Low paid pilots seems almost as bad as low paid doctors. What’s happening in Canada?

      Justin Trudeau is happening

      Nothing to do with Trudeau.
Airlines are paying market rates. There’s simply no competition in Canada nor is there room for it.
The solution would be for the government to nationalize Air Canada again.
Do you really want Trudeau to do that?

@@calvinnickel9995 no it does, carbon tax also applies to airlines. AC and Westjet fly flights around 1000 times a day, they gotta pay tax on fuel, which inturn is lower profits for airliens.

Pilots and Flight Attendants need to have better working conditions and wages, FA's literally make borderline poverty which is insane, especially experiencing this inflation.

They should for what travellers pay for a ticket. They certainly don’t reinvest in their unreliable decades old aircraft. Right Rouge?

Flown with them many times, loved them. Sure it's not the most premium airline but no where near the worst

No more delays his sign says. Ba ha ha ha! Yah they will probably get what they want. Then prices for flights will go through the roof and nobody will travel so then they just end up getting laid off.

Total Crew pay amounts to a fraction than what you pay for Airport Improvement Fees, security fees, Air Traffic Control fees, and GST. About 16% less. A Starbucks coffee is double what the crew is compensated per passenger ticket.

A national bank report to airline investors report literally states that an increase of 40% for pilot wages would only increase operating costs by only 2.5%!
Fuel, aircraft, canada airport improvement fees all add significantly more to the cost of your tickets to Mexico in the winter…

You pay 10x as much to the Uber driver who drives you to the airport in a clapped out Prius, that's BEFORE the tip. You pay 5x as much to the security screeners, 5x as much for a "airport improvement fee" A traveller pays a pilot between $3 and $5 of your ticket price to fly you safely for hours at hundreds on miles per hour in Canada's variable climate, and they don't accept tips.
