So nice to see proper fish handling techniques touted. Please also note that large trout SHOULD NOT BE GRIPPED at the tail. There is no point. The tail folds anyhow and a fish spine is not meant for handling anything but propulsion in a nearly weightless environment. Think of your own spine, meant to sustain gravity and even impact and how fragile our are!
when i was young in the 60s we caught fish up to 6 to 9 pounders in that lake and most tjmes we were the only ones on the lake lots of old memories
