Your work is amazing! I came upon your lessons in hopes that i could get started myself. I usually work in chalk pastels, so this is very new to me. I have been envious of those who can paint. What I have learned is I need more materials!
Hi Lisa, I'm relatively new to your channel, and I really enjoy your videos a lot. Not only are you an amazing artist who masters most media, but you are also a great instructor. And thanks a lot for not polluting your videos with noisy, annoying music in the background. Finally, I feel kind of related to you as I too suffer from fibromyalgi and ME/CFS. I used to draw and paint a lot as a kid and teenager, but stopped when entering college, and later on the corporate world. But after I contracted my chronic illness I've taken up drawing and painting again - although I'm quite rusty. But you are indeed giving me hope that it is possible to have a meaningful and fulfilling life despite chronic desease. And I'm very grateful to you that you have conveyed this important message by being so open about you life. Best regards from Anna 🌞😊👌
your techniques are amazing i love that your talking quickly to get in so many details of why and what your doing and it has helped me so miuch. thanks for the videos
Hello Lisa. You are a wonderful artist and teacher. I am a great fan and follower of yours. I have tried couple of your paintings by watching you paint and that was amazing. Thanks a lot :)
I love this so much, thank you for sharing wisdom. I feel like when I layer and try and achieve depth with acrylics I get muddy color -- I also use and love liquitex basics -- I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong ! is that one of the main advantages of an airbrush?
I LOVE your paintings, all your pieces are so magical and your fine detail is amazing. I'm starting to get more serious about art and watch a lot of your time lapses and tutorials (thanks a ton, they're so informative & helpful). however, every time you bust out the airbrush, it kills me, as I can't afford one yet. Do you have any tips on how to get airbrush effects for rays of light, shadows, and highlights without an actual airbrush?
i love the fact that ...now that I've been doing art long enough i know what your going to do before you do it 3 years ago i would have been so lost lol .....art love
+Lachri Fine Art I do all my nailart freehand. 🙌 You can see some of it on IG Nette1919 I actually already painted one of your paintings on my nails. The galazy one with palm trees. 🌅😍
It won't look the same as an airbrush but you can use a few layers of transparent mixing white thinned with a bit of water or glazing medium. Titanium white looks too foggy.
I really like the concept of this one and would like to try something similar. But I was wondering what is going on with the back end of the lowest dolphin? it looks a bit strange, kinda like a bulls head with 2 horns sticking out if you know what I mean. This is probably just showing you that I haven't studied dolphins very much as I don't know their anatomy, is it a different angle of the tail fin? Sorry if I am being dense here ;-)
I'm sure you get this question a lot, but what can I use instead of an airbrush if I can't afford one? i know that it won't look as nice, but is there something I can do to make it look similar?
For the rays of light you can get transparent mixing white from liquitex (the heavy body one) and glaze the streaks that way. Just thin the transparent mixing white with water. It won't be exactly the same but if you build layers it will look good. I should make a video on that!
Is there someone knows the difference between, Caran d'Ache Luminance and their aquarelle pencil brand? Bc I want to buy just the wite pencilI am all ready using the faber castell 120 set, I just need a good white pencil. But here in sweden i can just find one kind of white Caran d' Ache brand and that is their aquarelle pencils. Do someone know if its the same kind of effect or the same kind of pencilsut they are named diffrent? And if it's to kind of pencils can someone explain if the show the same result as the luminance?
Another stunning picture I love your underwater scenes, How about imadgining dolphins swimming through Ikia instead of humans it might help, and I hate crowds too.
i just love your paintings...they're magical😁👌

This is really beautifully rendered. My only critique is the light rays. A few less and straighter. I learned a lot though, so thanks for the video.

Love Dolphins do you have any artwork with seahorses ?
What if you don't have an airbrush? Would you glaze the rays of light with watered down white?
It won't look the same as an airbrush but you can use a few layers of transparent mixing white thinned with a bit of water or glazing medium. Titanium white looks too foggy.
Wow
Ur work iz amazing ,

What do you do if you don't have an airbrush?
What store do you buy your supplies?
Usually DickBlick or Jerry's Artarama.
...both online
impressive
I'm sure you get this question a lot, but what can I use instead of an airbrush if I can't afford one? i know that it won't look as nice, but is there something I can do to make it look similar?
I absolutely love this painting by the way!

Luminance are a wax based colored pencil where the aquarelle are a watercolor pencil.
Lachri Fine Art Ohh, i understand, thank you :D
Is it for beginner?
Happy thoughts ... alots of happy thoughts . I feel your pain.
K... So for those that don't own an air brush, what's the best way for the rays of light?
Transparent mixing white :)

Yep! the holidays have me a bit behind :)
