@ramborambo4041 thank you for the feedback, I realized that after finishing the job. Nevertheless, it was the only video of an alternator change for this automobile at the time.
I can’t seem to find the back screw, there’s what seems to be a black cover on a screw but not sure what that is. That part of the video is hard to see
Any idea as to why the belt keeps coming off. I have the same car and looks to be the same setup but my belts keeps coming off from where the alternator goes.
Informational Purposes only: It is most likely an issue with the tensioner or the one of the pulleys. The issue I was having was due to the Alternator pulley being broken. I could have simply replaced that pulley on the alternator and this would have resolved my issue. I hope that helps.
Thx for the whole thing. I am wondering if you need to bleed the coolant system because you lost some coolant when isolating the hoses from the inter cooler? I just want to make sure. Thx a lot
@@Nikia17 thx for quick responses. Sorry if I didn’t explain properly. I meant that if it needs to bleed the air trapped inside the coolant system out after some coolant lost when isolating hoses from inter cooler? Simple terms, how to “ burp” the coolant system? The coolant system is a closed system after all. Thanks very much. Your answer is greatly appreciated.
I do not, but I believe you can call Mercedes Parts and they will give them to you. Just make sure to have your VIN available to ensure they can look up the correct ones.
Peace and Blessings, I've never encountered that problem before. I would check the forums or other videos to see if someone has experienced something similar.
good stuff but u didnt show how to unplug the plug attached to the car to the back of the alternator and what socket u used to unscrew the alt. off the side of car
The wire and connector can be disconnected from the bottom rear very very very easily also the fan should be removed according to mb but it’s easier to just remove the upper radiator hose also removing the intercooler coolant lines was not necessary just remove the clip and the e10 if needed
I found it easier to remove the wire connector after the alternator was free. I twisted the alternator to see the clips. You do have to remove the back power screw but can leave the plastic wire connector on until the alternator is free
@@DeadlyRealityTV I don't remember. It's white. There are a few other similar connectors nearby you can look at for reference that are easier to see. The clip clicks up towards the wire.
I saw your video many times and it definetly helped, really struggled to get that alternator away from the block, it was really really hard. Thank you
You removed too many things that you didn't have to remove, but the video was very informative. Thanks.

Your video has me convinced, I can't do the job lol. Great video.
As long as you have a little bit of time and patient, you can accomplish it with the right tools. I have faith in you!
Most helpful video on UA-cam I’ve ever searched. And I meant that Thanks man
Thank you so much for your kind words. 🤲🏾

Yes, it was a very small place to see and it is very dark back there
@@Nikia17 how do you get the black cover off the screw?
I used a 13 socket alone and wiggle it off.

Yes, make sure to cap your fluids.

@@j4yd3n33 thank you so much for that, I was familiar with that term.
Really awesome video. Thank you for doing this.
Much appreciated 🙏🏾
I'm trying to rebuild mine. Does anyone know the part #s for the pulley, two bearings, voltage regulator for this Bosch alternator?

@@Nikia17 MB only sell alternator.
Thank you, simple and useful, not the usual blabla...
You are welcome, my goal was to help DIY people that didn't want to spend a ton of money for something you can do yourself.
I got a question when I turn on the car is turns on and runs then suddenly it just stops running you know the problem?
Peace and Blessings, I've never encountered that problem before. I would check the forums or other videos to see if someone has experienced something similar.
What size Allen do you use to put in the tensioner to keep it locked
I don't recall the size, but it was small enough to fix in the hole yet large enough not to bend. Hope that makes sense.

Greatly appreciated your feedback, will incorporate in next video
What size 12 point socket is used for the tentioner?
Great video I will be doing this on my 2017 c300 thank u 🙏🏿

Good looks bro I’m using this on my car
Mantap mas...terima.kasih videonya .....dari indonesia
How do you get the f*^$%ing clip off?
I believe I had to pull the alternator out a little in order to get my tools back there
@@Nikia17 I got it. I didn't know how to unlatch it. PUll the little white clip up and then press
I’m having a hard time getting it off cause I can’t see what it looks like. Is the clip facing down or up?

Big up for showing your work👊🏾 Just did the same to my ‘16 E350…PITA to do but well worth the 💵saved
That's awesome, thank you for your encouragement!
Struggling like hell to get that oil line off. Seems like there’s something holding it
Did you try a flathead and did you make sure the screw is out.
@@Nikia17 yeah I took the screw out, not sure exactly where to lodge the flat head to get leverage. Is it under or over?
I did under I believe.
You would think since these parts are so hard to replace that it would last a long time. Nope
Next time remove the computer all the way and you have all the access you need to the bolt and plug
