed the issue with slipping, but, can be irritating when carried against skin, also has a better trigger than the original SHIELD.
All the handguns listed in the review are good shooters, easy to conceal and really comes down to personal preference in looks and price.
My personal EDC is the SHIELD with an added Hogue Grip Sleeve (roughly $15.00).
The SHIELD in my opinion gets the #1 pick, even if accessories such as night sights and a grip sleeve are purchased later, the cost is typically a little less than the higher priced.
I run a Pachmeyer rubber sleeve on my Shield. Works great.
My sig 290 and my xds in 9 are my top 2 single stack 9mm guns people sleep on both of then especially the 290 but I love it
P365 SAS no front sight only green DOT flush at the rear weird but cool, ready for an RMR sight love it. and yes wear a undershirt or pull you're pants down a little bit and wear long johns. lol and get a low tuck holster works for me.
How were they able to fit 10 Rounds into the Sig 365? G43 is also staggered magazine. Where did they get the extra space from?
Congratulations on the house Hegshot87
Every thing looks and sounds great Keep it up
Yes, always mention which one shoots better groups. The “shootability” of a small gun means everything. Which pistol shoots more like a larger pistol. All this other stuff is not important except reliability.
Just got a 43 and love it. Also have the 365 an xds and shield I love all of them they're all great
IL costs are outrageous in cook county. Shield ver 1 369 on sale - ver 2 up to 475.
Sig p365 april 2019 versions addressed many if not all of the prior issues. If you have a prior version of the Sig, send it back for repair.
Sam Hill, squirrels humpin'?! They gettin' more action that I ever have!! Thanks for the great vid Hegshot!!!
What brand holster do you recommend, I got sig p365 with tlr-6 coming my way.
Check out Bravo Concealment's Torsion IWB. It's ultra small and light. Easy to get on, stays on securely. If I had to rate my holsters, I'd say Bravo Concealment #1, Vedder #2 and Tulster #3. You have to try the damn things unfortunately and they're not cheap (at least not for me). Much MUCH love for the Bravo tho. Just got mine so I don't know how the composite belt clips will hold up. I'd include the optional metal clips if I bought again.
The Shield comes with one seven round and one right round magazines. He keeps saying seven. I carried mine for three years plus but I recently bought a P365. The p365 is my new favorite, Sig addressed the issues I two bought 12 round magazines. for it and had a kydex holster and magazine pouches made up.
I still have my Shield as a back up. I can't part with it. I agree about grip texture and trigger could be better but good as a CCW.
Sig addressed the issues with the firing pin breaking. To me you get what you pay for. more capacity, better sights both day and night. and better trigger. The only con I have is that you will have to retrain yourself to use your off-hand to assist with magazine changes. while it will drop on it's own, it gets held by your hand's grip. Not a show stopper but an added step and new mechanics added to your muscle memory drill.
Unle Al 50 Cal amen
You should have the lighting directed from an area near where you camera equipment is positioned. Also you could use some acoustic paneling to eliminate the echoing. You sound happy to be in your new space, congrats.
So do you prefer the 365 out of these 3 concealed?
Made a permanent choice on the P365 as my personal carry pistol and moved my Glock 27 to my “Truck Gun” love them both but the P365 is just more comfortable and easier to conceal for me.
The texturing on the sig is really nice to shoot with but it’s a bit rough while carrying. I have some talons on my desk to put on for less irritation.
I have a P365 for 10 months probably now, and have 0 issues with it. I carry it often, with all three different mags (10, 10 with extension, and 12 rounds). I also take it to the range often for continuous practice. I owned before the Shield Performance Center (with Talon grips) and I really liked that one but the mag capacity made me consider the Sig. I have not owned or shot the Glock yet, and maybe I don't need to.
I own all 3 of these fine firearms, but one that I also own that I feel in my opinion is my go to for conceal carry is my Walther PPS M2 LE, THIS IS ONE AWESOME FIREARM AND ANOTHER GREAT CHOICE FOR A CONCEALED CARRY.
Happy for you with the new house.......enjoy it. I have been pocket carrying a PC Shield 9mm and my son has the Sig and wanted me to trade up, but I enjoy my Shield
Nice setup man
Good Comparison review, Thanks
Great video, still like the shield 2.0 but the sig is on the radar in about a year when they have all the issues worked out
I've been ccw carrying Sig 365 and at times Glock 43. I use alien gear holsters, for me no other holster for comfort. Sig does bite a little since its grip is slightly more aggressive than glock. For me, can't go wrong with either for personal protection. Sig 365 comes ready to go, nothing needed to add on. Sights trigger and capacity winner. If glock would add some decent night sights, they'd probably sale more.
My shield sits in my gun safe these days but was a great protective weapon too.
Hey Heg! Not sure if you will see this but how does Tulster compare to Ted Cori’s holsters. Cant find Ted and looking for a holster thats equal to the ones he made. 👍🏽
I still will stick with my pps m2 but im kinda interest in going and trying out a lower budget single stack like the taurus G2s i already have the g2c and surprising its actually a really good gun over 1000 rounds and only 2 hiccups pretty accurate and ergonomic for only 230 bucks
I installed Talon grip tape on my shield. Problem solved for 20 bucks. I own all 3 in the review, but Smith is my EDC. Still practicing with the Sig 365.
