That is awesome. Although I play the piano and I like plastic sleeves - except I use one for all the sheets. So I would put the whole song that you just taped in a plastic sleeve in a binder for easy transportation and then pull it all out to play it. :) Happy singing!
Nice video. It helped me visually get the concept, but you should start on the opposite side with the title facing you. Just do it the exact opposite way and it will work. I tried it this way, but the tape is on the wrong side and it's sticky as a result. Thanks for posting!
I only watched the first 2 minutes of the video... so what I did was for the first two pages I did like you said but then for the rest of the pages I just did them all on the front. Still seems to work good though. Thanks!
***** You are probably right, but I do a lot of music and have found that cellophane tape does not hold up well. Another choice is 3M medical tape. It available at most drugstores and will do a pretty good job. The tape I use is available from a company called VPC. It comes premeasured for different sizes of music. I order it on the internet: www.vpcinc.com/Category/Binding-Tape-Traditional-White-Transparent-168.cfm
This is fine but I can get my 8 page score to fit on my 3 page music rack and be able to get to pages 4-6 without the whole thing falling off the end. Anyone have a solution?
Okay, I think I can help you with this, but I can't explain it well, I think I need to make a video to show you. I will try to do that today, but basically you get as many pages up there as you can, and you arranged the other ones so that you're kind of turning them like they're pages in a book.
Put them all next to eachother TAPE ‘em in front or back (it realy doesn’t matter) and fold like a hormonica.. and that’s it. Helloooo What’s with the fuzz?
This would have been a bit easier to follow if the camera was focused... Meh, I had to throw away a really well acted scene due to forgetting to focus the camera once...
@@monsterjazzlicks I suspect you're buying cheap tape. But hey, whatever works for you. Can you help the other viewers out by letting them know what you use?
I kind of can't believe that I went to UA-cam for this, but I have to say it was helpful. It's been a long time since I had to do this.
What a legend! I go to drama school and needed correctly assembled sheet music for singing class, Love from the UK for this!! Xx
So glad it helped!
Selfish Mom I felt like an idiot for needing to look this up after playing for 12 years, but it was SUPER informative. Thanks :-)
Great and simple solution. I have hundreds of loose pages lying around. I spend more time trying to find the music than practicing
Roy Benton I hear you. I try to tape it as I print it, but it's so easy to get behind.
Doh! I was doing it backwards----tape on the front side. I hadn't thought about being able to fold the taped pages. This was very helpful. Thank you!
I’ve never heard of taping music until a couple days ago, this was super helpful!!
Been doing it that way for over 30 years.. lol Good to know someone is teaching everyone the right way to do it! :)

Have an audition tomorrow and wanted my music to look good. Thank you
I watch this video at least once a year. Maybe one day I’ll memorize how to do this.
You wouldn't believe how often I have to go back to my own videos to remember how to do things!!
Just tried it and works so well! Looks like I've been taping it the wrong way all this while..XD

Original Film Music If you have the pages touching when you tape there will be room to fold them but no exposed tape (no stickiness).
Thank you Amy this was very helpful
Hands free and seems. neater than sheet protectors.

It will be fine, but the reason behind it is that it's easier to accordion the pages if the tape is on alternating sides.
Music binding tape would give a more sturdy hinge between the pages.

If you are using regular sellotape then that is just ridiculous!
Why?
@@AmyEverAfter - because is cracks and yellows over time, and is terrible for the environment!

My 3M invisible scotch tape lasted 30 years, and still going..
