Most recently, the band released "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", the lead single from the 2018 studio album ‘Pray for the Wicked’.

They did this live at the concert I went to with my dad who is a big fan of queen. They finished and my dad said to me "they did that song justice" idk why but it made me so happy

Yeah, it's hard. And I should know because I've sung it loads of times. I even had the guts to go up and sing it with a cover band upon invitation during my rock camp this summer. I'm actually preparing to perform my own arrangement of the song in November during my school's open mic night.

In my opinion, Panic! At The Disco was the perfect modern band to cover this song! And, from what I know, Queen didn't usually perform the operatic section of the song during live performances, which makes this cover even more impressive! Panic! is one of my favorite bands, and this just proves why :P

You can actually hear Queen's operatic section played between 4:00 and 4:07. No one on stage is actually singing that part. This version is pretty awesome but there is a reason Queen didn't play this operatic version on stage, it is simply too complicated. That's the reason Panic! doesn't entirely play it themselves on stage ;)

I was afraid to say what you just said re the operatic section for dread of dissing Queen. I wondered why they didn't and don't do the operatic section live. Maybe Freddie Mercury couldn't replicate the high pitches live, though, as he couldn't replicate the high pitches live with "We Are the Champions".
And don't forget Brendon is usually singing by himself! That's real hard to pull off!

Trey McGovern Everyone has a different way of singing it also Queen does sing with high pitch voices in some parts of the song, you can clearly hear it.They don't have to sing it exactly the same and so what if he might have said it differently he still has a great voice and I think he did an amazing job at singing it. You can really hear the work they did analyzing the song itself. Like that part when everybody sings 'Let him go' Brendon hits the high note and holds it longer, just as Roger did when recording. And the operatic part - even Queen didn't do it because of how complex it was vocally. This is truly one of the best covers there is

I love how Brendon's voice adds a modern feel to the lyrics of the song. Not that it's any better than the original but it just felt right, it felt different, and it felt all the same. On the other hand, I will never not have goosebumps every time I listen to this. Purely fcking phenomenal.
