  • Hello my friends,
    In this video I'll be showing you how I achieved these beginner friendly watercolor mountains.. They may look complicated, but trust me, you can do it. With a few different techniques using lifting and blending, you'll be painting your own style of mountains no time. I hope you find this video useful and inspiring.
    Happy creating and take care,
    Jackie

    Great video. Thank you for teaching me the correct way to paint. I was actually making a lot of mistakes.
    I live in Michigan. The thumb 👍🏼 as many describe it 😀
    I moved a year ago, to the next city over from my previous residence. Best move ever. My patio sits in the back of the condo which overlooks trees and grass. No cars. No noise. Only serenity. Also, I’m right next to a 74 acre nature center. It has 191 spices of birds. I’ve been fortunate to see cardinals, mourning doves, hawks, woodpeckers, blue jays, many others. Looking forward to the fall this year. I moved into my condo right when the leaves had fallen. All the beautiful color of leaves I saw, and instantly thought I would have a blast this autumn on my patio. Time to go to Michaels and pick up some extra supplies. I never thought I would ever be able to have such serenity and peace, and I’m so grateful and thankful for this piece of heaven I was given. Much needed and will help my art immensely. I wish everyone blessings as I was given. J

    This is very helpful as still a beginner & lived most of my life in the Southwest so love painting mountains & trying to swipe off paint below each mountain or will go down the whole page with first very light & then let that dry & do next one. Practice helps ty.

    I live in California and can see the Sierra mountains from where we live in Sacramento. It is beautiful when the snow drops on the mountains.

    Just discovered your channel via Emma lefebvre…I live on the coast of Australia and love the beach…not many mountains around here…but I’m hoping to use your mountain techniques in miniature to improve painting my beach rocks and cliffs. Also some wishful thinking mountain misty paintings 😀

    Thank you so much for creating these very helpful videos; I love your style. I live on a ranch in Colorado at 7400 feet. I show horses and have a Jack Russell shorty dog. My husband has a degree in Fine Arts and was an illustrator for Hallmark Cards in KC after graduation. He missed the ranch life, so moved back and became a horse trainer and created his own style of custom sterling silver work (it's three denominational...not engraving). He has work all over US, Canada and Europe. He tries to help me with my watercolor adventure ,,,, but the husband/wife thing gets in the way. I am having fun....thanks again!

      Thanks for sharing, Suzi! Colorado and living on a ranch sounds beautiful and like a lot of hard work. I totally get having your spouse help you with things and it being frustrating lol.

      Hi Lauren! So glad you decided to join me over here. I hope you get what you’re after with your rocks and cliffs. I love cliffs; I’ll have to think about painting those too.
      I believe you can paint a misty scene! 🌲

    Can’t wait - I want to learn to paint your landscapes. They remind me of a trip to Washington/Idaho we took several years ago now, and it was SO beautiful. Would it be wrong of me to ask…and feel free to ignore me….what colors are in your palette? I have one just like that and want to fill it with useful colors and not things that are pretty but not worth having. ??

    • @JackiePeacock
      @JackiePeacock  10 місяців тому

      I’m so glad you’re enjoying them!
      I have so many random colors in my palette to be honest haha. But some of the colors I personally use quite often are by Daniel Smith and include perylene green, deep sap green, lunar black, burnt sienna, burnt umber, sepia, lemon yellow, yellow ochre, Indian red, paynes grey, Mayan blue, and a deep purple. I use more, but these are the ones I pull from most often. Of course it’s always nice to have your primary colors and a few others that you love if you can’t be bothered to mix your paints.

      Well cities are beautiful, too. I’ve always loved the evenings in summer when I lived in one. But, camping is a wonderful to escape the noice, and nothing beats fresh air. :)

    Hello Jackie, I also love misty scenes. I love the instructions with this video. I am so glad that we are able to see your palette and water. It helps to watch as for loading brushes. I struggle alot with that. Living in the Great Lakes area there is a verity of landscape. But I am so partial to mountains, pine trees and log cabins. The sound of wind through pine trees is delightful. I initially started pencil drawings but also like to add color to the drawings. So enjoying your tutorials. Thanks so much . ( still struggle with the lovely pine trees😉). Rebecca

    • @JackiePeacock
      @JackiePeacock  Рік тому

      Thank you , Rebecca! I'm so glad you liked the instructions. I'm trying, lol. Ooh yes, I am thinking about how to get the paints and water into my shots for future videos. I have a couple more videos that I've already filmed that may not have it, but moving forward I will keep that in mind. :)
      And I couldn't agree more; nothing more soothing than the sound of wind whistling through the trees.
      Keep practicing those trees! You'll get there, and you'll more than likely discover your own perfect tree and love it even more.
