    Definitely feel a difference early on. I am shocked at the limited range of motion I have on the hurt shoulder vs the healthy shoulder.

    I have to say I've done this, along with sleeper stretch, for 3 days after having some pain for some time in the front of my shoulder and it works!! I'm very grateful for this video and thank you for posting.

    Great stretches. I trained back and biceps last night. I feel a nice stretch on the bicep when doing this too. Thank you!

    This is a great exercise, I do this throughout the day and it helps when my shoulders get achy from sitting all day. Can I ask, I have suffered from bicep tendonitis and this exercise helps so much and gives so much relief that I've added this into my routine.
    Can you explain how this exercise is beneficial for my bicep tendonitis? Thanks :D

    Will this do anything for my torn rotator cuff? I've tried exercises before and it only got worse.

      You have to try the exercise to know. Do several sets and then see if your symptoms are better.

    hi Dr. my left shoulder hurts, mainly when I raise it on the side (just halfway through), and when I extend it it REALLY hurts. What can this be? and Can I do this exercise even if it hurts? Thank you

      Yes, you cant try this exercise.

    Everybody recommends impossible and painful exercises to relieve painful conditions. I can’t do what you’re suggesting. I’d faint on the floor!

      perhaps your pain is too great for this exercise.

    Not recommended. This is susceptible to causing bicep tears arising from spasms.

    I'm a massage therapist and this isn't a stretch. You're pulsating the stretch, which does nothing. You need to hold a stretch for at least 20-30 seconds for the muscle tissue to stretch, anything before that does nothing to the muscle. What's your thought?

      It's a joint mobilization aimed at the articular capsule.

      Who said it was a stretch. As Seth below says, it is a self joint mobilization. It sounds like you are not familiar with the McKenzie method. This is a common exercise used for certain types of shoulder pain. This is not labeled "shoulder stretch.' The Exercise / mobilization is called "Repeated Shoulder Extension." Does that hint as stretch to you?
