I dreamt of racing Ennerdale horseshoe having read ‘Feet in the Clouds’ Of course you needed to have had several races on the fells prior, which I hadn’t had. Eventually I’d travelled up from London, raced the Helvellyn across the Dodds, and Fairfield horseshoe. Ennerdale I think was always just out of reach for me, but seeing this today was good. I fell in love with Keswick and the fells. Alas, a little too late in the day. Fond memories though! Learning to run again at sixty-five, post cancer, and two new hips.
WOW Adam thanks for uploading this. I have hiked both the Pennine Way (12 days) and the C2C (10 days) backpacking both carrying camping gear food and water but the way you romped over the Ennerdale Circuit put me to shame. Sadly nearing my 66th Birthday in July 2023 my walkinmg/Hiking days are well and truely over. Tony in Essex.
Adam, this is so good, clear visibility, you explained the route and captured all of the elements of a proper Lakes fell race. This is a proper fell race, I love it! I know it was tough but it made it a great watch. Massive weldone for doing it.
Sorry, I keep commenting, I just keep doing it as I am watching. What an emotional journey just watching it. In incredible human strength to be doing it.
Wow the fells look absolutely amazing! Terrain looks tough to run on but the views more than make up for it! Hope I can run there sometime soon - the jungles of Thailand have been great to run in but looking forward to getting back to the UK soon. Great video, thanks for sharing
This is magnificent! I got COVID last weekend and haven't been able to do any running for a week now, which is making me miserable. I'm going to be in the Lakes next month though, and should be in shape for some easy fell runs, and this vid has really got me excited about the prospect! Great stuff, more fell run and race vids please.

Lovely running on the later part of the route. A favorite of mine.

Nicely done lad I should’ve done it in 2019 the year of my BG but it was shit weather and I bottled it! 😂fair dos. Kudos 🙌
Looks good event. I’ll see how it fits into next year’s plan 🙂
Lovin' the Chevin Chase top! Still using mine regularly too :-)
I see a lot around, its good they do long sleeved tees, and with it being in December they are always worn into the spring!
What a great looking race. Well done for grinding your way through it.