Try the Handleit grips on the shield. Solves your grip issues, and wont rub you raw.
On my m&p 9 Sheild you have to move a lever forward that is inside the mag area to get the slide off. That part was not mentioned and yours came right off without moving a lever. Do you have a different model??
It's an option S&W built into their models. You can either work the lever inside the mag well or simply pull the trigger.
I own the 43 and the 365 and love them both. Gotta pick up the Shield and I think I am going to be going for the 2.0.
I was renting these three guns and was really impressed with the shield 2.0. I think I was shooting it the best. I liked the 43, but that dingus thing started to bother my trigger finger after about 50 rounds. The next week, I was actually going buy an FN 509 at the same store, but I started to realize I still need something small enough to carry (so I was leaning back to the shield 2.0) The guy behind the counter showed me the X Macro, and instantly I knew that was what I wanted. A grip big enough to hold onto, and a slimmer and smaller package than a full-sized 9. Honestly, I wasn't shooting the x macro all that great for the first 250 rounds but now I am getting better. Not being obsessed with the 17+1 capacity, I bought a wilson combat p365xl grip module. I really like this gun better now and each trip to the range it gets better...but the 43 and the m&p are great guns, no doubt.
You said you havent had an issue with the SIg, but isnt a striker drag a problem?
You mentioned a the MP and smooth grip, Ive never shot a Glock but it looks really smooth too
I have all 3.. Except the Shield is the Performance Center version.. Loved my Little Glock Battleworn... Then I got the Sig..... and bought the 12 round mags.. 13 rounds in that ever so small package.. and it is a Sig.. I generally carry the 10 rounder in the summertime.. But this winter is coming..lol.. Not married so I can afford to have all 3.. ..
Which one if 1 would you pick
My Kimber Ultra Ten ll.... lol.. I chose between the 3 and carry the 365... edc...
Captain Sam Wilson whys than an issue? Bc he rode the slide release or bc when putting in a new mag it takes the same time to rack it as it would to release with thumb or hand?
Even if you were married you can’t afford to NOT have all three. Just don’t let her know where the other two are stores.
TropicTom or just be a man and buy what you want. If you’re a grown man and have to hide a purchase then dump her. Is she your mother?
Nice comparisons brother!
I'll stick to my G2c, 12+1, windage and elevation rear sight, 3.2" barrel, less than half the price.
Great Comparison, my p365 has been reliable it has the best factory trigger imo but if you put an Apex trigger on the shield makes it a dream to shoot and best value for an excellent choice. Can't beat capacity on the p365 once all the issues are worked out it'll be an awesome option with great sights, trigger, grip, ergonomics and capacity, I wouldnt change anything on it. Glock 43 is also great especially with all the aftermarket accessories that are available. P365 sets a new standard on size with 11 and 13 rounds.
Had shield for a couple of years and added talon grips made all difference. Would take a lot to leave my shield
I have a shield 2.0 and it is a great pistol. Thinking back I wonder if I would have gone with the Sig P365, but it was like twice the cost.
I still prefer my S&W Shield. Great review, Hegshot.
Billy , the cab driver Yup, I bought the original, then upgraded to the 2.0, and then my wife got the Performance Center 2.0 and they are just great pistols
Sig for days
Had the P365 with the Mcarbo spring kit, sold it and kept my M&P Shield 2.0 with a apex duty carry trigger kit and factory trigger return spring for a awesome trigger pull. I am more accurate with the Shield and it just feels so nice in the hand and has a little less recoil than the P365. The night sights on the P365 were nice and was a nice gun, but I love my Shield 2.0
@@ontogenyx8684 I appreciate the heads up will do shield it is
I have owned all three, the Shield is a 2.0 9mm with integrated green laser is the only one I still own. The P365 just never felt good in the hand unless I was using the 12 round mag, making it too big. Mine had a born date of 28 June 2018 and it still had severe striker drag so I got rid of it. Shortly after picking up the shield and putting some rounds down range I got rid of the G43, no comparison. The Shield is more accurate for me out of the box, fits my hand better and has less recoil then the other two. After putting the Magguts +2 in the flush fit 7 round Shield magazine, turning it into a 9 round magazine, with only 1/4" additional length (just enough to comfortably get your pinky on) the fire power advantage of the P365 evaporated for pocket carry., Shield hands down! The integrated green laser even sweetens the deal, making 25 yard off hand shots dead on he kill zone on a silhouette target an easy task!
I remember I believe early on in the channel you talking about these two? I am not sure
With Shield, I added Foxx Holster rubberized grip tape...365 is my CCW now...
Have the Shield and Walther PPS. Like them both, but since appendix carry is the only position that I really like I choose the Shield due to the external safety. Know I'm in the minority on that safety, but it makes me feel much safer with appendix carry. Can't go wrong with a Shield.
